My charger broke off in my computer....!!!

So, my MacBook Pro charger broke off and now the magnetic end is stuck in my computer.  I have tried just about everything to pull, pry, you name it but I cannot get it out.  Does anyone have any suggestions or experience here?

Take it to your nearest Apple Store or AASP. Don't use a crowbar on it.

  • Charger broke off, in the MacBook Pro

       Hello,
My mom dropped my laptop and the charging piece that goes into the computer broke off IN the computer.   Should I try and use pliers to pull it out, and then buy a new one?

You have to take the computer to the Apple store to have it fixed.

  • My charger broke off in my iPad mini how do i get it out

my charger broke off in my ipad mini.. how do i get it out or where can i bring it to fix it

The tweezers are a good idea. just don't go digging to the point that you may scratch the case. Because, unfortunately, if you do and if you have any issues with the port in the future,  those scratches may be enough to void any warranty coverage.
A delicate touch is what's needed.

  • My brand new charger broke off inside my iPad air...

ive had my iPad air for two years  now and I've had every iPhone since the second one that came out... but all of a sudden the "high" quality charges that apple are offering obviously aren't of the quality they say. three brand new chargers I've bought in the last two weeks have all broken, one inside my iphone 6 and two inside my iPad... When will this stop? And how much will I have to spend on chargers until it does?

Theyve never broken before, I've been an apple customer for years now... And I've spoken to friends that the same happens to, but not as often... so I know it can't be my fault... I could understand if I was a kid ramming it into the charging port... But I'm nearly 20 and i don't think I could be more careful. I took all chargers back and stormfront (the franchise that sells Apple products) agreed it shouldn't be happening but said Apple disagreed their chargers were at all "faulty" and so meaningtwo choices I have to just buy new ones... Or sell my devices and see what Samsung have got which I do not want to do...

  • Tip power cord broke off inside outlet.

The very tip of the male end of my power adaptor broke off INSIDE the computer. It is now stuck in the computer's power outlet. How do I get it out without disassembling my powerbook?
I should add that the outlet is still working and my replacement adaptor charges it, it's just that it doesn't sit comfortably with the other thing still inside it and occasionally it makes a little crackling noise (no sparks, just the noise)
Also, this is the second time that this happened with an Apple power cord in the space of a year. I am not unduly abusing my power cords, so what am I doing to cause this? Are Apple's power adaptors shoddy or is it me?

Yes, that will always be a danger.. which is why you use a tiny tiny amount of glue, and let it dry. You'll be able to pull it out, even if it glues to the metal.. as a non-pourous surface, the bond with the super glue won't be very strong.
Personally, I'd very seriously consider stripping the machine down, following the instructions at http://www.ifixit.com

  • Hi all. My charger cable broke up by the computer. I can fix it myself but I can find anywhere to buy the part. Can any one help?

Replacement MagSafe DC cables are not available. You'll need to work with the pieces you have or buy a new AC adapter (which would be the better choice).

Try holding down the on/off and the home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo.

My sister has the same ipod as me and has no problems charging hers on our computer. Please Help me!!

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

    Hey
Does it charge when connected, if not you may have broken it..
You can always try an apple Genius at an Apple Store,

  • My charger broke so I gave my sister the charger, and my iPod touch for proof. She took it to the apple store and traded it for an iPhone 5c. I was wondering if apple can do something for me so I could get my ipod back?

I have no idea what you meant by giving your sister your "iPod touch for proof". Proof of what?
The only way she could have traded it was recycling it for 10% off the cost of a new device but the Apple Store doesn't do this as far as I know for iPhones. You could take the receipt for your iPhone to the Apple Store and show it to the manager but you really need to solve this within your family.

  • Part of my power adapter broke off in powerbook power point!

i unplugged the power adapter from the powerbook and the male end has broke off and stuck in the powesupply hole. so wedged in, is there any safe ways to fix it? never opened up my powerbook and had a looksy.... :[

I've done this once. Some have suggested putting a drop of superglue onto the tip of a small stick (like a toothpick) and carefully touching it to the broken tip.
I had success heating a small glob of solder to a small wire with my soldering iron, and touching it to the broken tip, then removing the iron quickly. I held the wire with tweezers. One has to be careful in any event to not touch the outer hole with glue or solder.
Naturally you remove the battery first. Access to the power jack isn't much better when the computer is opened.

  • I dropped my MacBook Pro and the charger broke!

I dropped it from about 3 ft and it landed on the corner. When i picked it up the part of the charger that connects to the computer came off and is stuck in the port. It still charges if i put it in but i can't get the part out of the port. What do I do?

The part that you say is "stuck" in the computer port is held in place by a strong magnet in the body of the computer. You cannot get a good grip on it with your unaided fingers and apply enough pressure to remove it.
A pair of long-nose pliers will help you grip it firmly enough to remove it.
That metal part is pressed onto the end of the Power adapter cord, and held in place with an adhesive that reminds me of crazy glue Gel. There are (or were) two alignment pins, and the longer pin goes to the outboard end of the cord, where there is room for it to go into the housing.
Dry fit it first, then dis-assemble, apply adhesive, and clamp firmly in place while the glue sets up. It should be almost as good as new.
