My brand new printer LaserJet Pro MPF M127fn won't print after initial test print worked fine

Just installed this printer.  USB connection to my PC.  Test prints worked fine.  Suddenly has stop printing from Word or emails.

On your Mac, open:
System preferences > Network > (whatever your connection) and examine the IPv4 Address.
Wired routers most often use local addresses in the 192.168.xxx.yyy range
Wireless Routers most often use local addresses in the 10.10.xxx.yyy range.
These ranges (along with a few others) are reserved for sets of "private" addresses, that are not visible on the Internet.
The Router will usually be located at kkk.lll.mmm.01
Whatever the range you are using, all the devices with similar addresses can talk freely to each other without any intervention. Any devices with sharply different addresses (such as the entirety of the Internet) must use the Router as their "agent" to communicate.
You want your printers to have addresses in the same range as everything else. If you find you have two non-overlapping ranges active, you will need to demote one of your Routers to be only a wireless access point, not a full Router.

  • Hp laserjet Pro 200 M276nw won't consistently connect wirelessly with iMac

I'm on my second brand new hp laserjet Pro 200 M276nw in 3 days, it will not consistently connect wirelessly with my newly purchased (8days old) Apple refurbished 27" iMac on OSX 10.9, i7 chip & Fusion Drive.  The hp laserjet will sometimes connect wirelessly immediately after clicking "print" on the iMac, but about half the time it says "printer not connected" & takes 2-4 minutes (or longer) before the devices do connect. I've called hp support many times, they're reset various things via remote takeover of my iMac, the printer will work for a few of minutes but then the same problem returns. AppleCare made sure I have the
correct Airprint driver installed & also checked my settings, but says they don't know why this is occurring. I've also verified that our newer (6 months old) AT&T router is functioning correctly.
My older hp laserjet (CM1312nfi MFP) has worked flawlessly since 2009 via USB connection with my old iMac (still on Snow Leopard), I assumed it would continue with the new one, but there is no software update for Mavericks & the scanning feature won't operate on the new iMac. Hp says it is a discontinued model. The new hp laserjet is a successor model to the older one, they are both very similar except for the new wireless feature.
I can print fast & wirelessly from the new iMac via a different new hp inkjet printer (8600 series) here in the house. This inkjet printer is less than a month old, I installed it myself for a Windows laptop here, it has never malfunctioned.  Unfortunately it's upstairs & I do not like inkjet print quality, I need a good laserjet here in my office downstairs next to my iMac.

    HI there
Did you manage to sort this issue out - as I have exactly the same problem.
Lots of similarities as I also have an inkjet 8600 which works via USB and wirelessly no problems at all!
I always  buy HP printers as they are usually easy to set up - but this one is making me tear my hair out!
I've even upgraded to Yosemite and downloaded the new drivers from HP - no success.  The printer will print one page and then become unavailable.
I can print via USB or wireless direct - but not just via my wireless network which is what I want to do!
No responses posted - so assume no one has a fix.
    aaaargh!!!

Got a brand new, fresh out of the box, HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fn. Failed to install the driver that came with it on my computer Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium. I downloaded latest driver (full version) and still failed to install. The installation stopped at 75% repeatedly.  Printer itself seems to work fine. I printed the Self Test / Configuration page.   I am connecting/wired with the router.
I tried the installation many many times. Hope one of you have a solution for this problem.
    Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hello , Welcome to the HP Community.  I'd like to help you with the installation and printing issues you are having with your HP Laserjet Pro M201dw, on your Windows 8.1 operating system. I can certainly understand your frustration, it seems like you have attempted the install multiple times. First, I'd recommend running the Print and Scan Doctor, to see if it can resolve any errors in the software without having to re-install. If it does prompt you to re-install your software, I would suggest uninstalling all M201dw software from the Programs section of your control panel. Once that's done, do a cleanboot of your computer. You can find instructions to complete the cleanboot here: How to perform a clean boot in Windows Note: This will turn off all non-essential startup items, so if it's another program on your computer that is causing the installation to lag, it should resolve the install issue. Rather than installing from the download or the CD that came with the printer, I'd suggest downloading and running the HP Printer Install Wizard. Please respond and let me know if this helped to resolve the issue!Good luck

  • HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fn - DNS issue, hundreds of UDP connections affects my router 100% CPU usage

    Hi all,
We've bought about ten pieces (HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fn), tested only one the other 9 are waiting for their time to be sent in our branch offices. The MFP works fine, no complains till later that day I noticed that our Mikrotik Router was struguling with high CPU usage, it took me some time to find the issue and it was the new bought MFP. Don't know why but it creates hundreds of UDP connections and almost 100% CPU usage goes to DNS service. As soon as I shutdown the MFP and delete all the connections everything goes back to normal. I've disabled almost all services (HP web service, Ipv6, SNMP, AirPrint, SLP, LPD, WS-Discovery, Bonjour), leaving only Ipv4 but without luck the issue persists. Here are some print screens confirming my saying:

  • New HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fw network connection impacts DNS server of my ISP

    Hi,
i am not well with english, so please sorry
I have deliverd new HP LaserJet Pro M127fw to my client who have 3 PC-s Win7 64bit, one 4 port switch, and one TP-link ISDN modem-router.
I have installed the printer over network and everything is done well. Printer is working in printing/scanning/fax/ and copy.
In few hurs local ISP has called and said that his DNS server is impacted by something from local LAN. After investigating, i have fount that printer is doing impact to DNS of ISP. When i remove LAN cable from printer, everything is fine with network
I have installed new frimware from HP.com. also I have change Admin pass. The new up to date software is installed.
Still have problem, and no solution. For now printer is working with USB connection, but that is not a option.
    HP please help!

