My calendar wont switch off, it just displays "turning off calendars"

I have been having issues with my calendar. It will not allow me to edit or add anything. I decided to go to iCloud and turn off the calendar, and not I am getting a loading screen saying, "Turning Off Calendars"... What should I do to fix this?

normally it will switch off automatically after a few mins if i dont play songs, but recently it wont switch off and it's using up the battery!

I think this is some type of bug. I have had this problem with my iPod photo and now my 5th gen. iPod.
It's most noticeable after ejecting the iPod from the computer. It takes a short while before you an turn the iPod off. Sometimes it will not turn off when viewing a video. So hit the menu button and start playing a song - then it will probably turn off. It's a bug because the iPod will sense the button press by changing the top porting of the display (toggling time etc..) but it simply won't turn off. I wonder if it's something to do with the hard drive spinning at the moment???
Anyway, try playing a song and try again.

New replacement nano 2nd gen wont switch off!!! help

i recently took my old 4gig green nano to get replaced at apple and they took it off me and three days later i got the replacement(brand new caus my old one was under warranty) and i charged it and then i took it off the computer and then i started to listen to it and then i tried to switch it off, but it didnt (like my old ipod that i gave to apple) and now i want to know why this happenes. my ipod is fine, but just wont switch off sometimes. can someone tell me what to do?

Try resetting it.
How to reset the iPod.
It may take quite a few attempts and is best done connected to power.
This seems to be a fairly common issue.

Ipod nano wont switch off

I have a 4g ipod nano. I went away for a month and left it at home unused, only to find when I got back it now wont switch off when I hold the middle button of the click wheel and stays permantly on. I have tried to restore and reset it, and yes, the hold button is off.

Well first, you're supposed to hold down the "play/pause" button to put the iPod to sleep. Try that and see if it works.
If that doesn't work, press and hold the select and menu button at the same time until the screen goes black/blank. This is a soft reset of your iPod. Your music will be safe.

It may be applicable to isolate the issue further. To do so you may want to restore your iPhone using a computer with iTunes. Please be sure to backup your iPhone first.

i carnt switch my ipod off lol
iv always kept my finger on the splay/pause key but its not working now
my ipod is working fine, i can play music and games etc etc
i just carnt turn it off

USB WD Drive wont switch off when Mac Mini sleeps

Can anyone help. My WD USB drive remains powered when my mac mini sleeps. I have tried "switch off hard drives when possible" in the preferences but still no joy. Any advice?

Unfortunately the inability to sleep is a function of the drive itself. Which model WD drive? If it is a MyBook and you can return it I would suggest that you do so and get something else.

Iphone 4 wont switch off voiceover

after updatind my iphone 4,the voiceover will not switch off. i know the procedure to turn it off but when i toggle the switch to off it goes right back to on. any suggestions?

I understand that VoiceOver is enabled and will not disable through settings. I would try to disable VoiceOver via iTunes.

Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. After it's rebooted you can try switching it off again.

Iphone 4s Clock Alarm wont switch off while in a telephone call

I have a Iphone 4s (5.0.1). If Iam in atelephone conversation and the clock alarm is activated, I cannot switch off the alarm. Terminating the telephone call, does not give me the option to cancel the alarm.
The only option I have is to terminate the telephone call, and power off/on the phone to reset.

My iphone is a joke, was getting 8 hours battery life, now im gettin only 3-4 have restored phone, deleted all apps etc nothing works, also when i try to turn off phone it just automatically restarts. (ios 6.1.4 installed)

This is due to short circuit, causing iPhone to power back ON. This would also explain poor battery life due to the short circuit power drain. Make Genius reservation or set up service and take or send to Apple for resolution under the 1 year Warranty.
