My boyfriend cant recieve messages after new ios 7 update?
My boyfriend isnt recieveing my messages after new update. He only sees the message whem he opens the app. We are both on vodafone i recieve his and my friends recieve mine so it cant be the network. Ive looked at notification centre and i dont see any problems soo wtheck!! Any help? Anyone having this or has a solution.

Battery life seems short

Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
Connect iPhone to iTunes and restore iPhone.
If the screen shows a low-battery image, the battery is low on power and needs to charge for up to ten minutes before you can use it.
When charging iPhone, make sure to leave it charging until it is fully charged. You'll know the battery is fully charged when the battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen looks like this .
Note: When charging using a computer, don't connect iPhone to a keyboard. Also, the computer must be turned on and not in sleep or standby mode. If iPhone is connected to a computer that's not turned on or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPhone battery may drain.
Note: Charging with a FireWire-based power source is not supported, except on original iPhone.
If you continue to have battery-life issues, we may need to isolate the issue further. It might be best to restore your iPhone as new, then test once more:

You can restore the device as new from any computer, it doesn't have to be yours. If you have your device backed up via iCloud, then you can restore to that backup. I'm not sure what Vodafone would do, but I can tell you they cannot backup your phone if that is what you are asking, since the phone is in recovery mode. You can just as easily make an appointment at the Apple store to ask them to help if you cannot get access to a computer.

I got no 3 G on my ipad 2 after new ios update

I had same thing and discovered my APN settings had vanished.
Go to:
Settings/Mobile Data/APN settings
And re-enter whatever settings your local 3G carrier likes... -
fter updating my IOS TO 8.1 (12B411) on 10/23/14, I went to update my blood sugar level in the IHealth app. And now after the new IOS update I'm unable to find the blood glucose option in the IHealth app. Did Apple remove it or just mess up AGAIN?
Apple removed blood glucose until further notice. The reason behind this is that it gave a distorted picture in countries where the medical world used other measuring units. I suspect it will be available again in a future update.

Update - I now have it working.
am not really sure what exactly fixed it.
I changed a lot of things but my setup now has the following which I think fixed.
outgoing server - p06-smtp.mail.me.com
override default port checked - port now 587
on more options button changed it to "use incoming server info". -

No badge alert on setting icon when the new ios update is released
Hi all,
I use iphone 5. I found that a badge is not shown on the setting icon when a new ios update is released. Only way letting me know that there is an update is manual check update, i.e. go to setting->general->software update. I think, normally, the badge should present automatically on the setting icon everytime the update is released. Does anyone find this problem? How to solve this?

I upgraded from an iPhone 4s to 5 recently. I had the Settings badge show up right after I got the phone, but after I got home and did a restore from backup to get my 4s stuff over to the 5, then no more badge notification.
I can't find any settings anywhere to help with this.

Trying to connect my Digital AV Adapter to watch Netflex or Amazon Prime movie from IPad to TV and asking to disconnect AirPlay & mirroring. I do not have Air Play and there is no way to do this. Anyone have a solution? Is this a result of the new iOS update? Thank you.

Just go to YouTube.com in safari and view the content that way. Create a shortcut on the home screen so you do not bleed to type in the address.

After seven ios updates, why is iBooks still the only app that won't synch between iphone & ipad?!?

Thanks for the reply. I did think that could be the case but then other books would also show up as apps on phone but not counted as an app. Maybe book apps downloaded from the app store work in this way whereas books bought from the ibooks app show in ibooks and not as apps.
I guess that would make sense, it must be because they are books but downloaded from the app store rather than the book store so they are visible as an app but don't actually get counted as an app.
Would you think that's the case too?

I was trying to installed new ios update and suddenly my WIFI connection got desconnect. now I am trying to restore my Ipad2 but getting error saying "the Ipad could not restored, An unknown error accured (3194)". so please help me out to resolve the same.
When I restart my iPad the connect to iTunes comes up and stays on until it shuts down again, I have read a report from Apple support suggesting I reinstall iTunes so I might try that again and also your suggestion which i shall also try, but thanks again - rg1547
