My childs ipod touch is missing, someone tried to reset the password around the same time it "Vanished" is there a way to track what WIFI network was used to make this attempt? We think it was taken at her school and any small info would help!
Trying to find my daughters ipod touch, the last we saw it was around thursday and strangly I recieved an email that the apple id was attempting to be changed and or reset...this was not by me or my wife and my daughter is 7 so i dont think it was her...we think it may have been taken at her school but not sure so what i was wondering was is there a way to pinpiont the wifi network that was used to make this attempt?? I have the full Adobe CS3 Suite on my computer, including After Effects. I use Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator regularly for my job.
I want to try to monkey around with the video software at an amateur level. But before I buy any tutorials, I need to know what program to buy the tutorial for!!

While the clip may not necessarily have been done in AE, you can achieve
these results. Careful masking along with good keyframing of the
movement properties will do it. There are other ways, but while this
might not be the fastest, would be the simplest and would provide a good
learning experience for someone starting out.

My ippd touch isnt working i tried to reset it and the apple logo comes up then goes to a black screen. What else can I do?
Try connecting to your PC in Recovery Mode ane restore it. See this article for help on getting your iPod into Recovery Mode.

I am trying to tranfer photos from pc to ipad via itunes. I put the photos in a file and sub-files in order to tranfer them as albums: an main album with albums within. All the photos tranfered but into only one album. Is there a way to do this? Is there an app that would help. Also, I tranfered two albums into iphoto. I edited a photo in one album which created a new album of edits. I have removed the photos form the album but I am not able to delete the album themselves. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
I am having the same problem and it is even bigger.
When opening a 1-page PDF in iBooks and sending it via mail it is sent inline as preview, but the recipient cannot open the file anymore. Also on iPad and iPhone there is no "open in" possible.
Somehow the mail app does destroy the file. What is going wrong? -
I somehow seem to have changed the Apple id password on my iPad and don't know what it is. When I try to reset it, I'm given the option of having Apple get in touch with me by email. I click on this choice and Apple says the email has been sent - but I never receive it, even though the address is valid. The other option is to answer two questions preceded by entering my birthdate. I know the answers to the questions, but must have entered my birthdate incorrectly when I set up the account. To make a long story short, I can't sign in to iCloud on the iPad and can't figure a way out of this dilemma.
Your password was sent to your emergency email address. Perhaps you have an email you never use? I use the free email from my cable TV account as my emergency email.
Your Apple account and cloud account are separate. You could even have completely different user and password. Most of us use the same user ID and password, but they are not the same thing, don't mix them up.
If you can't retrieve emergency email, you will have to call apple support.

I'm trying to reset my password, but the password reset doesn't seem to be going to my email inbox.
I'm a bit concerned because the message from Mozilla tells me that the password reset was sent and I have only six hours to use it.
Account services, I assume. I'm needing to link a new computer so that I can sync it to my others. When I tried to sign in, my password wasn't accepted. I went the "reset password" route, and Mozilla claimed that the password reset was sent to my inbox, but it's been a while, and nothing has arrived, yet.

After Stopping it and Restarting and it is still not reconizing your device Then start uninstalling
Start with: Itunes, Quicktime, Bonjour, Apple Software Update, Apple Mobile Device.
I had an issue uninstalling Apple Software Update, and was unable to get it off my computer.
But after all that download and reinstall itunes.
After doing all that i was able to get mine to show up in itunes

Hello, I hope by now you have resolved the upgrade issue, but if not, here is what I ended up having to do:
“SUCCESS!!! I took my iPod to a friend who is a computer programmer/genius. He turned off his wireless, hooked the ethernet cable directly into his computer, and the download went through without a hitch. YAY!”

It has the 2.1.2 ios on it, but after I paid for the upgrade to 3.1.1, I keep getting an error message (8288) saying there was a problem with the network connection. I have called customer service, and they suggested I try on a different computer, and if that didn't work, try connecting to a different network, and then trying the update. None of this has worked. It seems that tech support is clueless with this issue.
I have installed and unistalled iTunes 10.5, 10.3, 10.4, and now I am back with 10.5. I have tried looking up the issue from several search engines but no one seems to have a universal solution and I have tried several.
I really want to have this thing updated for himw hwne he opens it, but I am starting to worry that my purchase was a bust. I know this is the oldest version, but I don't want to buy a newer, more expensive iPod and him still not be mature enough to really take care of it. As I said, this one is a starter.

Many developers when they updated their apps fro the newer iOSs dropped support for the older iOSs. That included Skype and other developers. Unless you have a copy of the apps version that was compatible with your iPod/iOS you are out of luck. Do you cave such a copy in a computer file backup??

No.
- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
- You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have to iPod play a sound via iCloud.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it.
- Apple will do nothing

I had a girlfriend buy me an ipod for my mom's music at her Celebration of Life and someone took it. Is there a way to track it down? She did register it. I can't believe someone did this to me on one of the worst days of my life.
Unfortunately, unless you set up an iCloud account on the iPod and turned on Find My iPod before it was stolen, no. Even if you did do that, there are many ways it could fail (for example, the thief could wipe it clean or not try to connect to a network or the network's location might not be known). But, you could try it by logging in to iCloud and using the Find My iPhone applet.
