My charge cable doesnt provide with enough electricity!

My charge cable for my Hp pavilion Dv6(got it this christmas.. it isnt even a year old) doesnt work anymore! I just plugged it in since it had fallen out, and there was a box showing up saying my cable doesnt provide with enough ''effect'' for my computer.. the screen is bright for like 5 seconds and then gets dark again! I also wanna say that i ALWAYS have my cable plugged in! and that i splled some cola on the keyboard but i wiped it away.. i really need help since the battery is soon out of power!
Thanks!
Steven

When you connect the iPad to a Microsoft Windows PC it will tell you that it's not charging. This happens to many users, because their USB port is not that powerful. Newer Apple/Mac Computers and Windows PCs can charge the iPad via USB, but it will be slower than charging with the 10 Watt power adapter.
The iPad shows in the upper right corner the battery symbol. When connected to the PC there will be a very short change to "loading state" (battery symbol changes) and then the iPad shows the message "not charging". This doesn't mean that it is not charging at all. On my computer it's like this: message "not charging" but it is charging, but actually very very slow.
As iPod and iPad cables are the same, there is no difference. But maybe you mean an iPod power adapter? This will probably be the same like described before. The power adapter isn't strong enough to charge the iPad. I've got a quite small and handy power adapter for my smartphone with USB port. Charging my (Android phone and) iPod works finde with it. But it's too weak for charging the iPad. When I connect it, nothing happens at the iPad...
But it works fine if you use the iPad charger for you iPod. You'll need only one power adapter for all devices :-)

  • Can You charge an ipod shuffle with an electrical outlet?

Do you need to have your computer to charge an ipod shuffle???

No, you don't need a computer. You can charge it with an electrical outlet, in your home, or even in your car. Go to Target or Walmart and have a look at the different chargers available. You can get a package that has a standard home-outlet charger and a car charger, so you can do either. Saw something in Walmart for about $20 that would do the trick.

  • HT1476 Using original charging cable that came with phone and now says not supported. Have only had phone a week. Tried it on new Nano and say alert. It won't charge either devices?

Have a brand new iPhone 5S and Nano iPod. 5 days old.  Using original charging cord and getting message from both units that the cord is unsupported. Is the cord damaged somehow?  It looks fine .  Today I was trying to SYNC Nano with laptop to transfer MP 3.

    Hi Gerardo,
You are going to have to take your device and charger cord to an Apple Store. We have no way to diagnose why it is not recognizing it as an authentic Apple charger. If it is defective, they will replace it free of charge, since you are still well under warranty.

  • Charging Mac 4th gen with Win. Cable?

I’m traveling with my TiBook and 4th generation iPod. Forgot my cable to attach iPod to laptop to charge it. Borrowed the USB cable from a Windows mini user and connected it to the laptop.
Although the iPod initially appeared on my desktop and the iPod showed that it was charging, the battery ran out...never charged.
I ejected it, removed the cable, rebooted and reconnected.
The iPod showed charging, the laptop briefly showed the iPod icon and then almost instantly disappeared.
I received a message on the computer that I “elegally” disconnected. The ipod screen went blank. I can turn it on, but it tells me that the battery is basically empty.
I tested the cable with the PC Mini and the PC and it seems to work fine.
What the hecks going on. Is the PC charging cable not compatible with with the Mac iPod and laptop?
    G4 PowerBook   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

    Hi auapplemac,
i think your problem lies in the fact that you are using the usb cable. Some USB ports can provide more power than others ie. powered USB ports. The PC is plugged into a wall and so most likely, has the power to charge the iPod mini, while the powerbook, which will power conscious will not provide that so i doubt you will be able to charge the iPod like that. That would also explain why the iPod dropped off as well. Perhaps if you left the iPod connected to the powerbook for a very long time, with the iPod mounted so that you can see the normal menu (leave it to sleep so it can charge faster) then you might see some improvment.
In the long run i would suggest looking to find the firewire cable which i know will definately charge the unmounted iPod quickly.
    Hope that helps

  • Why is the charging cable not working on iPhone 6?

    Hi guys,
I just bought a new iPhone 6 and i'm very happy with the phone itself. Natural upgrade from my old iphone 5. But i kinda feel ripped off by the following: I bought an official apple 2m lightning charger at an official apple seller about 6 months ago for about 30 euro (don't know the exact price). Worked perfectly with my iphone 5 and allowed me to use my phone in a better way while lying in bed. But when i try to charge my iPhone 6 with that charger it says that the asseccory isn't supported by the phone. It really ****** me off. Why is an official apple charger not supported on the iPhone 6?

