My company font isn't included in my pdfs

I just bought the PDF pack and converted my first Word document to a PDF, but it didn't take into account that some of the text was Earwig Factory, so my invoices won't look right   Can anyone help?  I'm converting over the Internet, not on my computer, does that make a difference?  And how can I get it to convert my company font please?  Krgds Deb.

Hi mojogirl,
Your assumptions are definitely correct. While ExportPDF has a vast library of fonts, it doesn't include every font that's available on the market. So, it's understandable that you might have font substitution with your nifty font (I checked it out--it's neat!). So, your options are to get an Acrobat subscription instead of the ExportPDF subscription--when you Save As to Word from within Acrobat, it will have access to the fonts on your system. You can download a free 30-day trial of Acrobat from www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html.
Another (less expensive) option is to disable OCR in ExportPDF as described here: How to disable Optical Character Recognition (O... | Adobe Community. The downside to that approach is that if the PDF doesn't include selectable text (for example, it was created from a scanned document), then your Word document won't have selectable text either.
Let us know how it goes.
Best,
Sara

    Hi Steve Whipple,
    This Link (Acrobat Help | Importing and exporting comments ) seems relevant to your query. Please let me know if it helps you export comments to xfdf file.

  • MySQL isn't included in OS X Server?

    Can someone please confirm if MySQL isn't included in OS X 10.8 Server?
    Is there any official installer from Apple or what should I use?
    Tia,
    /andreas

    Having read all the previous posts on moving away from MySQL, I'd still like to press on with installing MySQL and continue to use it for a bit yet.
    However, I'm really stuck.  I cannot get the new MySQL server to even start.  I've install and updated OS X 10.8.4.  I download and installed MySQL 5.6.12-oxs10.7-x86_64.pkg.  I'm running this on a 3.06GHz Core 2 Duo with 4GB 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM (24-inch Early 2008).
    I followed all the directions (I thought), but when I attempt to launch the MySQL server, nothing happens.
    echo $PATH returns:
    /usr/local/mysql/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/local/bin
    If I try launching using mysqld, I get the following errors:
    2013-07-03 20:27:31 0 [Warning] TIMESTAMP with implicit DEFAULT value is deprecated. Please use --explicit_defaults_for_timestamp server option (see documentation for more details).
    2013-07-03 20:27:31 542 [Warning] Setting lower_case_table_names=2 because file system for /usr/local/mysql-5.6.12-osx10.7-x86_64/data/ is case insensitive

    2013-07-03 20:27:31 542 [Note] mysqld: Shutdown complete
    I'm really confused about that "mysql-bin.index" not found error.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks, Mike

  • Where did the "Stop" button go on the Navigation Bar in ff4? It isn't included in the Customize box. Is there anyway to install the "Stop" button for loading web pages or is this option compeletly gone from Firefox now?

    Just installed upgrade to Firefox 4.0. Where did the "Stop" button go on the Navigation Bar. I checked the Customize dialogue box and it isn't included. Is anyone else missing it? Is there anyway to install the "Stop" button for loading web pages or is this option completely gone from Firefox now? It was a very helpful button and allowed us users to stop a web page and move on if it wasn't what we needed.

    In Firefox 4 by default the Stop, Go and Reload buttons are combined and attached to the right hand edge of the location bar.
    When you are typing in the location bar it will show the Go button. When a site is loading it shows the Stop button. At other times it shows the Reload button.
    If you want separate buttons, right-click on a toolbar and choose Customize, you can then drag and drop the stop or reload buttons and place them elsewhere. If you place them in the order "Reload-Stop" on the right hand edge of the location bar they will be combined again. For more details on customizing the toolbar see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/How+to+customize+the+toolbar

  • How do get outlined fonts to show up in a PDF

    I have created a document in InDesign CS4 using a placed Illustrator CS4 file that includes a logo created with outlined fonts. I get the warningj message "The preset specifies that some fonts are not embedded. This application always imbeds fonts." in the Export Adobe PDF dialogue. The outlined text / logo is not visable in the PDF. The same document with the same link works fine in InDesign CS.

