My cd/dvd drive will only play cd's it will not work for dvd's or games. can some one please help?

I have a HP Pavilion p6606f Desktop PC Windows 7 64-bit. I was trying to burn off a DVD and it will not reconize DVD's or games, but will reconize a CD.

Hello selinahillier, Many times when this happens the DVD laser has become faulty. I have removed the DVD drive, and the DVD drive case, and used a soft cloth and some cleaning solution to clean the DVD Laser and managed to get the DVD working again.
Since DVD drives are as inexpensive as they are now, it might be best to just purchase a new one.
These can be purchased for less than $20.00 USD now.

Also, how's it connected to your TV?David. Thank you very much. The problem was not with the canvas but rather the Viewer. But the solution was the same. Somehow, the Viewer window was re-set to Alpha. I changed it back to RGB.... and the picture is back. These issues are often very simple.... but they can drive you bats if you don't know the answer. Windows 8.1 installed on my Mac and now I am not able to open Apple OS. Mac is opening straight windows with out an option to open Apple OS. My Mac is running on the latest Yosemite OS.

I lost my iphone, got a new sim card and put it in my boyfriend's old iphone. When I synch it in itunes it will only synch with his stuff and not mine. Any ideas how I can get it to synch with my itunes??
Are you using a Mac? It sounds like you are using his computer to sync to. If this is the case, then it will sync to all of his stuff unless a new user is created with your personal stuff on it.
When you want to sync your iPhone to that computer, switch to your user first, and then everything will sync with your stuff. If he wants to hook up his iPhone to sync it, then he needs to switch back to his own username first. -
Can a one please help me turn off auto play for Facebook the option is no longer in my General settings why is this ?
And yet the link you posted only tells you how to do it on the Facebook App for Android. Nothing about the Facebook page is mentioned at all, or how to do it on an iPhone.
With that said, and assuming you have the most up to date version of the Facebook App, you can now turn the auto play feature Off within the Facebook App itself. Tap on the "More" icon on the bottom right, then scroll down to Settings->Videos and Photos->Auto Play. If Smart auto-Play is on turn it off. Then you can set the check mark on "Never Play Videos Automatically" which is the same as Off. -

Hello can some one assit me please. I have purchased a new lap top and copied my old itunes files accross so i do not loose all my music, and have to start again. I can play and see allof my tunes and play these. However I am unable to access the Itunes store through my itunes files. It will not interface at all. I can access itunes store through the Web, but not through the my ituntes file. I have gone in and authorised the laptop through the various process. Highly frustrated already paided a computer person to fix this. However hed deleated all files and started again he had it work and then I turned computer on again and it will not interface from the itune file to itunes, So if I copy a CD it will not tell you the name of the track. I cannot asscess the itunes store to action anything. Please assit me

KarenI am not an expert, but assuming that you have a Windows or Mac folder with music in it and want to move that to a new laptop, I think you have to import it into iTunes. iTunes needs to associate each file with a link, so copying it over will not associate a link.
Delete the files and try importing. -

Step 1:
In troublshooting the problem you may follow the steps provided below.
a. Click Start, type Sound in the Start Search box.
b. Click Sound in the search results at the top of the Start menu.
c. Click the Playback tab. Notice the check mark next to the default device. For most users,the default device is speaker, change it to headphones. Make sure that your audio settings are configured as expected.
Step 2:
On the Playback tab, select the playback device, click Properties, click the Advanced tab, and make sure that the Default Format is set to the value that you expect. When you finish, close this window to return to the previous window.
Step 3:
On the Playback tab, select the playback device, click Configure, and then make sure the configurations are set correctly.
Method 2:
If the issue persists then I suggest you to follow these below mentioned steps to mute all other sounds when windows detects any communications activity.
a. Click Start, type Sound in the Start Search box.
b. Click Sound in the search results at the top of the Start menu.
c. Click the Communications tab.
d. Click on the radio button according to your convenience, under When Windows detects communications activity.
After performing the above steps you may check for the issue.

Cannot print in Adobe 9 it will only print to file which does not work
I cannot print a PDF file that is in Adobe 9. It is not the file, I opened several other files and they all do the same thing. INstead of printing. When I click OK after choosing the printer, it goes into a print to file mode. The print to file always fails and then it will nto print. This morning it was working fine. Now it will not print. It may have installed an update to Adobe 9, I do not remember it being 9 before. I am in trouble if I cannot print tonight. Any ideas?

I have tried all of the tips and tricks for getting my imessage to send from my phone number, not my email but I am not having any luck.
The option in the message settings has my phone number greyed out and my apple ID has my phone number stored. I am not sure why this is happening and would really appreciate the help.
