My catalog is suddenly blank? It's still listed, I can still open it, but there's nothing in it.
I had lots of trouble getting my old Album catalog to convert to Photoshop elements 8, so I eventually
circumvented the problem by simply re-creating my catalog from scratch. Unfortunately took a fair bit of time, without giving the details. I've been working with my new catalog doing various little things and uploading pics off and on over the last few weeks. Then today, after not opening photoshop for a few days, I opened up the PE8 organizer, and it opens up my catalog, but all of a sudden there's nothing there. It says "no items have been imported to this catalog" and on the right all of my added tags are gone. I've double checked the File --> Catalogs menu -- I have the original "My Catalog", and my current catalog listed. The "My Catalog" has some music files, and as I said my new catalog has nothing in it. Unfortunatley I just backed up all my pictures before transferring them to PE8, so I didnt' think to re-back-up the catalog itself right away after doing this.
Anyone seen this happen?

Thanks for the response, but no I did not update the catalog. I had repeated problems with updating my catalog from the old Album 2.0 that I initially used, so I simply re-created the catalog from scratch -- I figured out a relatively easy way to do this, but won't bother to share it here unless anyone's interested.
So I basically created a new catalog, then had the above problem.
I've tried looking for the files based on when they were imported as above as well, but there is nothing listed as ever having been imported.
I'm OK with creating the catalog from scratch again -- will probably take me 30-60 mins, but I dont' want this to happen again.

When I open the Bonusprint software there is a window on the side with 'LIBRARIES' at the top and I can access my photos and albums from here. I can still see all my photos in the various albums etc., underneath and when I click on them they open as thumbnails underneath but iPhoto itself is still paralysed even after I quit the Bonusprint software. -
A few days ago i small piece of plastic got stuck and subsequently fell out the charger hole of my ipod classic, although it still connects to itunes and syncs itunes says it has synced but there is nothing on my ipod! I have done this a few times and nothing seems to work! HELP! :/

Do you mean the Extensions tab (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or the Get Extensions tab in "Tools > Add-ons"?
It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
Delete the files extensions.* (e.g. extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini, extensions.cache) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

It is past June 30 and I still get the warning, but there is nothing to migrate. How do I stop the warning?
Remove any mention of MobileMe in the iPhoto preferences and then in the SystemPreferences

I just updated itunes to 10.6.
Windows. Vista. (up to date)
Everything is the library has gone - no apps, music, videos etc.
Playlists have gone.
Everything on the iPhone is still there.
I can't sync because everything will then get deleted from the phone and replaced with the (empty) library.
How can I get it all back to normal?In the course of your troubleshooting to date, have you worked through the following document?

I have songs on my iPod and iTunes where sections of the song ranging from 40 seconds to 2 minutes will not play. The song status bar indicates the file is still being played there is no audio. What can I do to repair or replace these files?
If iTunes purchases, delete and redownload by:

Most of the games on my iPod classic 4g will not play anymore. I get a message that is of no help and when i synced the games they disappeared. What is going on and where have the games for iPods on iTunes gone ?
Apple removed the clickwheel games from the iTunes Store back in September.
Have you tried a hard reset of the iPod to see if that helps resolve the issue of not being able to play the games? To do this, first make sure the Hold Switch is in the OFF position, then press and hold both the Select (Center) and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.

Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

Iweb pages are suddenly blank.
When I open iweb all but the first page are suddenly blank. I've quit, dumped the .plist, re-started, repaired the preferences, dumped the cache - and still I can only see the first page. Online I can see the whole site, but to edit on my commuter, not so much. At first, when I look at the other pages, I can see the outline of the template, but then that disappears, too. The weirdest part is this happened on two computers! At first I could't even open the first page, but I'd backed up onto idisk, so I downloaded the file, but could only get the first page, as I said.
You've done the standard "fixes" so it might be time to reinstall iWeb. To do so you'll have to delete the current application and all files with "iWeb" in the file name with either a .PKG or .BOM extension that reside in the HD/Library/Receipts folder and from the /var/db/receipts/ folder,

HELP!! Dashboard Post-it's or Stickies are suddenly blank.
The yellow stickies on my dashboard have suddenly gone blank. I keep some important info on these (I know I should have it backed-up elsewhere), and they're simply empty. The actual stickies are still there, but there's no text. I tried repairing permissions, but no luck. ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED!!

In Stickies make sure you have scrolled all the way up and down in the window. Sometimes your input is there, you just need to view the entire window.
Also, here's how to Save notes:
Saving sticky notes
You can save a sticky note as a text file before closing it. If you don’t save the sticky note before you close it, you’ll lose all the text in the note. If you don’t close a sticky note, it will be visible whenever Stickies is open.
To save a sticky note:
Click the close button in the top-left corner of the sticky note to close it.
In the dialog that appears, click the Save button.
Type a name and choose a destination for the text file you’re creating.
Choose a format from the Format pop-up menu:
Plain Text: Cannot include paragraph and font formatting or graphics and other embedded files.
RTF: Can include paragraph and font formatting. If you add graphics to a Rich Text Format (RTF) file, it is changed to a Rich Text Format Directory (RTFD) file.

all of a sudden I'm getting a 'itunes.exe - system error It says the program can't start because MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem. I have tried to reinstall and still can't open itunes. help!

Any other pdf download off internet I can still open and read, except for that particular book. Operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium, Adobe Reader XI 11.0.07. When trying to open file I get msg "You did'nt login or your session has expired. Please log in to read this document for the first time". (Like I said I have read it before). So I log in but that prompts me to give the name of the file I want to export or convert to Word or something else, which is not what I want to do of course. I have not purchased any service from Adobe or Acrobat as I only need to read. Thanks for your help..

Suddenly Can't Open PDFs in Firefox. Starting about three days ago firefox will no longer open any PDFs. I get a blank page in a new tab. Nice timing, with finals and everything where I need to view PDFs of practice tests.
Mozilla Firefox did not do their job, here. I am an editor and am constantly online. Now, I have to go to Safari to download PDFs. I reinstalled an earlier version of Firefox to get rid of the problem, but somehow Firefox has deactivated my PDF download feature. This is a total wreck and I am so angry I could spit. Stop launching new products until you have fully tested them. Customers are not your guinea pigs. Please fix this now- and fire a few idiots on the way- the ones who let this happen.
