I have tried removing firefox and reinstalling but the problem persists.
How are you being told you need to upgrade to latest version?
Is your homepage still the old Firefox start page hosted by Google as in say http://www.google.com/firefox ? as Google has not maintained this page ever since Firefox 4.0 which has since switched to using '''about:home'''. The old Google page has the "You're not on the latest version of Firefox. Upgrade today to get the best of the Web!".

Ok, Here is the problem I am having either with Google Chrome or Internet Explorer running in Safe Mode or Normal Mode.
1. I have Flash Player 13.0 installed.
2. whenever I go to a site, lets say Microsoft for example, and click on a download link I keep getting a message stating that Flash
Player needs to be upgrade from Version 12.0
3. I click on the "X" to close the dialogue Window and it automatically download a file called "install_flashplayer_12_x32_64_msaa_aax_latest.exe"
4. After the file is downloaded I scan it with McAfee or Malwarebytes and the results are either a Trojan or Spyware file so I quarantine the file without running it.
5. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Chrome and Internet Explorer and everything works ok for a while then it starts up again.
6. Guess what I am asking is the file " install_flashplayer_12_x32_64_msaa_aax_latest.exe " a legitimate Adobe File.How are you being told you need to upgrade to latest version?

Since I have Yosemite on my iMac I can't view PDF files in Safari anymore. It keeps telling me to upgrade my Adobe Reader, but it is the latest version. Please help? I don't have this problem on my Macbook that does not have Yosemite installed.
Back up all data before making any changes. Please take each of the following steps until the problem is resolved.
Step 1
If Adobe Reader or Acrobat is installed, and the problem is just that you can't print or save PDF's displayed in Safari, you may be able to do so by moving the cursor to the the bottom edge of the page, somewhere near the middle. A black toolbar should appear under the cursor. Click the printer or disk icon.
Step 2
There should be a setting in its preferences of the Adobe application such as Display PDF in Browser. I don't use those applications myself, so I can't be more precise. Deselect that setting, if it's selected.
Step 3
If you get a message such as ""Adobe Reader blocked for this website," then from the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
and check the box marked
Allow Plug-ins
Then click
Manage Website Settings...
and make any required changes to the security settings for the Adobe PDF plugin.
Step 4
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:

In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens by pressing command-V, then press return.
From the folder that opens, move to the Trash any items that have "Adobe" or “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari.
Step 5
The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it, if it's present. The same goes for a plugin called "iGetter," and perhaps others—I don't have a complete list. Don't remove Silverlight if you use the "Netflix" video-streaming service.
Step 6
Do as in Step 4 with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari. -
there’s a glitch somewhere. iphoto just wont open. upgraded to yosemite and downloaded iPhoto upgrader and it doesn’t work, just keeps telling me to upgrade when I did already or quit, so no way to do photos on this brand new mac. that’s a pity!!
You need to have iPhoto 11 v9.6 (which you can get from the App Store) to use iPhoto on Yosemite. If you already have iPhoto 11 then the update is free. Otherwise it's a purchase.

I have had to replace a faulty hard-drive on my imac. Some applications (incl iphoto) are telling me that my OSX (10.82?) isnt recent enough to use the application. I need 10.9. I have upgraded to Maverick but this remains the case. Any help?

You should have no need to use the Old Sync account.
As long as device or devices are Firefox 29 or later (They should all be Firefox 30 now) you should use the New Sync.
You may use the same email address with both accounts. -

Keep trying to access my Hulu plus Account and it keeps telling me it's not available. It did that yesterday and then the login screen appeared (not sure how it happened) I logged in and it worked. Now today, same unavailable message comes up. Help !!!
Try a Hard Reset.....
Press and hold the Wake / Sleep button AND the Home button at the same time, keep them both pressed until the Apple Logo appears on the screen, it can take 10 or more seconds. Ignore the swipe to turn off message. -
I bought an album and all the songs play except for the first one. It keeps telling me to authorize my computer to play this song. None of the above helped me. Is there any other solution?

When I upgraded to IOS5, my playlists no longer appear on the iPOD. When I do a Sync, the playlists appear, but will not sync to the iPOD. Any suggestions on how to resolve??
I would understand it if you checked email on your Mac, and then those messages were not available on your iOS devices if you had the advanced account setting "remove copy from server after retrieving message:" set to immediately.
I looked through my iPhone settings and don't even see an option to tell my phone to pull the only copy of a message and delete it from the server.
Possibly there is another setting in Lion (I am running Snow Leopard still) that tells your Mac to only synchronize mail to your iOs devices and is not pulling mail directly from iCloud.
You could try disabling your current iCloud email account in Mac Mail, and adding a new one and just telling Mail it is a standard IMAP account (imap.mail.me.com incoming and smtp.mail.me.com outgoing).
I did that for Leopard to get my email even to work after MobileMe is cancelled and it seems to work fine with my iPhone.
If that doesn't work, you can delete that new email account and re-enable the temporarily disabled iCloud email account from above.

Essentially, the CMS we use to manage our website (mainstreetartsfest.org) is Sitefinity, and apparently it doesn't support the newest version of Firefox. And, from what I understand, this version of Sitefinity is not being upgraded at the support level - we are now being asked to spend $$ on moving to a new CMS to support the browsers. Chrome, Safari also a problem. Only IE works, and we all have Macs. I want to know if we can have the older Firefox AND the upgraded Firefox both on our computers so we can use the new Firefox for general browsing, and resort to the older, 3.2 version for managing the CMS. I know I can download a previous version - but I would rather not replace our new version of Firefox in the process.

CC keeps asking me to update Photoshop to 14.2, but it's already updated
The Creative Cloud app keeps telling me that I have an update for Photoshop CC to 14.2, but I've already installed the update (several times). I confirmed that it's been installed in 'About Photoshop.' Also when I launch Photoshop CC, I keep getting asked to complete my registration even though I've already registered it on this computer. It's fairly annoying. Any idea how to fix this problem? I use a mid-2013 MacBook Air and am running OS X 10.9.1.
I have the same issue. In fact it's been going on for weeks. Originally, both Photoshop CC and Bridge were indicating an available update every day. However, today I got fed up with it and removed all Adobe stuff; Photoshop, Bridge, Lightroom, Creative Cloud, and Adobe Application Manager. I then reinstalled Creative Cloud along with Photoshop and Bridge. Now Bridge seems to be fixed but Photoshop still tells me there is an update available even though it's already on the latest version.
Hey Adobe, how about fixing this issue? It should be trivial to fix which is why it amazes me that it's still happening. If you're not going to support your customer I don't see why your customers should support you.

I am using my ipad on a secure network. I have problems staying connected. It shows I'm connected with full bars but I can't use the internet. I turn the wireless off, reset the network and turned off the ipad, but this problem keeps happening. (Its been going on about 2 weeks) Any ideas?

- Have you reset your iPod:

I have two different 5s's with two different phone numbers but they are both using the same iCloud/apple account. After upgrading to iOS8 when I get a phone call on one phone both phones ring. One phone is for work and one is for private and I don't need both phones to ring from one call. It's bizarre.......is this supposed to be like this? If so where can I turn it off?? And while we are at it iOS8 has installed iBooks on both of my phones and iTunes won't let me uninstall it. I don't need or want iBooks on my phones.

There are two easy fixes to this.
One, you can set up Family Sharing, in which you can have two different iCloud Accounts, yet still share the same apps, music, media etc.
Two, go to Settings and turn-off "Handoff". This can be found under the General page.
