You might have a 3rd party plugin that isn't compatible with Safari 4.0.4. Go here for help...

If you are using a USB hub, try disconnecting and restarting with just your keyboard and mouse connected.
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Empty Cache. When you are done with that...
from the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 5 buttons and click Reset.

It contains fixes that might help. Then repair disk permissions.
Quit any open applications/programs. Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.

Has anyone with a version 4 iPad had the front camera stop working? If so how did you get it to work again?

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off"
If you have an iPad 4 it is still under warranty. If the front camera is still not working call Apple Support for replacement.

I agree- I apologize if I sounded skeptical and attacking. In no way did I mean it to sound that way.
I completely agree on the software-hardware combo issue- this is why apple killed off 1G and 2G devices- because newer software revisions would never ever run well if at all on such ancient devices. can you imagine running iOS 6 on an iPhone/iPod touch 1G? That would be terrible. Let alone iOS 3 runs terrible on them and now are generally rendered useless due to newer App Store requirements (most require 4.3+ now to allow apple to kill off the older devices). forcing newer software on older hardware (apple, dell, HP,... Anything electronic this definitely applies to) will almost always yield less-than-par results. The other part is apple forcing you to upgrade by means of intentially making things obsolete. all companies do that.
All of this factual info aside, the issue at hand with the 5 is not a software-hardware combo problem- those are most widely seen with the major revisions. then again, this isn't the first time apple has gotten caught up in battery drain snafus (even iOS 5 was plagued with this as well- and now there are some people desperate to roll back but can't). it basically waters it down to the point where keeping the stock software will always yield the best results even though newer versions provide better features- it all depends on whether or not the person deems the added features are worth a performance hit.
PS. I'm still at 100%- and I've been using it periodically throughout the day. your combo worked for you, but didn't for me. And may or may not work for others- As the tech world would say, mileage may vary.
PSS. What model/carrier do you have? Just wondering.

Why has Siri stopped working on iPhone 4 after upgrading to IOS 5? I've tried the disable and reboot but continue to get the network error.

Apple has not been forthcoming on the explanation. My Siri worked on my iphone4 (not 4s) immediately after upgrading to IOS5, but I take it they have redirected the servers that used to support Siri to only work with Iphone4s.
It is one thing for apple to only bundle the improved Siri with IPhone 4S, or for them to remove Siri from the Ap store.
But it is another thing all together for apple to purchase a company, and then cease the service that many of us paid for.
Attempts to contact apple at apple store and via email have been unhelpful.

Does your Wifi drop when your iPad mini went into sleep mode after upgrading to iOS 7?

Dear iPad mini users, to those who have upgraded to iOS 7 like I did, do you experienced WiFi drop when your iPad is in sleeping mode? I noticed this problem only few days after upgrading my iOS. Initially I don't think there is such issue. After your iPad mini recover fom sleep mode, then it will automatically connect to WiFi again. My point is it no longer connected to WiFi in sleeping mode and so could not keep me up-to-date with my mail if I am on WiFi.
Do share your view and if there is a solution, do share with me please. I have tried almost all solutions available online but no no avail. At the moment, I am activating my 3G network so that when mail came in, my iPad will notify me even during its sleeping mode but this is getting expensive considering I am using the 3G 24 hours every day now.

I found an solution. Go to Settings/Mail, Contact, Calendar/Fetch new data and than enable Push and choose to fetch hourly or every 30 minutes. In this case your iPad will stay connected to wifi even when smart cover is closed. If you select Manualy than wifi connection will be terminated when in sleep mode.

Try a new SIM from your carrier. If that doesn't work, make a Genius Bar appointment and get your phone evaluated.

Etter at jeg nettopp oppgraderte min iPhone 4 til ios 7 ble det plutselig svært tregt å skrive på telefonen. Det tok f.eks 8-10 sekunder fra jeg trykket til bokstaven dukket opp på skjermen. Brukerservice på apple.com visste ikke råd og den lokale apple-butikken ga meg oppskrift på hvordan jeg skulle nedgradere til ios 6 igjen (som anbefalt løsning) ?!!
Jeg fant imidlertid løsning på problemet på dette forumet (på den engelske utgaven), så for evt. norske brukere (og apple-butikker) er løssningen denne:
Gå inn på Innstillinger - velg iCloud - SLÅ AV Dokumenter og data. (Turn OFF Documents and data in iCloud)

I am having the exact same issue with the Keeper app. I just upgraded my iPhone 4 to IOS 7.1.2 and the Keeper app crashed when attempting to open it. I then updated the Keeper from the app store and now it will allow me to enter my password but just before it opens it crashes again. I contacted Keeper and they do not have an explanation other then to say "it may have been a technical glitch". Since I don't subscribe to the online storage service, their only suggestion was to delete the app from my iPhone and try reloading from the app store. I have not tried this yet, as I'm pretty certain that will erase all my password data contained within the local application. I'm trying to come up with another solution or maybe they will release a version of Keeper that magically fixes the issue. I also tried to restore backup from a time when the app was working, but I cannot restore the old IOS. Only your settings, apps, photos, etc... are saved in your backup files. I tried it anyway and of course it didn't work. Same problem. Would love to hear if anyone has another suggestion.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.
Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. 
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. 
All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

Hi - the new lightning connector on the iPhone 5 has an authentication chip so very few 3rd party manufacturers have come out with compatible devices - so I doubt that you will find a frame that works for both phones - however Apple has come out with 2 apapters - one is a cable and one is a direct 30 pin to lightning device - you would have to check out each frame to see if one of these might work - I looked at the Panasonic and it looks promising but I would check the return policy of anything that you buy in a case it doesn't work.

Check the outgoing mail server setting. Make sure that your username and password are in there.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional.
