My clock is two days off... sorta.

So if I open Date and Time, I'm presented with an accurate 2007 calander. However the text entry field is two days ahead. For example, if I use the small calander and select today (Friday Jan 5 2007) the text field above it reads 1/7/2007. This error is also reflected in the menu bar and applications.
Resetting the PRAM did not help.

In my entire MAC life I have only posted two questions to these discussion forums and neither has ever been solved.

Just a quick summary again:
1. Absolutley fresh installs. All settings (time zone, international, etc are correct)
2. The Menubar Date and Time displays correct Day of Week, Wrong Date, Correct Year
3. Date & Time panel in System Preferences displays a small selectable calander and a text entry field above it. The calender is accurate for January 2007. The text field always displays two days ahead of whatever is selected on the calender. This happens in manual mode or using any of the intenet time servers.
4. PRAM and PMU have been reset numerous times. PRAM Battery has been replaced.

Surely there is someone out there who knows something. Please I beg you. I must know.

I have an Iphone 4 and starting two days ago when using either pandora Itunes after two songs i no longer hear sound. This happens whether using the headphones or not. I have to completely turn app off and then back on to get another two songs.

I am not sure why or what happened but for the last two days every time I attempt to listen to any music I am limited to only two songs. I have tried multiple things but nothing is working. The only way for me to get more songs to play is to completely turn the application off and then restart it again. I have to do this repeatedly after only two songs. i have just bought two hp 15 no31 se notebooks for use at work but i have noticed that the batterys on one of them goes completely flat within two days but how can this happen while it is switched off? so i phoned a very well known uk distributor for advise and was told it seems very strange this happens and that the battery should be checked as it it is more likly it needs a new one but they cant rule out its the notebook without checking it but this will cost me so decided to call hp uk as its still under 2 months old i spoke to a man named dean who told me this is normal and they dont class it as broken i told him i have more then one and it is not happening with the others he just repeated his first stament and said they wont honour the warrenty or even check it i have used hp for many years and i cant belive how they treat there customers as he was very rude and basicly called me a lier i did tell them the phone call was recorded so i have decided to take legal action against hp i will also be putting the calls and notebook to trading standerds for them to investigate my claims so my advise to all is dont go for hp

This issue is a conflict with Parallels and 10.6.8. Update Parallels with the fix and everything should return to normal.

I "stopped" items from going in the trash. Going on for two days now. Cannot turn off Mac while this is happening. How do I stop it?

I have a MacBookPro OSX Lion version 10.7.5 I was trashing a lot of pictures. While the trash was working I added some more and got a separate box with all the items listed individually saying "transferring to trash". It was taking a long time so I clicked on the little "x" to stop the transfer. I have messages that say "stopping" for two days now. I cannot turn the computer off as long as this is going on.
How do I stop this?

Reset it by holding the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then release.

Calendar display off by two days

My phone calendar displays all events as two days earlier but each entry when opened has the correct date e.g. all todays events 8th Nov show as Sat 6th Nov. When i hit the today button it shows the 6th not the 8th but shows the 8th events.
Confused? So am I

i guess we have the same problem...my mac & me account are synching properly but when it comes to my IP the bdate is 2 days ahead of the actual date.

I tried to restore my phone. The only thing that's stuck is my photos. It says downloading 19 of 277. It's been like that for over two days. I tried to restore it again. I even tried to turn it off and on. Not all my photos are copied onto my computer. :(

This happened to me, it took me 44 hours to restore my photos. I explained everything under a similar question just two days ago. Mine got stuck for six hours on 139 of 811 and again at different places the last was 8:00 last night at 800 of 811, finally completed at 4:00 am this morning. Keep it plugged in, close to your wi-fi, make sure you wi-fi in connected in settings . Keep it in the locked sleeping position and don't use it. Tell everyone not to text or call you for the next 24 hours. If you have to use it don't unplug it, text back or answer the call an then immediately lock it and let it sleeps. When you use it it stops the restore and has to start up again. Hope this helps

Lost over 20% battery health in Two Days!

Help! My battery health was at about 88% just two Days ago. I've had my MacBook for over a year now, so that sounded normal-ish. Am I right about that?
Then Yesterday my Battery shot down to 76% health.
Today I just checked, and it's at 66% health. I've been having problems with the Xs and so forth and nothing has been working. Do you think Apple will replace my Battery if I call them?
If I have no chance of them doing that, I mind as well just go out and buy the battery. But sudden drops in health like this, it's very disconcerning. This machine is my First Mac, and we're thinking about buying another one, but with this battery gloom and doom, the last thing I want to do is have to deal with another huge set of dilmenas.
I've faced Random Shut Downs (Cycle Number Two of those started yesterday. Suddenly when I have low battery the machine just "turns off". Can't even Calibrate my Battery because of this), Dirty Palmrests, Woes of Non-Universal Applications (No PC would ever have Microsoft Word launch so slowly). Sure my Mac is great when it's up and running... On the other hand, so many problems with just one machine.

I used to have it, then took it off, and put it back on recently.

Only thing I didn't like about the battery replacement was that they wanted my Credit Card Number on file. Kind of a pretty personal thing to want so Apple can make sure I return a damaged battery...

I don't know if you've already resolved your problem, but I had the same thing, it took me 6 hours to fix it. I had the exact same as you, installed the update and then it went to a white screen. After trying start up holding down cmmd r or holding down the alt key to try to install it again, nothing worked, same result every time. Then an angel came to me here somewhere but I can't find it now to thank him. Start in safe mode, press shift once you hear the start up chime and hold it down until you hear it again. Installation completion box came up and it was working. turn off computer and start up again normally and all is well. Except my final cut pro x doesn't work with it, have to update that now too. same as when I updated to mavericks.

Were the photos taken by your new iPhone? If so, did you not import them off your phone to your computer (as you would any other digital camera) before the restore? If not, restoring wiped the data off the phone and your pictures are gone.
