My Comcast e-mail now only works with Windows Internet Explorer-is this a Microsoft/Comcast collaboration to get people to switch to Explorer?

Firefox opens the Comcast e-mail window and inbox is visible,. but you can't open the e-mails. Their Customer service told me I have to use Explorer, which does indeed work. Also, Explorer scales the page automatically to full size.
I really don't want to switch to Explorer unless I absolutely have to, so when is this issue going to be resolved?

It sounds like your Wi-Fi network is working if your desktop works with it, we just need to get the Wi-Fi on your iPhone and iPad connected to it. I found a couple of resources to help with not being able to connect to Wi-Fi on an iOS device.
I recommend following the steps in this tutorial first (the steps should work on the iPhone and iPad):
Join a network

If you are still having trouble connecting to Wi-Fi, follow the steps in this article (you can skip any steps you have already taken):

I've just updated OS to 10.10.1 and Finder keeps trying to open and then closes every 2 seconds with the message Finder is not Available. If Safari is opened full window it immediately closes and will only work with window smaller than maximum.

D20 now only available with Windows and SATA...??

As of this morning, the Lenovo Thinkstation D20 on the US site is only available with Windows and SATA hard drives. It used to have SAS drives and DOS available.
They may just be low on inventory, or maybe... ?

Kind of funny you mention this as a few of my team members and I were digging through the CTO site today. Considering the crazy number of various parts/options that we have qualified for the S/C/D 20 platforms, there are a ton of omissions on the CTO site. I know they pull some various options from time to time because of inventory or end of life concerns, but the configs that were showing up today as available really made no sense. Unfortunately there's not a lot I can do from my side to get this resolved other than raise the complaint. I'll see what I can do though.

Well, my iPhone 3GS (iOS 5.1.1, which it's been running for a long time) suddenly stopped receiving pushed e-mail from my Yahoo e-mail account (the only one of my accounts that offers push) over WiFi at home. Now Push only works when I'm on 3G. It used to work on both. Any ideas?

- restarted the phone?
- made a hard reset? Simultaneously press the sleep/wake and the home buttons for 10-15 seconds until the device reboots (ignore the shutdown screen).
- force quit the app? When in the app, press on the sleep/wake button until the shutdown screen appears, then press the home button until the app quits.

I just switched to Road Runner (with Time Warner) and downloaded the free security they offer. Now I can't get my AOL email to load. It does work with Windows Internet Explorer. Suggestions?

Boot Camp won't make a Windows XP driver disc, OS X disc only works with Win7

First time Mac user. Just got a new Macbook Pro.
I have successfully installed Windows XP on the Mac using Boot Camp. But I need the driver disc. The right mouse button doesn't even work and Windows is impossible to navigate without that. The disc eject button does not work, one has to eject a disc using laborious menus. Very frustrating.
When I run Boot Camp it only has the option to make a Windows 7 driver disc. I don't see any way to make a driver disc for Windows XP.
Everywhere I have searched on the Net the information says to put the OS X Leopard disc in the drive when WinXP is running and it will automatically install drivers. When I try that a window comes up saying it only works with Windows 7.

The retail OS X 10.6.3 DVDs unlike your OEM DVD does have a complete set of drivers for $29 w/o having to deal with questionable bitorrent.

Your Mac has Intel Thunderbolt and you don't see Apple doing backward compatibility. You can't run 10.5 on new Mac. So yes it comes with those limitations, but XP is also 20x more vulnerable, IE9 is more secure and XP has not kept up with the latest hardware, besides which I don't see a place or need for a 32-bit OS, any platform today.

Microsoft Mail not working with Windows 7 & MS-Office 2010

I have a client who is using Microsoft Mail for their internal mailing. They have been using MSoffice ( Outlook) for this purpose for last so many years.
We have found that Microsoft Mail does not work with Windows 7 and MS Office 2010 combination.
When you try to configure it given error 0x8004110.
When we tried with different versions, we found that if you install Office 2007 it works. If you try Office 2007 and then Office 2010 and remove Office 2007, it still work. But Then it is treated as 2 installations of Msoffice on the same computer.
I need to know whether this is right from Licensing perspective. We 'll be using single copy of office but it may seems as we have installed Office 2007 & office 2010 on same computer.

Windows 7 is a supported operation system for Office 2010. At what exactly point will you get the specific error?
Is that a Click-To-Run version of Office 2010? By default, for MSI-based version of Office, when you upgrade existing Office 2007 to Office 2010, the earlier version of Office will be removed:

ExpressCache not working with Windows 10

I've searched the forum and have not found an answer to this. After upgrading to windows 10, ExpressCache has been removed and is no longer working. Where can I download the program (ExpressCache) for windows 10 so I can re-enable it? Everything else seems to be working fine. Thanks,Brian

Dave, since Im a glutton for punishment, I went ahead and re-installed the windows 10 upgrade to give your solution a try. I want to first point out that the SSD drive was not showing up in explorer like that post suggested for that person, it was simply not working, but still hidden as it should be. Windows 10 removed the folder with all the files for ExpressCache from my C: Drive, yet it was still installed via the control panel. Also the file provided in the link did not work either. It stated that it was not compatible with my version of windows and did not update. So that only works with Windows 8. I tried something else that ultimately didn't work either. I copied the ExpressCache folder from Windows.old to Windows 10 which at least allowed me to uninstall ExpressCache. I found the ExpressCache install from the SWSETUP folder and Windows would not allow me to install it. I appreciate your help so far and hopefully we can get this resolved. Thanks,Brian

Forget it - you may get it to work if you have a suitable version of Acrobat. Remember PM was pronounced dead in 2004.
1. PM7 on Win7 or 8 is a disaster waiting to happen.

Can't sign in using any 3rd party email client with my iCloud account on any Mac or any other Mac. My iCloud will only work with Mail.app. All the clients I tried work perfectly well as long as I sign in with somebody else's iCloud account. But mine won't work no matter the client (Postbox, Unibox, Airmail...) and no matter the computer.
I can access my account on iCloud.com, but I can't use email clients without getting error messages prompting me to check my password or login.
I was able to use those clients in the past but a couple of months ago I got logged out of Airmail and the issue started just like that!
I tried every possible mail server settings including the following:
IMAP information for the incoming mail server
Server name: imap.mail.me.com
SSL Required: Yes
If you receive errors when using SSL, try using TLS instead.
Port: 993
Username: The name part of your iCloud email address (for example, emilyparker, not [email protected])
Password: Your iCloud password
SMTP information for the outgoing mail server
Server name: smtp.mail.me.com
SSL Required: Yes
If you receive errors when using SSL, try using TLS instead.
Port: 587
SMTP Authentication Required: Yes
Username: Your full iCloud email address (for example, [email protected], not emilyparker)
Password: Your iCloud password

Those are the correct settings, and they work with any email client that supports Imap.
Try again.