Does the charger-cable that came with the iPhone 6 work properly, does the extra charger work correctly with other devices?  If so, could be an issue with the extended cable matching the new iPhone.  You could take it to an Apple Store Genius Bar and have the techs check it to see why it won't work with the new iPhone.  Could be the resistance is too high for the new iPhone.

  • DT-900 Charging cable

Does anyone know if a standard 2.5mm charging cable will work with the DT-900 wireless charger?  Or is there a car charger that might work with it?  I am trying to install the DT-900 into my car but can't find a compatible cable or plug.

hi mate, don't believe that it will. even though it may fit, it has a much higher current required so i doubt it. there is a CR-200 charger made by Nokia if you wish to charge your phone wirelessly while driving.

  • Micro B charger cable for CK-100

    Hi,
I have a CK-100 car kit and trying to find a replacement/upgrade charge cable (CA-134) with a USB micro B connector instead of the 2mm that is fitted.  The user/installation guide mentions that an alternative USB cable may be supplied but all searches have failed to find one.  The alternative is to make up a cable RJ45 at the CK end, I can buzz it out but does anyone have the pin out for the RJ45?  I've tried the CA-146 adapter and to be honest it's naff - it runs hot and the output is reduced to the point that whilst running my satnav app the phone will discharge faster than it can be charged, I've also tried the adapter on a standard car charger with the same results.

  • Can only charge ipad 4 with electrical outlet try to charge via a computer with USB  or a fax machine nothing please he

Cannot charge ipad 4 buy using the cable provided with purchase. Only way of charging is via electrical outlet. Can someone please advise

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
How to Calibrate Your Mac, iPhone, or iPad Battery
    http://www.macblend.com/how-to-calibrate-your-mac-iphone-or-ipad-battery/
At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. Hello candymerna,
At this point I would recommeng resetting the device if if will not turn on.
    Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
From: iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

Battery does not charge from the USB power adapter
Important: Only original iPhone can be charged from a FireWire-based power source. If iPhone is connected to a computer that's turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the battery may drain.
Verify that the outlet being used is working.
Try another USB power adapter if available.
If no other USB power adapter is available, try connecting to a high-power USB 2.0 port (not a keyboard). The computer must be turned on and not in sleep or standby mode.
Try another USB cable if available.

  • HT1476 After update to either iOS 7.0.3 or 7.0.4, my iPhone 4S won't charge. I'm using charger and cable that came with the phone. Nothing else changed.

I'm using charger and cable that came with the phone. Nothing else changed.
I think it was the update the iOS 7.0.4 that I did last night. I woke up this morning with my battery almost drained and the charging function going off and on every few seconds, like it would start charging then disconnect, then reconnect repeatedly.
I've tried restarting the phone and hard restarting the phone several times, but I'm getting really low on battery by now (under 20%).
I've tried cleaning the connector with a little isopropyl alcohol, and blowing it out with compressed air. Though I can't be 100% certain, it's very unlikely my connector died exactly at the same time I was updating my phone. Especially since it appears I'm not the only one with this problem.
And now, after the last hard reset, my phone doesn't even recognize the charger at all, or being connected with the USB cable to my MacBook Pro.
I turned off my phone so when I go to the Apple Store it will power up one last time, but besides that I'm out of ideas.

Just back from Genius Bar and two other people at my table had the same problem. Their 4Ss aren't charging either. One of them had a fried board according to the tech. At least my HW checked out OK. It just won't charge.
The tech tried to tell me that it was because my connector was corroded, which I told him was kind of a weak argument since evidence points to that the update has something to do with it.
They're seeing a lot of these and it looks like they already have a script.
Luckily I had enough juice left to recycle it for like $180, so I picked up a 5S with a new 2 year.
It looked to me like this is going to blow up pretty big. Like class action lawsuit big.
If you have an iPhone 4 or 4S, and you haven't updated it to iOS 7, don't for now. See if a patch comes out that doesn't brick your phone. Or get an induction charger maybe? Don't just update and expect absolutely no problems because too many people are having problems right now.

  • I HAVE A BRAND NEW IPHONE 5S. IT SUDDENLY DOESNT WANT TO CHARGE. IT SAYS THE CHARGER IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH MY DEVISE. WHY DID THAT HAPPEN?

I have a brand new iphone. All of a sudden it will not charge. When i plug the charger to the phone it says that charger its not compadible with my phone and sometimes it will charge up to 4% and then it wont charge any more. Why is this?

If your phone is still under warranty, get it checked by Apple or visit an Authorized Apple Service Provider to find out what the problem might be.
Could be the USB adapter, USB cable or the docking port of the phone.
