What happens when you click on iPhoto? Does it bounce in the Dock? Do nothing at all? What version of iPhoto are you running?
Assuming you're running iPhoto 11 make a temporary, duplicate copy of the library and try the three fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your Home/Library/Preferences folder.
delete iPhoto's cache files that are located in your Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding the the Option key. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
Fix #2
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library.
Select options #1, #2 and #6.
Fix #3
Rebuild the library using iPhoto Library Manager as follows:
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

My applications will not open, how can I fix this. I recently bought a new lap top download iTunes and have been using it now, any suggestions?

My iPhone 4 will not open my purchased apps, anyone know what is going on? I just recently bought a new laptop and downloaded iTunes onto and synced my phone. I was also talking on my phone and it died, then I charged it and that is when the apps would no longer open. My mail, and iPod and safari work just not the purchased apps, if anyone know please write back!:)

If you use menu File>Open As and in the open dialog use the type pulldown select camera raw then select a jpeg image when ACR opens do you see 8.7.1 in ACR window frame ?
The Canon support ACR EOS not EOC right. What version of Photoshop are you using only CS6, CC and CC2014 can use ACR 8.7.1.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Enter the name of the crashed application or process in the Filter text field. Select the messages from the time of the last crash, if any. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.

In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.)

My adobe cloud will not open, how do I fix this?

I have tied to repair, uninstall and reinstall. The most I have gotten is the window for the cloud to open showing the program is there but it does not open at all.
How do I fix this on windows 7?

no the Adobe cloud window opens..the links for the programs dont work on the Cloud screen. Its never happened before. I did find the program and after uninstalling and reinstalling it will come up in programs. But why it crashed fist of all and then why I had nothing at first, then the cloud window, then the program would go no further. All the other links work on my desktop. Just not the Adobe.

You're ignoring context. On the old Apple Discussion Groups I never posted replies like that, instead giving people relatively detailed answers. The new Apple Support Communities made things worse by introducing certain inefficiencies. Then came Lion. The flood of messages that came with Lion required a painful choice for any of the people who had been helping here: (1) Give quality responses to a few questions and ignore the rest. People who needed help with Lion problems seemed to have trouble discovering existing message threads that described how to solve their problems. The people helping here are all volunteers. None of them is being paid for the time they spend here. They all have a life outside of Apple Support Communities. It's arrogant of you to demand that people helping here spend more time than they already do.
