My brother forgot his passcode then his ipod disabled after trying the max amount of times. How do I fix it for him?
I need to know how to fix my brothers ipod touch 3. he used the max amount of times putting in the passcode and it disabled his ipod.
Start it in DFU mode, connect it to your compter and restore it using iTunes

Desperate CygurdI've actually managed to fix this by unplugging the speakers and turning up the volume for the internal speaker. I found this solution on the following link.

Correction: Thank you FoxFifth for the good information. I did find this information earlier before landing here in the support community. I have come to the end and I am uncertain about trying to reset my I-pod touch to the factory settings. I was satisfied with the older version of i-tunes. Can someone direct me how to downgrade i-tunes perhaps?

Forgotten Restrictions Passcode Help

Was the computer used to jailbreak a different iOS device? Are you trying to forcibly install a version of iOS other than the current version for your device? (4.2.1 for the 3G, 6.0.1 for the 4 and 4S, 6.0.2 for the 5).
Those are the only other reasons you would get that error other than an extremely rare hardware failure.