    Hi @ITMračunari ,
I see that you are having issues with the printer connected by a Ethernet cable to the network, the printer is impacting the DNS of ISP. I would like to help.
Turn the IPv6 off on the printer to see if that will help.
Go to Setup, Network Setup, Network Services, IPv6 and turn it off.
This is a Consumer product and has been proving to work with a direct connection to a router.
I noticed in your post that you are also using a switch, which could possible cause other conflicts.
    Hope this helps.
    Have a nice day!

  • HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fn Network Setup on XP

Got 4 xp and 1 Win 7 machine on a TP link Archer D7.  Trying to install a HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fn to be shared over the network.  On 1 xp machine (an HP) the install program crashed.  Another the printer is not recognized and can't find any way to manually install drivers for that situation.  The xp machines can't find the printer on the network.  I can't find the default path.

Your post is confusing since it does not tell us if the printer is working on any of the machines and also you do not tell us if you just want printing or other functions from each computer.  If you just want printing and you know the ip address of the printer, just use the add printer function on each machine and then the create port and in the drop down choose standard tcp/ip printer and then follow the prompts.  You can download the basic driver from the link below which should work on all the machines when you get to the makers screen and you will just choose have disk and then browse to the location of the downloaded driver.  When you go to the link click on the basic driver tab on the left and then download the 15 meg driver. http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-LaserJet-Pro-MFP-M127-series/5396666/model/5303415#Z7_3054ICK0KGTE30AQO5O3KA30R1

  • LaserJet Pro MFP M127fn - can't get on network

    LaserJet Pro MFP M127fn
Is this printer supposed to be available for wirless printing? I cannot seem to get it on the network.
Under HP webservices on the printer, the only option is print info sheet (which of course doesn't contain and IP address since I'm not on the network).
Under tools, network setup, I can only select automatic or manual for TCP/IP config. And under IP address I can select Yes but doesn't seem to be any other options.
    Any advice?
    Thank you.

    Hi,
The printer does not support wireless connecttivity, it only supports Wired network connectivity (Ethernet) or a USB.
For network connection you wouild need to connect it with a cable.

  • HP Laserjet Pro MFP M127fn - How to turn off T.30 Trace Reports

After every fax received the unit prints a "T.30 Trace" report. Needless to say, this is a big waste of paper. Have gone into the Reports setup and changed the settings accordingly, but am still getting this report after every fax we receive. We are using the unit as a fax machine/copier only, so it's only connected to a phone line and power source. How can I turn off these unwanted reports? Thanks for any assistance you can give.

    Hi @mrinn ,
I see that you are having issues with the T.30 Trace Reports printing, you have already turned off the setting and the printer is still printing them off. I would like to help you out with this issue today.
Just double check the setting, to make sure it is still turned off.
Go to Setup, Service, T.30 Trace.
You could update the printer's firmware, but the printer would have to be setup on a computer to do this.
HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fn Drivers.
Select your operating system, click next, click the link for firmware.
I can send you a reset for the printer in a private message. But it will set the printer back to factory settings and clear out the phone book. In the forum beside your handle name just click on the envelope to view it.
If you need further assistance, just let me know.

  • HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fn

    Hi
we bought recently HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fn.
it prints ok from administrator account.
but from any other user it prints jpg, pdf
    but doesn't print word document.
any idea how to solve the issue.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Try the following steps and check if that may help:
From the Administrator account, open the Control Panel and then click on View devices and printers.
Right click the printer icon and select Printer Properties.
    Open the Security tab.
Ensure that "All Application Packages" is listed under the Group or user names column, ensure that it is only set with Allow for Print and Manage Document.
If such an option is missing click on Add and add the "All Application Packages" group, then modify its permissions accordingly.
Either set for Everyone or add the spscific user account, ensure that Print and Manage Documens is set as Allow and not set for Deny by any chance.
Now try printing from the other user, if the same persists I would also suggest setting the Manage this Printer option as Allow..
Additionally ensure that there is no any Deny setting for any of the options.
If these doesn't help I would suggest contacting Microsoft as the issue may be related with Word or with the user profile, as the driver is fully funtional but something blocks it within the Non-Administrators account.

we need the appropriate driver for aix to be able to configure the printer on the server.
any suggestion or work arroud is verry help full.
    Thank u in advance.

Hello , the supplies message usually indicates a low toner capacity.  The following information shows how to adjust the low setting and please keep in mind that once the cartridge is truely out a reduction in print qualitty will be seen on all printed pages.  The toner cartridge (s) will need to be replaced.  On the printers control panel press the wrench icon (setup)-select sustem setup-select supply settings- black cartridge- very low setting- continue.  This will override the low message and allow printing.  The long term resolution is to replace the cartridge.
