My Caller ID Number: NOt same as my phone number

When i call my parents, I have to call like 4 times in a row, because they keep saying the caller id is not who it says I am.
Comes up with a different areacode and number
Please tell me whats going on?

Have you configured your Caller ID settings? This is not automatically done when you purchase an Online Number. One way to do that is to log into your Skype account using the "Account" link at the top of this page. When you do that, you should see your current Caller ID settings and a link to change them. Then you have some options....
If your Online Number is from a country where it can be used as Caller ID (numbers from the USA and UK are examples of this), you only need to select that number and save it. Then allow a few minutes for Skype's systems to update.
If your Online Number is not from a country where it can be used for Caller ID, you can use a two-step verification process to use a mobile number as your Caller ID when calling from Skype. This is done with two SMS messages sent from Skype to your mobile phone. Mobile numbers from Japan and Mexico cannot be used in this way. Click on "Caller ID" below for more details.

Call Forwarding Number on 3G Not Retained as it was on Original iPhone

On the original iPhone I could turn call forwarding on and off and the number I had set to have calls forwarded to was retained when I turned forwarding back on. With the 3G the number to be forwarded to needs to re-entered each time I turn call forwarding back on.
I called Apple support and also spoke to AT&T support but they were not able to provide any useful information as to why this is or if the feature is not available any longer on the 3G.
Does anyone have any info on this and/or know of a way to have the forward to number "stick"?

I have a new iPhone 3G and I have the exact same question. I used to have a Palm 750 (Mobile 6), and it had that feature, but on my new 3G, I have to reenter the call forward number every time, unless I am missing sometime. Seems ridiculous. It should maintain a list of at least 3-5 recently call forwarded numbers, as most persons would only have a select few numbers that they would ever call forward. Also, my Palm 750 had a special icon on the face page showing that I had the call forwarding feature turned on. That was a nice reminder, if I left that building and forgot to un-forward my calls.

I have read the thread about turning off dialpad sounds when calling a number. I used to always be able to do this on my 4S but not so since the latest software on the 5. Keyboard clicks are turned off and still have dialpad sound. I've NEVER had to mute.

I really do not think it is the iPad or your network connection. Other users have reported this very same issue. Try this and see if it works for you - it may not work - but it's easy to try - harmless - and it has worked in the past for others.
Try signing out of your account and restart your iPad.
Go to Settings>Store>Apple ID and tap the ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. Go back to Settings>Store> Apple ID and sign in again.

Hi Ersin,
Exception 1 would seem to be FORMATTING_ERROR, which suggests something in the design of the Smartform. However, that doesn't fit with the form being generated from a report, but only erroring when called from a function module. I can think of no reason why the different calling method would be a factor.
When FORMATTING_ERROR is raise it should also set a message ID and number, are you able to determine what they are?

Call Forwarding Number Not Working

Hi I have just purchased a skype phone number in Australia for 3 months and have redirected my calls to a number in the Philippines whilst I am on holidays. When I ring this number (Australia Skype number) it isnt being diverted to my Philippine phone number. I have added the number and whenever I return to tab the details for Call Forwarding are being erased. Advice appreciated as I am not receiving calls on mobile.

I am also facing this same problem of Call forwarding no. not working , I am having a Hong Kong Phone skype no. and have diverted to my India no. however when some body calls me on my HK no. the no. is not connected. Why did I get an email from the fraud dept saying my order is on hold, told to call a number, and then told by dept it's not true?

I placed an order to upgrade my phone yesterday, and the order went through, I was told the new phone would arrive Thursday. After I got home from work today I saw an email from Verizon that says "Dear Customer:
Verizon Fraud Prevention Team is currently reviewing the following order on your wireless account. Please call the Verizon Fraud Prevention Team at 888-483-7200 option 3, press 1 to verify this Order."
I called this number immediately, since I need this phone ASAP, assuming it would just be a recording and I would have to verify an account number or something. But instead, after following the instructions, I was put on hold because I needed to speak to someone in person. After several instances of my call being cut off after being on hold for at least half an hour, I finally got through after three hours and was able to speak to a fraud representative. I gave her my info and told her the problem and she told me I had called the wrong department. Instead of the fraud department, I needed the online order department. She transferred me, and I waited on hold again. When the representative from the online order dept picked up, she first told me if it was a fraud issue I'd need to speak with the fraud dept - who had JUST transferred me to her. After this, she said that my order is not on hold, because it hasn't even been processed yet or had the credit check done. When I asked if this meant I hadn't needed to call at all, she said yes. Is this actually true or is there a chance that there's an issue with my order I don't know about? If there is no issue, these emails really shouldn't be sent out, they're incredibly misleading, and I've wasted a whole lot of time and experienced an incredible amount of anxiety for no reason.

Lync 2013 not hear ring back in mobile when call by number

I have setup a Lync server 2013 standard Front end on windows server 2012 R2 and also installed update for Mobility service and enabled it. It seems everything works perfect but...
When I call by number in android phones and iphones, I do not hear ring back tone, although call is proceeded and if the calling person answer the call, everything will be fine. The strange thing is that if I call by name I hear ring back
tone.
This problem does not exist while using windows phone or desktop client.

Early media refers to media (e.g., audio and video) that is exchanged before a particular session is accepted by the called user.
If the remote party does not generate it, then you will not hear it. As stated by Holger, the logs will have this information. Without the logs it is not possible to identify where the problem is. Your app might have received it and not played it or it was
never send.

Call a number of servlets with the same session

Hi,
for a purpose of performance testing I need to write a servlet that will call a number of servlets in a existing web application.
It will measure a average execution time of each servlet. The sequence of servlet names and arguments is stored in a xml file, which is accessed by the testing servlet.
For example:

So having a servlet name and parameter I do as follows:

This way I can measure time of servlet execution and moreover I can store the result of execution in StringBuffer.
The problem is that each time I call the Dispatcher this way I get a different sessionId - so that objects stored in the session object by previous servlet cannot be accessed by the following one.
I tried calling the Dispatcher using an other RequestDispatcher, like this:
+RequestDispatcher rd = getServletContext().getRequestDispatcher("/xml/Dispatcher"+ servletParams +"&command="+ servletName);But this throws java.lang.IllegalStateException: Cannot forward after response has been committed.
So the question is: How can I call various servlets, provide request parameters and keep the same sessionId for each call? And BTW sorry for such a long post, but I wanted to explain the problem is details, because it might be that you will provide a completely different solution.

Hi guys,
It`s already 1 week since I bought credit and I asked for the call identification number.
I have tried several times but without any success or error message.
It`s very important to have this number otherwise my friends will not answer to my `private or 0000011` phone number.

Skype can't use a Japanese number as Caller ID. Online Numbers from a few countries (Chile, Denmark, Estonia, Hong Kong, Poland, Sweden, the UK and the US) can be used as Caller ID, and Japan is one of the two countries (the other is Mexico) where a mobile number can't be used as Caller ID when calling from Skype.

I solved it myself, after the "note" which came back from FF/Mozilla just as I finished my message, commenting on what it was that my system had , I wnnt back to check my plug-ins etc. I downloaded the latest Java, BOTH 32bit AND 64 bit versions and latest Firefox.
Now all is working.
