My bridge is asking me to purge cache to fix an error which I am doing and it is freezing on me.. what should I do now?
When I open Bridge it comes up with an error saying:
Bridge encountered a problem and is unable to read the cache. Please try purging the central cache in the cache preferences to correct the situation
I have tried to purge it but it freezes, also how do I stop this happening again?

I have been reading this post with great interest and have had exactly the same problem with Bridge CS4, when I downloaded from adobe the photography plan, which includes, Bridge CC and PS CC which I wanted to upgrade to. I downloaded as exactly what adobe said. All was well until I tried to open Bridge CC and got a message not compatible. Ended up downloading Mavericks OS and it worked with that. Managed to use Bridge CC for two days until I tried to download photos from my camera when my MAC Book Pro lost power due to battery problem. Just out of interest I will say while Bridge CC was not working Bridge CS4 did work. Bit strange I thought. Anyway having seen your thread I thought I had nothing to loose.
So thanks Mize I would like to thank you for solving my problem with this suggestion of new cache folder and hey presto ! it works with Bridge CC

Hold down the Option key as you launch Bridge, keep it down until you see a dialog box, then click all three options in the re-set box that comes up.
If you don't see that re-set box, you're doing it wrong, i.e., you're not holding the Option key down fast enough. -

Adobe Bridge is barely working after my recent upgrade to Yosemite (my computer is an imac that is less than one year old, and is working perfectly in non-Adobe programs). It never ever acted up for me, not even once, before. I use it frequently as I am a graphic designer. Previous to Yosemite I had NEVER gotten the purge cache message, and it never took longer than a few seconds to open folders with large amounts of raw photos. Now it has seriously effected my workflow, and I am considering just giving up on cc and reverting to cs5 which I still have on disk. I'm not going to pay the monthly fee if I can't use Bridge properly.
It frequently asks me to purge my cache, and also takes over 2 minutes to load a folder. I have the cache set to 500,000, and have tried all of the recommended settings and the problem persists. I just uninstalled and reinstalled bridge cc, and the first thing that popped up when I opened Bridge freshly after being reinstalled.... Was an message to purge my cache. This is really unexpected. Do you know what is going on??
Also, after Yosemite, Photoshop opens about every third photo as a mosaic of chopped up image parts and bright pink pixelated squares, then locks up so I have to quit out of it and reload photoshop.I said that I had got back my Bridge today. It lasted 5 hours before it again crashed for the same reason with the cache problem. So it was only a temporary solution. I have maximum capacity in my Bridge cache. Every time I press the OK button after getting the message " Bridge encountered a problem and is unable to read the cache. Please try purging the central cache in the Cache Preferences to correct the situation", Bridge freezes.
Any other thoughts to remedy this please. -

You can purge the cache within Bridge in the edit/preferences/cache window. Here is also where you set where you want the cache to be. But if you are going to re-install what is the point, it starts from 0 anyways. -
I'm on a Mac OS X 10.6.8 Have just upgraded Firefox from v35 to v36.
Every few minutes I get a message "Do you want the application 'Firefox.app' to accept incoming network connections?" It's never done that before, so why now (v36) and what should I say?
The message goes on, "Clicking Deny may limit the application's behavior. This setting can be changed in the Firewall panel of security preferences." The other option button is Allow.
The computer has always had Firewall switched on. Is Firefox suggesting I now switch Firewall off? What has changed since v35? Has Mozilla offered any information about this?

My Apple ID was changed. It works fine on my IPad mini, my MAc and in Itunes Store, Yet when I try to update apps on my IPAD 1 I am asked to enter a password for the old ID user name which appears in the pop up window. When It still askes for the wrong ID data. I have uodated it in settings, and I have logged ontht the account to verify that it still works properly and it does. I reboot the IPAD and then attempt to update apps again but it still asked for the Old ID password and still shows the old ID username. The dame thing refuses to recognize my new Apple ID data. This is making my older IPAD unuseable.
You cannot change your Apple ID. You can get a new one if you want, but all of your Apps and media are linked to yoru old Apple ID. And no, Apple won't transfer your old ID purchases to yoru new ID.

When i tried to download a new App, i was asked for some extra security questions. i dont remember filling out any of these questions or the answers.
How can i find out what i put down if anything at all.?Go to item 12 in the AppleID FAQ for help with a disabled account.

I recently changed my email address for the Apple Id and it was accepted but now when the App store comes up it still shows my old email address and no password will work. iCloud and Facetime are fine. Don't know why it stays there or how to alter it.

Do what the picture is trying to tell you to do: connect your iPhone to the computer you normally use to sync, and restore the iPhone from iTunes on that computer.

The person who sold you the device can remove the ID without giving it to you. Follow the steos in "What to do if you no longer have the device." In the artcle below. If you can't find the person or they won't do it you're stuck with a unusable device.
