MY BURNED CD'S SONGS DIFFERENT VOLUMES/BASS

I looked around and could not find an answer to this. Why, when I burn a CD with various artists and genera is one song quiet and the next song loud with a bass so bad I have to turn it OFF in my car? This is really annoying. I tried different things to no avail.

*From iTunes Help ...*
◼ When you burn a CD, iTunes automatically adjusts the recording speed to the blank CD’s rating. However, if your blank CD is rated for a slower speed than the maximum speed of your drive, or if you experience problems creating CDs, you may want to change the CD recording speed to match the CD’s rating by choosing an option from the Preferred Speed pop-up menu.
◼ To change the length of the silience between songs, choose an option from the Gap Between Songs pop-up menu.
◼ *To have all the songs on the CD play at the same volume, select Use Sound Check.*
◼ CD players in some vehicles can display information stored on CDs; select Include CD Text to use this option.

  • Different volume levels on songs

    Hi
Just a question on volume levels. My songs all seem to have different volume levels. How do get to play the songs at the same volume level?
    Thanks

You could also right-click your song file or files that need to be louder, and then click on Get Info (right-click menu) then in that window click on the Options Tab, and there is a volume adjusting slider.
Its what I use to raise the volume on my videos.
    Hope I helped.

Copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.

  • Songs play back in different volume levels

Some of my songs play back in different volume levels. How does one make the songs play back in the same volume. I know there's some setting you enable in itunes, but it's always enabled on my system. So why doesn't it work?

I know there's some setting you enable in itunes,
Do you know what this "some setting" is?
In iTunes, go to menu Edit -> Prefs - Playback.
    Tick Soundcheck.
On the iPod, go to Setting Soundcheck and set to On.
    Resync the iPod.
Note that Soundcheck is not foolproof and there may be some variances on the levels between songs.
You can use this application -> MP3Gain
to better analyze and adjust the levels of your songs.

  • Different volumes levels when I record tunes on a CD?

There are different volume levels when I copy tunes from my I-Tunes library. I'm trying to make a Sinatra CD from my I-tunes library and some songs are loud, others I can hardly hear. There must be a way to overcome this problem, but I don't know what it is. Can anyone help?

Repeating a post I made on another thread:
iVolume claims to work with iTunes' Sound Check to play songs at the same volume. The iVolume FAQ says the adjustment will carry over to burned CDs & iPods, too. It will not work on Music Store downloads due to DRM.
I've read people on this forum say it works pretty well. It's US$15.

  • Different Volumes

After using the sound check option on both iPod and iTunes, songs still are in different volumes. Sometimes I get shocked when the next song comes and its freakin' loud! What do i do??

well, have u checked the quality of the song? some songs when you download them are in really poor quality and others from cds are in good quality...or the bitrate i think...or how they have been recorded... if thast the case download it again.
    hope this helps.

I am unable to reinstall Photoshop CS6 (I do have the serial number) on my Macbook Pro 10.9.5 (Mavericks os). and am getting the message "Installation on case-sensitive volumes is not supported.  Please choose a different volume for installation."  I am further told that "Adobe apps cannot be installed on case-sensitive drives, you need to Install the product onto an HFS+ or HFSJ non-case-sensitive drive."
What I don't understand is this:  I originally bought and installed Photoshop CS6 back in March 2013, and it worked fine.  Yesterday my hard drive had to be replaced and my computer person salvaged as much of what was on it as he could, but now I have to reinstall Photoshop.  1) Why did it work before and it's not working now?  2) Is there anything I can do that does not involve reformatting the hard drive?

It means what it says. The "computer person" formatted it wrongly/ unsuitably. it needs to be formatted again.

I am trying to install MasterCollection_CS6_LS16. When I double click the install file I get this error message: We've encountered the following issues. Installation on case-sensitive volumes is not supported. Please choose a different volume for installation. What does that mean? How should I proceed?

    Hey iraravitz,
Could you please let me know what version of OS are working on.
You might receive this error when you attempt to install on a drive with the HFS+ Case Sensitive file system, which is not supported for installation of Adobe Creative Suite 6.
So, please try installing on a drive that has been formatted with a supported file system.
You might refer the KB doc link mentioned below for the same:

Let me know if this helps.

  • How to change default /Users and /Groups to different Volume?

Users are created in /Volumes/<boot>/Users and groups in /Volumes/<boot>/Groups.
We need these to be created on a different volume, eg., /Volumes/External/Users, and /Volumes/External/Groups.
Setup Assistant correctly put user Backups into */Volumes/External/Shared Items/Backups* and also correctly put web services on /Volumes/External/ServiceData -- we want to do the same for Groups and Users.
Groups are the most critical, as the group needs bulk storage. Users we could leave as is if it can't be done.
How can this be configured? We've read File Server Admin, Open Directory Admin, and Advanced Server admin from http://www.apple.com/server/macosx/resources/documentation.html without finding an answer.
    Thanks in advance.

