Steps you know to do:
*Put the iPod touch 5/4 into Recovery Mode or DFU Mode for 10 seconds by holding Power and Home button.
*If you want to perform Recovery Mode, keep holding Power and Home Button for 30 seconds and let it go.
*If you want to perform DFU Mode, let it go from power button and keep holding home button until iTunes logo appears.
*When you're inside Recovery or DFU Mode, click OK.
*To erase and unlock by removing the passcode, you need to restore. Click Restore iPod to continue.
*Click Restore and let iTunes verify the restore to stock version.
*Once is completed, done and ready to go.
If the problem still continues, go to the Premium or Authorized Apple Reseller to make an service for iPod touch or make an appointment for Genius Bar about iPod hardware and repairs.

What happens when you try?
If the song is an older purchase (from more than a few years ago), it may have DRM (copy protection). You can check by selecting the song on a list in iTunes, and doing a Get Info (right click - Get Into). On the Info window Summary tab, if Kind is Protected AAC audio file, it has DRM. Also note what it says there for Apple ID. You need to authorize the computer you use with the iPod to play content purchased with that Apple ID.
From the iTunes menu bar, under Store, select Authorize This Computer. Enter the Apple ID (and password) used to purchase the song. One computer can be authorize for multiple Apple IDs.
NOTE: More recent iTunes Store song purchases do not use DRM, although other type of media (such as TV shows and movies) still do.

I have apps that my brother put on and apps that i put on
When the apps need updating, the ones he installed need his id and, vice versa
what I've done so far is, i delete the app and reinstall with my id
I've never wanted to put the pod back to 'new' because there is to much music that i like on it

Try doing a full reset. otherwise it sounds like you might want to walk it into the nearest Apple Store and get an opinion there.

If you set up the Find My iPod service prior to the iPod going missing, then there is a chance that can be tracked, though it depends on a number of factors: the iPod is turned on, connected to a WiFi network, and has not had the Find My iPod service disabled. My brother used his Verizon Wireless SIM to activate my factory unlocked iphone 5s. Now, I can't access the cellular data network option to change APN settings for my new carrier. Already tried configuration utility and factory resets.

So as the title says, after I got my iPhone 5s from apple, factory unlocked, my brother used his sim card in it for a moment to allow it to be registered and usable on WIFI until I made it to Japan. Now that I have a data SIM card, I have to input specific APN settings, which are located in settings>cellular>cellular data network, however, cellular data network is not available as an option. I have reset the phone multiple times with and without backups and with and without the new sim in the phone. I have also used the configuration utility to try to put the APN settings in the phone. I contacted Apple and they didn't really have an answer as to what i should do. My brother checked his Verizon account and my phone does not show up as one of his devices, so right now I'm stuck with and incredibly expensive iPod. Does anyone have any idea what I can do to remedy this? I am unable to contact Verizon via telephone myself as I have no phone service. Any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated.

You only have to clone your mac when using certain cable modem. You don't clone your mac when using dsl.

My little bro cracked his iPod Touch 4G screen when he dropped it on the driveway. It's still under warranty though I understand they will not cover this under manufacturers warranty. Does anyone know if we can get a free repair exception from an Apple rep? What is the best way to go about doing that? Or a cheaper repair than normal? Any help is appreciated. He bought the iPod with his own cash and is pretty bummed out

If the FindMyiPod feature was already turned on and wifi an and connected go to iCloud, sign in and go to FIndmyiPhone.
Otherwise you will have to find it the old fashioned way.
Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to school and police.
