My cloud email wont 'push' on my Ipad 2 when connceted to wifi?

Please help. I have recently got an IPad 2 and have an issue of my cloud e-mail not pushing when the iPad is connected to wi-fi. It pushes fine on 3g but just not when connected to wifi. My exchange account pushes successfully on both 3g and wifi. Colleagues are having the same problem with Gmail accounts as well.
I have already deleted the account and re-installed and done a hard reboot, all to no avail.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Photo Stream does not count towards your iCloud storage plan.
    Your iOS devices keep a rolling collection of your last 1000 Photos in the Photo Stream album. Only photos taken within the last thirty days and since Photo Stream was activated will be synced.

    It works on my iPhone, and the emails load whenever I manually open the application, but it wont push mail to my computer.
    I have the preferences set to "Automatically check for new messages," which I assume is the same as push- Is that my problem? If not, what is?

    I would start with signing out of all services that require signing into your Apple ID and then signing back in.  Be sure to test the results after processing these steps.

    Don't send any sensitive information over unsecured WiFi. This would include banking details, credit card numbers and the like.

  • HT1386 Ive been through the troubleshooting.  My ipad (1st G) &my ipod touch wont come up in itunes when connect them 2 my comp.  It's not the USB cord or ports, everything is updated &my app store wont come up on ipad when on wifi. how to fix these probs

    My ipad (1st Generation) and my ipod touch will not come up in itunes when I connect them to my computer.  My computer is a MAC and it is brand new with the updated system.  Also, when I am connected to my wireless internet at home, my app store will open on my ipod touch, but it will not open on my ipad. 
    My USB ports work with other devices that I have, such as my camera, and I have tried plugging in the ipad and ipod to different USB ports on the computer, but itunes still won't recognize them.  The USB cord that I use works.  I know this because I use the same cord to plug into the wall charger and it charges both the ipad and ipod fine.  Also, my itunes has been updated to the most recent version (I update it every time that it's an option).  I HAVE noticed, though, that my ipad and ipod never ask me to update itunes on the actual devices themselves. 
    What can I do to solve this issue???  THANKS!

    Back up first (Time machine) as much as possible.
    Un-install and re install Itunes.
    First and foremost download the updated iTunes from apple website. After downloading Uninstall itunes and all its component ( Dont worry, itunes library where your movies and music is located will not be deleted. Please follow instructions on the apple support page). The problem might be the AppleMobileDevice.kext

    I have tried resetting, on/off wifi, on/off iPad. Nothing works, message gets stuck. FaceTime loses connection.

  • Email images not loading on iPad and iPhone 4

    Images are not loading in certain emails on both my iPad and iPhone 4 over wifi.  They're showing up as blue boxes with a white question mark inside.  Also in the iPad app store, certain app icons are showing as whited out.  If i shut off wifi on the phone, the images will load in the emails through 3g.  Does anyone have any idea what would cause these issues and how to correct the problem?

    I had similar problems with both my iphone and ipad when using my wifi, but not when using cellular.  Turned out to be a Comcast issue with their implementation of DNSSEC validation. You can see my full explanation on my blog at http://blog.trif.com/?p=295.  The site is being blocked by Comcast because the Microsoft portal does not meet DNSSEC validation rules.  This applies to Comcast DNS Servers 75.75.75.75 and 75.75.75.76. 

  • I upgraded my wife's iMac to Mountain Lion. When I try to set up her cloud connection to sync with her iPad and iPhone, it says it is sending a verification email, but it never arrives. Any way around this. Her phone and iPad seem to already be in sync .

    When I try to set up my wife's Cloud account after upgrading to Mountain Lion, I click on the "send verification email" box, but the email never arrives. Her iPad and iPhone already seem to sync up in the Cloud, but no storage is being used. Any suggestions on how to get the account on her iMac?

    You mention that a lost ipad can be found from any computer. As a relative computer novice, I didn't know this. How would I go about carrying out such a search?
    I don't think I'd use the find friends app. My concern is to find a lost or stolen ipad.

    As Roger said, iCloud does not support external POP accounts.
    However, you can configure your Max to directly receive your Yahoo! email by following these instructions:

    If i make a chart in numbers it wont push to cloud. if i inport a chart  to the clould off my pc, it wont push to numbers. data is on in i cloud. mail and calender works. just not numbers. Have ununstalled and installed twice, still wont work

    The desktop/Mac OS X versions of the iWork apps have not been updated to take advantage of iCloud yet. In the meantime you can go to iCloud.com, sign in & click the iWork icon where you can upload & download files. You could also try e-mail or Dropbox.

    Don't spend a lot of time trying to change it. It's an iCloud problem that's happened before, and when it happened in August it went back to the correct colors in a few days. Just be careful when you add new items to the calendar to use the right calendar (even if the color is wrong), otherwise you'll have things out of synch when the correct colors come back.
