My Calendar synchronized with my Webmail provider is always remaining Swithched Off (Case: "Switch this calendar on" works but after immediatly becomes Off)

After installing Lightning 3.3 I created a new Calendar (infomaniak).
This Calendar is synchronisaning with my Webmail Provider (www.infomaniak.ch).
Il followed the instructions from my Webmail Provider (user name and password).
When this is created normally I have to received the display to write my User-Name and Password but theese are not asked.
The calendar informaniak es created but is always Switched Off.

Google calendar not showing in Calendar. Sometimes does, sometimes doesn't. I've ticked box 'switch this calendar on'.

I've read the questions and responses about a similar problem happening for other Thunderbird users. This problem seems to have started when Google asked me to sign in after an update. Now Google Calendar will sometimes show in Thunderbird but most of the time it doesn't. I use Google calendar for all my events because that's what's on my phone. I can't seem to pick a reason why it works sometimes and other times not. Any clues? TIA

Usually if you have some kind of hardware failure there is some beeping during POST or most motherboards now have LED indicators to produce and error message based on the type of failure
So if its bad memory, not place properly, mismatched, processor not inserted properly, mismatched voltage or voltage connector not present etc it beeps or generates the error id.
Power supplies can be tested for failure. There are some walk throughs for testing just them with a switch, paperclip or a jumper (I'd suggest not doing this if you are not familiar with the dangers of electricity).
Memory can be tested with memory diagnostics programs like Memtest+
Processors can overheat if the proper precautions have not been taken usually you will get a POST beep or error code for that.
If the motherboard has no response then do the basics first:
Check power connectors and power supply. Once you determine that is not the case move on to other items like graphics cards in all the way or memory.

When I start up my new Imac with my password, it works but after going into sleepmode, I can't go out of the sleep moed with this password

I did the configuration of my new Imac and entered and confirmed my password when asked.
When my computer is switched of, I can startup with this password but after going into sleepmode, this password doesn't work.
The same when I go to "system preferences" users & groups, it's not possible to unlock the lock with this password
I'm sure that I never used another password.

If Apple was the one that replaced the ribbon cable, return it. If not, run AHT (Apple Hardware Test).

Your issues might be caused by a hardware problem. Running Apple Hardware Test can help you solve this problem by showing you the faulty hardware.
Shut down the computer by going to Apple () > Shut Down…
Select Shut Down or allow the computer to shut down automatically.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter into a power source and then connect it to your Mac if you have not already done so.
Press the Power Button to turn on the computer.
Press and hold the D key on the keyboard before the grey starting screen appears.
Continue to hold the D key until the loading screen shows up. You should see a globe.
When AHT has loaded, select your Language and then press the Return (↩) key.
Select the Perform Extended Testing checkbox located under the Test button.
Press the T key, select the Test button, or press the Return (↩) key to start running the diagnostics.
Report any issues it shows in a reply.

BB bold calendar sync with Yahoo mail July 2011- problem remains unresolved for months

Having a problem ,as are many other bb users with sync calendar entries. Syncs contacts/ media but loses connection when sync dates.
I have just started working from home.. this is a huge problem to me and as far as I can see from other forums is a Yahoo software problem which remains unresolved both by bb and yahoo for a number of months.
Problem is bb are going to start losing customers inc myself. If solution is not imminent I am going to switch to iphone when my contract comes up at the end of the summer.
( I would prefer to stay with bb but if they are unable to provide customer support to resolve these issue it leaves me no choice)
P.S I have tried every fix advised with no positive result

If I switch to iCloud, Outlook for Mac is not synchronizing with iCal and iCloud anymore. Is there a solution for this problem?

I normally use Outlook for Mac as the standard email and calendar programm. When I use the USB cable fro synchronising contacts and calendars with my iPhone 4s ther is not problem at all. iCal, Mail and Oulook for Mac are synchronising perfectly.
When I switch to iCloud, Oulook is completely empty and Calendar and Contacts are not synchronised anymore.
Is this a known problem, and is there a solution for it?

I have the same keyboard and do not have battery issues.
It may have something to do with using rechargeable batteries.
You can also try removing the keyboard then re-pairing it. Maybe a bad bluetooth connection is draining the battery.
System Preferences > Bluetooth > right-click (control-click) on the keyboard > Remove > Remove
Wait for it to show in the bluetooth list then Pair > enter the number sequence & return as displyed on the screen.

I would like to calendar share with my boss on I Cal. How can I edit her calendar too?

Once I subcribe to her calendar, can I edit it?

HBO GO suddenly freezing on sign-in with Comcast/Xfinity. Other browsers installed will work, but after a system update Firefox no longer does. Any ideas?

After a routine Windows 7 update, Firefox will not load the HBO GO content when you attempt to sign in. Normally, I do not have to sign in unless I log into the account via my Droid or other PC. I tried it in Google Chrome and works fine on my Droid. Also, now when going to full screen option, Flash opens a new window and have lost the options to control the display ratio and toolbars. Any ideas?

It sounds like we've got a number of *different* problems on this thread. I'll try and respond to a few of them.
@filter 2.5 and everyone else running into a green screen issue. Please try the solution outlined in the post below to see if it will allow you to use hardware acceleration. The other alternative is to try a different ATI driver.

Sometimes video and audio problems are caused at a lower level and not directly related to Flash Player. I recommend trying both of the links below to see how they perform. If the problem exists with both, then Flash Player is most likely not the culprit as the HTML5 video link does not use Flash Player when playing. You can verify the use of HTML5 by right clicking the HTML5 video and looking for the words "About HTML5" at the bottom of the context menu.

