Warranty is only valid in country of original purchase(except for the EU where warranty is EU wide). However, if you purchased your phone in the US, you can't mail it to Apple...Apple does not accept International shipments. You'll either have to physically return it or mail it to someone who can take it to an Apple store for you.

Apologies if this is not the correct way to get in on a conversation but I cannot find a way to start a question.
I have a similar problem when I try to take a picture by tapping the screen and it appears the picture has been taken but the phone goes back to the home screen. When I check the camera roll the picture is sometimes there but appears to be blank at the bottom so you can only see a partial picture. I have tried a soft reset. I do not think it's hardware as smart shoot works. This problem only occurs on the back facing camera. The front camera shoots pictures by touching the screen and saving in full. This started happening on the 16 July after I saw a message saying my update was successful even though I didn't update.....
Just noticed when I copy/paste to my PC, the numbnail shows the picture in full but when opened in full it show only the top part..... Really confused! Hopefully the attached file will show what I mean when opened not viewed as a thumbnail...
Any ideas apart from hard reset..? Thanks in advance.

Other users have had the same problem and it could be a hardware problem. Try in order:
- Resetting your iPod:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore your iPod from backup via iTunes
- Restore your iPod to factory defaults/new iPod
- If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since you likely have a hardware problem..

This is usually due to a faulty camera module. You can try pressing down around the camera lens area to try and seat the camera module. If that doesn't work the camera module would need to be replaced. Usually, if you're not good at small electronics repair this may cost more than the device is worth. If the device is less than a year old you should contact your carrier for warranty replacement.

Iphone 5 camera not opening

After opening the camera app on my iPhone, it seems to freeze and does not show anything. Anyone experianced this or dealt with this problem?

If anyone else has tried all the fixes above and it still doesn't open, I took my phone to Apple yesterday and they replaced it.
The Genius took it to the back and opened it up, my camera was broken/fried somehow. I've never dropped the phone and take care of it.
No big deal though, was replaced quickly.

IPad camera not opening

My ipad camera keeps on failing. Closing it off does not work. Sometimes rebooting will work but only after multiple times. Wiping it fixes it but comes back. What is wrong with this glitchy software. It works on FaceTime. Not on anything camera related. Work is making me also get an IPhone, so I lose my Andorid wher the phone scanner works all the time. I need a fix Apple.

Try this:
1. Close all inactive apps. Double-click the Home button and hold apps in the Task Bar down until they all wiggle then tap the minus sign to close apps. Tap the home button to return to Home screen.
2. Hold the Sleep/Wake and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo.

I cant open my iphone 3g after updating its ios. i try to restore my device but it always encounter unknown error that's why it cam back to the point when i open my phone i always see the itunes icons and usb device icons. and it already stock there.

Camera not working for macbook air

It's a macbook air A1370, iOS 10.8.3. The build-in camera is not working. Both Facetime and photobooth show that the camera is not connected. I checked the system info, under the usb session, the build-in camera is there. I followed some posts and reset the SMC, not helping.
What should I do?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

When the System Information window opens, click on "USB" under "Hardware" in the sidebar. Then look in the USB Device Tree window pane that opens when you select "USB". Click ALL right-facing triangles ( ▶) so they point down (▼) and reveal all individual items.
If your camera is nowhere in the USB Device Tree window pane, your Mac does NOT recognize the cam.
Resetting the SMC using the instructions for your specific Mac model may restore camera function.

Elements Import Option Greyed Out-Camera not available ?

Posted on the Premier forum as well but this is just about photos not videos.
When I plug my camera in, its a Panny TZ25 in this instance, Aperture opens on my Mac and I can see the photos on the camera, Lightroom does the same if I open it but my trial version of Elements 12 doesn't see the camera, the import option is greyed, but if I select "open" I can open the remote disc icon and view the folders on my camera. I assume there is a problem with a twain plugin of some kind ? I would have thought 12 would have had the camera in its list by default. It did in LR as I mentioned.
Any advice appreciated

You know how it is that you wonder if something is broken rather than just being the way it is. I'm used to CS5 where the main way of importing from a camera is via the ... import... option. So thanks for confirming the best way of importing in Elements. I'm not going mad.
I'm new to Macs so learning the differences between MS file structure and the very different Mac way of doing things.
I like Elements so I will keep practising

HT201401 Camera lens on iPhone 4 does not open and nothing is visible, although the camera functions normally via MMS only.

The virtual camera lens on my iPhone 4 stays closed when accessing the camera via the camera application. If I use the camera via the MMS messaging feature the camera will operate properly and save any picture to the camera roll.
So, there does not seem to be a hardware problem. The camera works fine except when I use the camera application itself.
I've reset the phone and performed a restore via iTunes, the camera will usually operate normally for a short period and then revert to a state where the camera lens will not open unless accessed by a third party app or via the MMS application.
I deleted any third party applications from the phone just in case there was a conflict, this did not help, the lens remains closed unless accessed by the messaging application or any other third party application.
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated as this is a very frustrating problem.

Since Reset is not helping, Restore iPhone with iTunes on computer. If this does not fix problem, consider replacing camera or entire iPhone.

Today it will not open. I just get a dark blue screen. The photo library works fine.
