Connect the iPod to your computer and look at the storage used by the various categories as shown in the colored bargarph in iTunes.

  • Since the update my imap mail account does not work

Well, it still owrks on my imac but not on iphone or ipad.  Settings are exactly the same on all three.  I deleted the mail account on the ipad and ipone and re-set them up but still doesnt work.  All I get is the spinner and mail hangs forever eventually it says that the mail server is not responding and to verify that Ive entred the correct account info in the mail settings.  I have! Several times....
Thank you in advance for any insight that is offered

You don't input the information in manually for iCloud mail. It is automatically set up for you when you sign into iCloud via System Preferences and choose the Mail checkbox. Sign out of iCloud or deselect Mail in iCloud preferences. Open Mail's preferences and choose accounts tab. If iCloud account still exists in the list, delete it. Sign back into iCloud or check the box for mail. The account will be auto created for you.

  • Mail Accounts syncing not working

When I got my iPhone I originally setup access to one of my mail accounts directly on the device, so never came across this problem. When I recently set iTunes to "Sync selected Mail accounts" and added my other accounts, I came across some problems.
First of all, I got the "iTunes could not sync mail accounts to the iPhone… because an error occurred remapping record identifiers."
I got around this by painstakingly adding only 1 account at a time, then syncing, then adding another account, then syncing, etc.
I've kept "Sync selected Mail accounts" checked, but now every so often when I sync my iPhone (by docking it) I'll lose ALL my mail settings on the device. Of course, I don't usually find this out until I'm away from my computer and try to use Mail on the iPhone
Has anyone else come across this problem (disappearing Mail settings?) or a fix?
I've already tried restoring the iPhone, but this problem persists.
For now, I am configuring Mail manually on the iPhone and leaving mail accounts syncing in iTunes off.

Check Damon's response in this thread with instructions for resetting the sync history on your Mac.

If this is successful, and the email account settings for selected email accounts are successfully transferred to your iPhone, you can deselect this option. The sync process for email account settings is in one direction only - from your computer to your iPhone. Unless a change is made to the settings for an account on your computer that you want reflected on your iPhone, there is no reason to continue to sync email account settings every time you sync.

  • My iCloud mail account is not working.

I checked the settings and confirmed the password.  Then I got a message that the Incoming Mail Server can't be blank.   However, it is greyed out and I can't change it.  Any ideas?
I read somewhere on the net that someone deleted their iCloud mail account and recreated it and that worked for them.  I can't delete mine though.

Duh! Stupid me.  I tried my new Apple password and now its working.

  • Deleting mail account does not completely remove all of its data from iPhone

    Hi
I'm using iPhone 5S, iOS 8.1.3. I used a number of email accounts on the built-in Mail app and recently deleted one Gmail account. I thought that all its data will be removed from the iPhone, however, when I used the Spotlight Search, I found that the iPhone still retains some of the account's draft email. So I tried to add back the account to the Mail then delete it once again, but the draft email is still there, although these draft emails no longer exist in the actual Gmail account. I tried resending them but only ended up with sent mail that also refuses to get deleted (still found them on Spotlight) after deleting the Gmail account. Is there any way to remove these useless mail to free up space?

    This indicates corrupt files.
    A restore should resolve.

After I logged in again icloud was not able to create mail and notes. I added an account manualy in the mail , an wonder oh wonder , everything was back again :-) thank you

  • Mail search not working, at all

Mail search is not working AT ALL for me.  0 results for things that should have hundreds of results.  Have tried most of the suggestions here already - repaired permissions, deleted envelope index files, rebuilt mailboxes, etc.
Just broken.  Also, these "support communities" seem to be a downgrade from the old discussion boards IMO.  Harder, not easier, to find info.

I am having the same problem, I can search last names and sometimes get a couple of results to show up, though for the most part I get nothing, even when I know the word is in the subject line and email address.

  • C3 did not work with all the types of routers

    Hi!
My problem is with the C3 (Hungarian 03.36 Vodafone), that the e-mail program is not working with all the wlan routers. My home router is Asus WL-520GC and with it I get communication error, but with a Linksys or a Tplink router everything is good. How can it be?
(I ve heard it from outhers too)
    (both WPA2personal and DHCP)
I tried it with factory settings, but same problem: communication error.
    Pls help!

Solved: I had to upgrade the firmware of the router.
    It works

  • S60 v3 fp2 destinations not working in all applica...

    hi all
I have an n79 and i have noticed that the new access point prioritization using the destinations feature  in s60 v3fp2 does not work in all the device applications. e.g. the share online app does not see the internet destination but my access points (3G, WLAn...) so I need to manually select the access point. Is this an n79 bug?
    rrgards

I too am frustrated by this.
It works great with new apps (such as the internal Web Browser).
*some* other apps seem to show a "default" access point, which actually uses the "destination" group you "mark as default" in the connectivity menu
    both these are great.
Then there's other apps which only show individual APs and no "default".
I struggle to see why the implementation couldn't have made a virtual AP available via the "old" interface (for old apps). There are already 3rd party apps that do this, including many VPN clients as well as "psiloc connect" (see http://connect.psiloc.com/ ) -- but sadly that isn't available on FP2.
There's so much about the N96 that's "nearly there" but so frequently is let down by a lack of consideration of the end user experience. Examples include
     - battery life (could have been 30-40% more for the sake of ~1mm)
     - Access points (as above)
     - removal of wifi client
     - sluggishness of response

    Sorry for the delay...
I did what you've told me, new account and manually copied my files from Time Machine. I had lots of permissions problems, but at the end, almost everything is in order... It seems it had to be with some of the Apple Preferences, but I can't be sure, as most of them were dumped to the trash can.
I still don't have my Mail Rules back, unfortunately, although I did goggled some. It is a pity, as I had around 30 or 40 of them, getting my mail in order to each of its mailboxes, but it is a small price as the rest doesn't show the before syntoms.
    Thanks for the help, anyway!!

  • Sync says it is working, but Mail account is not imported to iPhone

So I this problem with syncing my basic mail account with my iPhone. It is an IMAP mail server account and it works fine on my Macbook. I have the setting in iTunes showing that the sync should include the one mail account on the Macbook (it is checked off).. When I performa sync, it says that it is syncing and I do no get any error messages.. but once done, the account does not show up on my iPhone.
I have had to add the account manually to iPhone in the meantime. But my mobile me account is not working as I would expect and I think it comes down to the sync not happening correctly in the first place.
Any idea what could be causing this issue with me not syncing properly?

What is the issue with the MobileMe account?
Try the Advanced option on the Info tab which allows you to replace email accounts on the iPhone with email accounts from your MacBook.
If that does not work try Resetting the Sync History from the iSync applications preference window, as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TA23030