@mem2013 - The Flash Player update service will not impact Flash Player's performance. This is a separate service that runs for just an instant on your system once an hour (if you have automatic updates enabled.) Changing it from manual to automatic shouldn't make any difference.

On bbc.co.uk website I am unable to set my local / postcode, although I used to be able to do this and can with other web browsers. Am unsure how to re set this so it works.

I normally use Firefox as my preferred browser, and have bbc.co.uk as one of my home pages. I used to be able to set my location 'portsmouth' on that web page top receive local news. However, I can no longer do that (Ithink i cleared cache and browsing history recently) and since then it cannot set my location.

I am using MAC OSx 10.5.8 (9L31a) as my operation system. The TV says "No signal. Check connected device's power, cable connection and source selection." Seems to me that that goes in hand with what the Samsung tech said about the Mac needing to be forces to use the external display. But how do I do that?

I have just bought the MSI K8N Neo FSR (MS 7030) to build a new computer with (amongst others) an Athlon 64 3000 processor and an Enermax 3051 case.
The CPU fan starts when I switch on the power with the switch on the back of the case, but stops after two seconds. I don't get anything when I push the Start button of the case.
At the beginning I got some feeble orange light on the D-bracket LEDs. Now, there is nothing at all.
I have tried to do a CMOS and also to put the Mobo out of the case after having disconnected the HD, the DVD reader, the floppy disk reader and all the Front panel connectors ===> nothing changed.
The Power capacity of my case is 300 watts. I had computed on Power Supply Wattage Calculator (http://www.jscustompcs.com/power_supply/Power_Supply_Calculator.php?cmd=AMD) that it is quite sufficient for my system.
Other materials on my system: the MSI FX5200-T and a PQI RAM PC 3200 which worked well on a former MSI Mobo (K7N2 Delta). I don't intend to keep this RAM on my new system but I use it to test it, before installing the Corsair Value which are on the system with which I write this post.

Finally, it appears that I had damaged the motherboard and the CPU.
When I installed the CPU, I hesitated because the User's guide said that "the gold arrow should point towards the lever pivot", whereas the illustration and the AMD's one pointed towards the opposite corner. I had finally made the good choice (that of the illustrations), but I have certainly displaced some pins of the processor while hesitating.
The shopper told me that MSI will never agree that its text had troubled me and refused to give me a new motherboard.
I have finally bought an ASUS motherboard and, as I was fed up with the computer building, I paid a technician to do this job.
I would like to mention two other mistakes in the MSI K8N Neo User's guide:
- it devoted one page to the installation of the retention mechanism which was already installed.
- there was no explanation about the mention of two "Power LED" connectors.
I acknowledge that I have been stupid, since I should have asked the question of the direction of the golden arrow in a forum, where I would have found very quckly the right answer to my hesitation.
However, I am revolted that MSI does not acknowledge that a grave mistake and two troubling omissions in the User's Guide can lead novice people to grave failures.
I'll never more have confidence in a company that make such mistakes and does not assume its responsibility.

Can i share a calendar event with another iphone?

My husband and kids and I all have IPhone 4's. Is there any way to "share" calendar events with each other as we do contacts??

You need to create a calendar, that you share.
After creating the calendar, click on the Calendar-Button in the upper right corner of the iCal Window, then select ,"Share" from the drop down menu.
Choose "Share with only people you invite".
Then add your event to this calendar.

Why can't i add events to calendars shared with me?

After i updated my MacBook Pro, i could not add events to the calendars shared with me. When i try to put an event in another calendar, it is not there.. I have the same problem on my iMac.

I was able to fix this problem with the information I found on the link pasted below. (I had two calendars, and the "default" calendar was not set to my iCloud calendar.)

I have a new IPAD4 which has synced pictures i selected but not music or films i selected from itunes library? I have had an account for years and never had issues syncing with iphone or ipod? when i attempt ipad the data shows and it cycles but nothing?

show the data shows whe i selet for sync (i have ticked sync only ticked icon) and selected two playlists - the data usage shows an extra 3.2 gb off my 32g ipad and the movies show up purple on the data usage bar, i press apply / sync it takes 20mins to go through 5 stages - never once do i see a song title or number in the update display. then when it finishes the data usage bar goes back to the lower amount before i tried to add the music and movies to my ipad?? The only thing that i have managed to move if pictures??

when i go through the summary section it says i have selected 757 songs (off two playlists) and i movie (from a digital copy via itunes), they show in usage bar b4 sync but then after sync nothing! i have tried both wi fi sync and normal, i have the lastest updates and CANT FIGURE THIS OUT
When i set up the ipad out the box the other day it asked whether i wanted a NEW INSTALL or RESTORE FROM ICLOUD BACKUP (presumbly off iphone), I choose restore, it then downloaded all the apps and web history/bookmarks etc, although it took about 8 hours to do it which i thought was odd?!
Ive spent £500 on this and if i cant put my msuc or movies on it that makes it a very exspensive web browser, APPLE this should be easier .......! please help - im no techno noob beither grand master, just your average user so im sure people might know what to do... i freakin hope so!

ps when syncing it jumps through steps 1 - 4 real fast, i seem to remeber iphone showing the number of tracks transferring and names, but i see nothing? then it sits on 5 saying "waiting for changes to be applied"