    1. Create new folders on the external volume to hold users and groups, but to prevent confusion name them something other than "Users" and "Groups". /Volumes/External/NetUsers and /Volumes/External/NetGroups would be reasonable choices.
    2. Share both of these folders (in Server Admin -> server name in sidebar -> File Sharing -> Volumes & Browse modes -> select each folder -> click Share near the top right).
    3. Enable both folders for automounting on clients (Server Admin -> server name in sidebar -> File Sharing -> Share Points-> select each folder -> Share Point tab under that -> Enable Automount option) with the default options (Directory: /LDAPv3/127.0.0.1, Protocol: AFP, Use for: User home folders and group folders). Be sure to click Save (not just OK in the dialog).
    4. To migrate users, run Workgroup Manager, and change the home location for the users you want to move (select Accounts in the toolbar -> /LDAPv3/127.0.0.1 from the hidden pop-up menu under that -> User icon tab at the left -> select the user(s) you want to change -> Home tab on the right -> select the NetUsers option from the "Where" list). Then, for each user, run this command on the server: "sudo cp -Rp /Users/username /Volumes/External/NetUsers".
    5. Similarly, move Group folders in WGM (Accounts -> /LDAP... -> Groups icon on left -> select groups to move -> Group Folder tab on right -> NetGroups in the list). Then, for each group, run "sudo cp -Rp /Groups/groupname /Volumes/External/NetGroups".
    6. Test to make sure all is working before deleting the old user and group folders from /Users and /Groups (do NOT delete /Users and /Groups themselves, just the individual folders from under them).

  • ServiceData directory on a different volume

    Hi,
From what I understand, MacOS 10.6 server can store data from services such as mail and web pages on a different volume by default. I recently bought a MacMini Server and my friend said that the server setup assistant should have prompted me to chose a location for the data files but I didn't configure any services to start up.
Now, I'd like to point the services I want to configure to this "ServiceData" directory on the 2nd hard drive in the Macmini. How do you do that? I Googled around a bit and didn't come up with much and I don't see anything obvious in the Server Admin tools.
    Thanks,
    Andy

In Server Admin you can specify where the directories of various items are located.
Note: you will need to create the directories and set the correct owner, group and permissions prior to pointing the service at the directory.
If you do not, you may get errors in the logs and the service may not start.
Also, some items are best left where the OS puts them by default such as the open directory database.

  • Time machine on different Volumes

    Hey there,
maybe it is just me but is it only possible to choose one Volume as a Time machine Backup destination for all the connected users? I used to setup different volumes as a Time Machine backup destination so that every user had his/her own partition to use. So that not one  person would wind up using the whole hdd. Let's say I want to backup 20 people. How do I setup Time Machine in Server app to backup 5 people to Volume 1 let's say and the next 5 to Volume 2 etc. Or even better. Can't I just use mulitple partition as a possible Time Machine backup destination as I used to in SL Server.
    Thanks for the help

    Hi!
I have a similar problem. Everything worked fine in Snow Leopard Server, and the configuration (using several shared TM volumes) survived the Lion Server upgrade. Now, when I want add another TM share, I noticed I couldn't.
Still hoping to find a solution in Lion Server, than 'downgrade' (upgrade) to SL Server 10.6.
I sincerely hope that a Apple product manager reads our concerns.

  • I am not able to burn a purchased song to a CD. Any clues?

I am not able to burn a purchased song to a CD.  I follow the instructions, and it looks like it will start, but it never happens, it ends after about 20 minutes, saying that an unknown error occurred (4000).  Anyone know how to remedy this?

You need to update your Mac OS X to at least 10.6.8.
    Apple menu > Software update.

My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now.  About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

  • Is there a way to set different volumes for Alerts, phone ringing

I would like to be able to set different volumes for Alerts, Phone ringing, and incomming mail.  Is this possible?

No, not at this time. The alerts and phone ringing are all the same. You can provide feedback to Apple if you would like to let them know you would like to see this feature implemented by going to http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

  • Why do some songs have more bass?

I have a track and the bass is over powering...............are the low frequencies just a higher decibel when the cd was recorded?
I have subwoofers in my car and some songs have deeper bass as well............is this just reaching a lower frequency or once again just louder?

    airtas wrote:
What view would I use to see if a song has a lot of LOWS?  The spectrail view?
    Yes, you can use that.
You can also use the Frequency Analysis Window.  It's in Window>Frequency Analysis, or you can just hit Alt+z.
You can also use your ears.  If you aren't hearing the lows in your monitoring situation on the computer where you use Audition but you're hearing the lows on a lot of other systems then your monitors are inadequate.
