Leaving an iPod in a car is a bad idea, aside from the theft potential. The extremes of heat and cold that a car can face can damage the internal hard disk. Remember, an iPod classic is not like the newer devices: it is like your older desktop computer with a physically spinning hard disk, with reading heads floating microns above the disk. Heat and cold creates expansion and changes tolerances.
I'd suggest bringing the iPod inside, and leaving it inside for at least 24 hours to let it come to temperature equilibrium. Try that first.
Your response didn't address the other side of the equation: the iTunes you sync to. Have you updated iTunes recently or any other component? Install any drivers? Change the port where you plug in the iPod? Install any new security software, such as antivirus, that wasn't present when it was last able to synch?

My Digital Copy won't transfer to my iPad

I bought A Bug's Life on Blu-ray that included a digital copy. I "purchased" the digital copy in iTunes using the included code. The movie works and plays fine in iTunes, but it won't transfer over to my iPad at all. I have the latest iTunes and iOS versions and I have set iTunes to automatically sync all movies, all of which do, except for A Bug's Life. I tried selecting the movie and going to Advanced under the menu, but creating a iPad version is not an option. Has anyone lse had this problem or a similar problem? How did you resolve it/can it be resolved? Thanks in advance.

It may not be resolvable. You need to read the license you agreed to when you bought it. You may very well only be allowed to use it on the computer it's bought on, not transfer it to another device.
I know when I bought the copy of Star Trek 2009, paid more for the digital version, only to find out that it's only valid on one computer and one digital device and if I ever want to move it I have to call a phone number and get permission to move it. :-/
I handle my digital video files differently now.
Your only recourse may be to read the agreement, if you should transfer it to a device but it won't let you, call the contact number and see what they can do for you.

It depends on what data you mean. Contacts? Pictures? If you have an Android phone, you most likely have a Gmail account. If your contacts are stored in your Gmail account, it's quite simple to sync them to your iPhone by setting up a CardDAV account:

Your carrier may also be able to do the transfer.
Pictures are going to be easier to transfer to a computer and then to the iPhone.
How are you already syncing your data to your iPad? The same procedures should work with an iPhone.

mmchisholm - just so you know you're not alone, I too am having the exact same issue as of latest software update bundle. Have to manually add each photo until Apple issues solution or minor software update.

If its the same email your both accessing, there are settings on the computer email which allow you to get the emails on several devices. (email settings, advanced tab). I don't know the email program your using but they are all kinda similar in the settings section.
If its different emails but same provider, check the settings above for each email. Can you send emails from your email?

Well i wouldn't see why your photo's, videos and music would trasnfer. As that is a android device, there is no way to have them transfer over the air to the iphone.
Contacts probably came from google. Your videos and such you would have to move them to PC then to the iphone. Same with your music.

FF 5 running on windows 7 has suddenly stopped allowing access to comcast mail, but this is not a problem under Snow Leopard

I am running the latest version of firefox on a windows 7 laptop and Mac desktop. The windows version was allowing access to comcast email until it suddenly stopped. It won't let me open any email on the summary page or view the entire inbox. Opening firefox in safe mode does not eliminate the problem. I have no problem accessing comcast mail on the MAC or with Chrome, Safari or IE on the laptop.

So you have use the backup and Restore to restore your files from Windows XP to Windows 7 directly?
This should be considered not work.
If you would like to transfer files between Windows XP and Windows 7, you need another tool called Windows Easy Transfer.

Comcast provides/supports a POP account only. Email account mailboxes are not kept synchronized with the server with a POP account. Although it is possible to access a POP account with more than one email client, a POP account is designed to be accessed with a single email client only. If you want your email account mailboxes and messages kept synchronized with the server with each email client used to access the account, you need an IMAP account which Comcast does not provide.
You won't see your Comcast online address book either. The iPad is designed to be synced with a supported address book application on your computer. With some email accounts, you can sync contscts over the air such as with a MobileMe account and with a Gmail account. Comcast doesn't support this either.

I have Vista (don't laugh) and my videos are transferred over when I plug in my phone. They don't open up in Winodws Picture Viewer though.
They are under my Photos, under the date created by the sync. Do a search I'm sure you'll find them.

ones had an issue a bit like that with my 1g Apple TV what fixed it for me was to unpair the computer in the appletv settings and then rebind it

Iphone5 contacts won't transfer through Bluetooth BMW...

I have a 2013 BMW. My iphone 5 will pair just fine, but the contacts will not transfer. I spent about 2 hours at the dealer where they tested their tech's iphone 5's -- all transferred no problem. Took the phone to Apple, got a new phone. That one worked for about 3 weeks and now it won't transfer. AM SO FRUSTRATED. I've re-set my phone, unpaired and repaired my phone...I've done everything possible. Can't figure out what the problem is. Any one else having this issue?

I've got a BMW 318 2009 (September) and iPhone 5 on Vodafone UK.
I actually suspect now that the issue is to do with the number of contacts I have, mostly generated from the Microsoft Exchange Suggested Contacts list which I've noticed results in me having over 1200 contacts in total.
I'm doing a test later in the car as I've now disabled the extra suggested contacts so they're not syncing onto my phone. Hopefully my guess is correct - I've now only got 850 contacts so I think there's more chance it will cope and sync them all to the BMW.
I'll let you know how I get on though!

Music won't play on computer & most won't transfer to ipod..

It's a long story but I have a new laptop (see spec below) and a new ipod (40gig, click wheel). I've transferred my music from dvd backup to the new laptop and managed to transfer over most of it to the new ipod. However only about half of the music has transferred over (and I haven't purchased that much)..also the library on the new laptop won't play any music on the computer or allow me set up new playlists. The computer is showing over 11gb of music, the ipod is showing 4.82gb. I'm getting an error message that says that "some of the songs in the music library including (names a song) were not copied to the ipod because they could not be found. I also got a message to say I wasn't authorised to play particular tracks (the ones I have purchased) on the computer but I don't know how to authorise them...I'm sure I'm doing something really dumb...can anyone help? You may need to de-authorize and re-authorize the computer again. However, the exclamation point next to the tracks means the music file is not located in the default iTunes library. You need to steer the iTunes program to locate its library to the folder where your transferred music is kept. The iTunes library can any folder you choose beside the default location in the My Music folder in My Documents.
