My calendar is gone...HELP!!

I thought I was setting my iPad to backup to the Cloud. I must have done something wrong, since the next day I turned the iPad on and the entire calendar was blank. Before I do anything else stupid, I need to know how to recover my calendar. I rarely sync with iTunes, so if I did that (and I don;t want to do it until someone who knows what they are doing tells me to) many things would not be there. But at this point I would take something rather than blank, as my entire business is in that calendar. Can anyone help me?

Have you gone into the calender app and made sure you have selected your buisness calender or something, because when i switched turned off my school calender all those appointments and class times wnet away. if that is not the case then i dont know of any onther option besides resyncing with itunes

Help my IPad calendar has gone completely blank , it still is ok on IPhone but has deleted all my appointments on the pad all by itself!

Close the Calendar app on the Task Bar and re-launch.
    1. Double-click the Home button to reveal Task Bar
    2. Hold the Calendar app down for a second or two until you see the minus sign
    3. Tap the minus sign to close app
    4. Tap area above Task Bar to return to Home screen

  • HOLY &$%#!  He's gonna KILL me ~ Calendar is GONE on iPad2

My husband uses his iPad2 religiously for his calendar.  He uses my account for iTunes, iCloud, etc.  He never wires into my MacBook Pro as there is nothing needing to be synced between the two.  I am seeing now that he also has backup to iCloud turned off.  So....no backup.  That's the background....here's the problem:
To share his calendar with me, I turned 'ON' Mail, Contacts and Calendars sync in the iPad2 iCloud menu.  But, when we went back to iCal, his original calendar was gone, gone, gone!
He has the iPad2 calendar set as purple 'Brett's Calendar.'  I think at some point we made that same color/calendar on the computer/iCloud thinking we'd sync but after an earlier loss of events, he turned iCloud calendars off on the iPad to just do his own thing.
So when I turned iCloud calendars back on on the iPad, did the blank purple Brett just override his iPad instead of a two way sync?  I exposed all available calendars and selected just the purple Brett and still nothing.
I then panicked and turned iCloud calendars back off and selected 'Keep on my iPad'.  Went back to iCal and now the only thing showing up is our shared family Cozi calendar!!!
Good ju-ju to he/she who might be able to help!
(I did look through countless discussions to find answers but didn't find quite the right info so no yelling......)

Forgot to say that I have not tried a reset yet....too scared since the only place the events were ever loaded is the iPad2.

  • My calendar choices gone on my iPad? So, I can not see my iPhone calendar.

I share my iPad and iPhone calendars. My iPhone calendar does not show on my iPad. My iPad calendar has only a choice of Birthdays. My iPhone calendar is on Family. Where have all the layers of calendar choices gone on my iPad?
I.e., iPad has only one calendar choice - birthdays
IPhone has - family, birthdays, events, etc. Lots of choices to view.
I want the two to give me choice of layers of calendar viewing.
    I use iCloud
    Help?

    Hello JChalups,
It sounds like your phone has calendars that your iPad no longer shows. First verify that the same calendars that are on your phone are stored in iCloud by checking the calendar at http://www.icloud.com. I would use the iOS troubleshooting section of the following article on your iPad. If not, then use it on your iPhone instead:

On Lion 10.7.x you need to hold the CMD+r Keys insyead of notting from an Instsall Disc, but try that & step 3 onward...
    "Try Disk Utility
       1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
       2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.
       3. Click the First Aid tab.
       4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
       5. Select your Mac OS X volume.
       6. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

so after I updated the system to OS X Mavericks, most of my my entries in my calendar are gone.
I linked it to my iCloud account and gmail accounts? maybe thats why? but I lost lots of really important info...

You can try restoring your Calendar entries from Time Machine:
    - Turn off wi-fi.
    - Start Calendar.
    - File > Export > Calendar Archive... (just in case)
    - Quit Calendar.
    - Option-Go > Library .
    - Enter Time Machine.
    - Select a date.
    - Restore Calendar .
    - Start Calendar.
    - File > Export > Calendar Archive... (to a new name)
    - Turn on wi-fi.

I was struggling with this since my latest Itunes update.  Fiirst it would not recognize my IPad as a device, after correcting that, it would list the Ipad in my device but my Sync had no options (summry, info, etc). and it kept saying it was "Accessing Itunes store".  reading your question I suddently tried deleting the itunes task (alt-ctrl, delete, processes) and delete Itunes.  (By the way, I had rebooted my computer several times over the last few days).  I opened up Itunes, and voila. Device is there. No "accessing windows" and my sync has the normal options.

I have a new logic board and fce is asking for my serial number from packaging , which has long gone- help?

Without the serial number your FCE disc is useless and nobody here can help.
Your only chance, if you have the receipt or can prove your purchase is to contact Apple and hope they may be able to help.

  • After update calendar dates gone from previous months

After updating to 5.1.1. on my IPAD, My dates in my calendar are gone.  How can I get my information back?

    Norman,
Did you by any chance figure this out? I am having the same issue right now, with the phone being recognized...but not synching music (or anything else) to the phone. I no longer use my 3g as a phone, but only as an iPod.
Any insight you have will be appreciated.
    Thanks!

  • When i restart/shut down settings get erased- calendar, bookmarks-gone

when i restart or shutdown, my settings get erased and go back to default- blue screen instead of the picture i had as my background; dock preferences are back to default; my bookmarks are gone. my calendar is gone. things my apple used to remember (like certain words I would type often, etc) are all gone. I went through and deleted some stuff but I didn't think I touched anything that had to do with the system. is my hard drive crashing?

Hi Miro, and a warm welcome to the forums!
Could be many things, we should start with this...
    "Try Disk Utility
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc that came with your computer, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    6. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
Then Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it finishes.
The usual reason why updates fail or mess things up, or things don't load/run, is if Permissions are not fixed before & after every update, with a reboot... you may get a partial update when the installer finds it doesn't have Permissions to change one obscure little part of the OS, leaving you with a mix of OS versions.
Some people get away without Repairing Permissions for years, some for only days.
If Permissions are wrong before applying an update, you could get mixed OS versions, if Directory is the slightest messed up, who knows!
If many Permission are repaired, or any Directory errors are found, you may need to re-apply some the latest/biggest updates again, or even do an A&I if you have enough free disk space.

The combo update for Intel-based Macs...
    http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/macosx10411comboupdateintel.html
Repair Permissions after re-install, then reboot again.
If all the above do not resolve the problem, then it's time for an Archive & Install, which gives you a new OS, but can preserve all your files, pics, music, settings, etc., as long as you have plenty of free disk space...

We may need to recreate some plisys too, but report back after doing these things.

  • Where did the iPhone Calendar list function(s) go with iOS7? The Calendar has gone all 'spread sheet' on me and definitely not user friendly. Please advise.

Where did the iPhone Calendar list function(s) go with iOS7?  The Calendar has gone all 'spread sheet' on me. If you select an item (grey dot) from the month display it will open up the 'spread sheet' at the current time of day, not necessarily when the calendar entry takes place.  I liked iOS6 where you could turn your iPhone to landscape mode and get that special 'spread sheet' feel if that's what you're into.  Has a 'List' presentation been removed from the iPhone Calendar with iOS7?

The List view is displayed by tapping the Search magnifying glass.

I just set up icloud on my ipad 1 and all of my appointments from calendar are gone. What happened to them and can I get them back?

Welcome to the Apple Community Diane.
I find that shared video can be troublesome, a few haven't appeared to work as you describe but have done when I've looked at a later date. Hopefully they will work if you give them a bit longer. perhaps it would be a good idea if you make sure they are working before deleting them from the camera roll.
