How much does apple charge to replace the iPad 3 digitizer
Anyone know how much Apple charges to repair cracked digitizer for iPad 3?
I bought a second hand iPad 3 and because there was a dent on the corner and "evidence" that the device had been opened previously they refused to service it and said the device was "beyond economic repair." They said the repair charge would be $795.00, mind you, all they would have had to do was replace the digitizer and it would have been fixed, but the customer service rep told me they don't really do repairs anymore when I asked if they would just replace the touch panel. The unit is like new minus some light wear and tear and the digitizer was in one piece, there was just a small portion that was unresponsive to touch. So, after they presented me with the options to repair for $795.00, recycle the unit, or have the item shipped back, I decided on option C and bought a replacement panel on Amazon for $35. The repair was a piece of cake and now I have a fully functional iPad 3 again.

Do I need a converter in addition to an adapter to charge my phone and ipad mini in France?
I used my iPod touch power plug and cord in France with no problem. I did need an adapter to allow me to plug our 2-blade plug into their round-post outlets. There are no electronics involved in that, just metal pieces. You can pick those up cheaply online (I just borrowed one at my hotel). (PS - I live in the US).

What's a good Charging Habit for my iPad 3?
I need a good habit for charging my new iPad since the battery drains quickly. Can you help me out? Thanks!
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. My ipad 2's battery percentage is stuck at 95%!!! Eventhough I charge 5 hours, it is still 95%...After that, I unplugged the charger, I use my ipad for 3 hours, it is still 95%!!!!! What's wrong is it?! HELP ME
You probably need to recalibrate the battery. See link below.
Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.

Will the 10W Apple Charger work with my iPad Mini
Hello Everyone
I got a ipad mini for christmas and because the lightening cable and 5W charger don't reach because i have only got one socket accesible in my living room i was thinking about buying the 10W Charger from Western Computers in Cheltnam, Gloucestershire And I Have a few questions about it because it does not tell me on the website which devices it is compatible with my following questions are
Will It work with my ipad mini?
Will it charge my iPad Mini Quicker?
Will it be compatible with the lightening cable my ipad comes with or will i have to get a adapter of some sort?
Please can someone answer my questions and reply because i do not want to wast my £25.00The 10W charger will work on all of Apple's iDevices. It will charge your Mini faster.

Can I use a European 220v iPad charger in my American iPad without frying my iPad?
iPad charger can be used anywhere. They are rated 100V to 240V 50/60Hz.
You only need a plug adapter. -
What is the best charging cable for the iPad Air (that is not made by Apple)? I need a long cable (over 6ft or more). I also need the cable to be of high quality and the cord part of the cable to be made of strong material. Apple does not make one this long. Is there a cable out there that is sturdy like this and is safe to use?
yes, but I'm trying to use my iPad to type notes (using pages) and I have the smart case which I use as a stand. I need a cable long enough to fit through the back of my desk and the charging brick for the iPad won't fit behind the desk. I have to put it on the floor and then the apple cables aren't long enough to reach.
-
What is the normal % per minute charge rate of the iPad (3rd generation)?
Recently I've been experiencing some issues with the battery on my iPad. Even when plugged in to the charger, the battery goes down if I'm doing something processor intensive, and only charges at a rate of less than 1% per minute while in sleep mode. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Should I take it into the apple store?
I first noticed it this morning when I left it on the charger all night and it was only at ~38% charge. The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). I have an iPad 3 GB - do I need a special charger for this older model? The charger for a newer iPad seems to fit, but I do not get any kind of display that it is charging.
Did you try another cable?
If you are using a USB to iPad dock connector (older iPads do not use the newer Lightning connector) then

HT4060 what is the charging time of new iPad 4th gen??
Hi have bought a new iPad 4th Generation. it takes more than 3 hrs to full charge even when i use its 10W adapter supplied with box. How much time exactly iPad takes to full charge??
That's a lot faster than most users report. Usually overnight.

HT5423 How many hours is the charging time of the iPad 4th gen?
I am charging my ipad, & noticed that its been 9 hours & still its 90 percent. I just wanna know, how many hours is the charging time of an iPad before it gets 100% full? & is it normal that the charger become hot? Hope someone can answer this question. Thank u.
Chargers, and the unit being charged where the battery is located, will get warm during charging...charging does work on the battery. If it is hot or too hot to handle then you need to decide if it is too uncomfortable and needs to be checked at the Apple store genius bar.
Nine hours is a long time to charge, but if you discharged all the way it can take 4-8 hours to fully charge.
If the charger is getting very hot and taking a long time to charge you may want to take it to the genius bar and have it checked by the techs.
