I just got a new iphone, and everythings being put back on to the iphone, but my carrier isnt showing up. Therefore I can't send any texts please help!

Having trouble getting audiobooks to show up in new iphone although shows up in iTunes as if on device

Got new iphone 4GS and am trying to transfer audiobook wma format. Transfer from Overview app on Windows desktop to iTunes to device. Works fine on 3GS iphone but not new phone. Anyone know how to fix??? Strange thing is audiobooks show up in the iTunes showing as if on device. No where to find on device. Using latest iTunes version and Windows 7. Overview app is from library app to tranfer audiobooks to device.

Hi Asley... I completely understand your frustration as I was having exactly the same problem!! But here some tips to try to help you... they worked for me:
1. Disable your anti virus and/ or firewall.
2.Reset your ipode. (press play/pause and the centre together for 6 seconds
3. Update and restore your ipod using the updater. (I advise you to download the latest version of the updater from the apple site)
4. Make sure that the USB port you are using is a good one. It might help if you change the usb port just in case.
open your i-tunes and then plug in your ipod. Sometimes it can take a few seconds.

When trying to sync iPhone 6 with existing library, iTunes shows "Welcome to new iPhone" screen

I have previously accepted defeat and synced with an older backup in order to save some previously saved stuff, but this didn't help the next time I tried to sync it. I don't want to sync as new iPhone to erase everything I have on it now, but not being able to sync with iTunes doesn't let me have any of my store music on it. Any tips on how to get iTunes to recognize my phone and let it sync without re-booting the entire phone?

007maha: from my experience, involving three hours of troubleshooting using Apple's tutorials, without help from Apple:
1. Do the steps here to remove and reinstall all Apple software on your machine, "Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP," at http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925.
2. If you care, they don't tell you or ask you to uninstall MobileMe in those steps.
3. After I did as they wrote to do, iTunes wouldn't recognize either my iPhone or iPad. On my own I found that Applie's software reinstallation failed to install the Apple Mobile Device Software Driver. So I followed the steps at, "iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows," which took me 25 minutes alone to find. See http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538
Those steps solved everything and iTunes is now back to normal.

I need to find out how to get my older purchases from my account made on another computer to show on my new computer. Very frustrated, please help.

no, b/c when i plugged it in to the new computer and started buying new music all of the old songs just cleared out of the ipod. I don't know why that happened but I can see the songs I bought in my purchase history, I just cannot play them or put the in my music library.

My old messages do not show on my new iphone 6.

I am able to send new messages and they show in the log but none of my old messages show anymore. I just moved from my old faithful iPhone 4s to the iPhone 6.

Try to restore your iphone via iTunes or update to ios6.1.2.
If itunes gives an error with restoring (DFU/Recovery or just normal)
try this:
open your computer and search on windows; C://windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts
open up the hosts file in note pad you will see IP adresses and more add another line and put in this:
#74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com
this is a by-pass to the cydia/saurik restore server, it has nothing to do with jailbreaking over voiding apple's warranty

Carrying app info over to new iPhone

Is there a way to keep saved info in apps after upgrading to the iPhone 4S? For instance, my Tiny Tower is thriving- I'd hate to have to start over!

All app data is contained in the iPhone backup in iTunes. If you backup and sync your old phone prior to activating the iP4S, you can restore the backup data to the new phone. However, you should update the old phone to iOS 5 before the final backup so that the data will be compatible with the iP4S.

You may have a problem. I would try removing the T-Mobile nanoSIM, reseating it and then activating it again. If that fails talk to T-Mobile and see if they can help you.

Does changing carriers when I get a new iPhone affect a Backup & Restore?
I currently have an iPhone 5 on AT&T. My new iPhone 6 Plus arrives in a few days, but I'm going with T-Mobile this time. I'm planning on doing a "Backup & Restore" using iTunes, but I'm unclear about how that works since I'm going with a different carrier for the new iPhone. Other than that poorly designed AT&T app, will any AT&T settings or info be restored to my new T-Mobile iPhone?

The iPhone 5 will come with a new SIM Card in the iPhone ready for you to activate. If you want to make things a bit more difficult, you can cut a Micro SIM to the Nano Sim size with scissors. Of if you have any problems with your iPhone 5 and its SIM Card you can get a new one from your Carrier. But, again the new iPhone 5 will come with a new one for you.

You should be able to see two different tabs when setting up the email if you go to Other > Add Mail Account. Once you enter in the email address and password, you should be at the next screen to provide more details about the email as far as incoming and outgoing servers and at the top there will be a blue section to add it in as a POP or IMAP email account. Check out the article below for further troubleshooting and emails setup options.

TS1538 iphone isnt showing on itunes after the new update!

my main problem is that my phone isnt showing up anywhere on my lapetop or itunes since the udate of itunes!
and i tired doing re-installing the Apple Mobile Device USB Drive but i have Windows 8 and the directions are not listed for that software.

i have the same problem. although my mac didnt ask for restart, installation stopped half way through the updating, and it comes up with unknown error 1 , once ive managed to exit recovery mode( the usb and itunes logo) apple logo appears, and then its loading and THEN ITS TURNING ITSELF OFF and ON - > after that apple apears - loading... and yeah goes in circles.
I've tried to restore previous copy but itunes wont let me do it anymore, it comes up with an error.
I've edited hosts, and it's still not working.
... any ideas anyone?