    AaHa, the outlined element is not visible in ID in Overprint Preview. Is that the same as Preview Mode? It is on top of a placed Photoshop image that uses transparency (Multiply). This element was previously a white EPS file created in Illustrator on a MAC ten years ago and I converted it to an AI CS4 file in Windows 7 and then filled with PMS 4485.
    Checking and un-checking Overprint Fill in AI's Attributes Panel makes no difference; Stroke Fill is checked, but grayed out?
    Thanks.

  • How-to get Font weight information while reading a PDF document

    Hello everyone
    it seems that the available tools to read PDF documents from Java don't allow to get font weight informations about the tokens read from PDF.
    I need to know if a character is bold in order to recognize if it could be part of a paragraph's title.
    is there a way to keep this information? (now I'm using PDFBox but it seems to allow only to get the PDF content as plain text, without keeping this kind of font weight info...)
    thanks sincerely a lot
    to anyone who would be so kind to help me
    ;)

    I've already read the wiki and the examples about iText, and also the two free tutorial chapters, but it seems iText doesn't allow to check the font character of a pre-existing PDF document,,it only allows to create document with a specified font but this is not what I needWell, to tell you the truth, I don't do much with PDF, myself, I only believe (from anecdotal evidence) that iText is much better than PDFBox. Have you downloaded it and tried a few things, or just read some of the docu? I am fairly sure that if you designate a font, there is probably a way to retreive this font as well, although not necessarily. Download it and play around a bit.

    You can set up a temporary button (or link, bookmark, etc.) and add the following JavaScript action:
    // Mouse Up script for a temporary button (or bookmark, etc.)
    // Change the font and font size for all text fields in this document
    for (var i = 0; i < numFields; i += 1) {
        var f = getField(getNthFieldName(i));
        if (f.type === "text") {
            f.textFont = font.Helv;
            f.textSize = 9;
    It also sets the font size, but you can remove that line if you don't need to do that.

  • Font problem in reports produced in PDF format

    Dear all,
    All our reports are developed by developer suite 10g (under windows) and deployed on an Application Server 10g (on Linux).
    We had a problem with displaying the arabic letters, but this was solved by following the steps in the metalink Note no 726205.1 for generating arabic pdf reports on unix.
    Now, the problem is that the font used in the reports is ARIAL, but when the reports are displayed (in PDF format) the font is TAHOMA. This font conversion happens in both Arabic and English reports !
    I wonder how can I correct this behaviour.
    Thanks in advance for your time.

    I remember that fonts in PDF generated by Oracle Reports is a big topic and a subject of many Metalink notes (metalink.oracle.com).

  • Font Rendering issues in export to PDF-SSRS

    Hi,
    Its a very strange issue,I am facing from last two days.
    I have created a report having text with Gill Sans MT font.I am able to see the text in the mentioned font properly on report server as well as on my development machine.
    Issue occurs when I export the report to PDF, as when i open the report in acrobat reader to view the font of the rendered text,it shows the font as Gill#20Sans#20MT which causes the text rendering up in Arial(default font).
    If I Export from Word document the font is set as GillSansMT i.e name without spaces and text is rendered in correct font.I have installed the required font on both the locations i.e. report server as well as Development environment.
    Thanks & Regards,
    AS

    Hi Anand Sardesai,
    Since the Gill Sans MT font is not been installed on the production server at first. Please make sure the font is installed correctly and that font embedding is granted font. If the referenced font is not installed on the report server, the resulting PDF
    file might not contain the correct mappings and might not display correctly when viewed.

    Alternatively, I recommend you reboot the server try to resolve the issue. There is a similar issue for your reference:

    When someone responds to my original email, and I "reply" back again, sometimes my original email is not included, and I need it to be.  How can I correct this?  Thanks.

    I've had the same problem for more than a year with every Reply or Forward message I've been sending and today I found the solution! And it's really funny.
    The message is always there but you can't see it because the font color is white! So white letters on white background = blank message. I think the settings must have defaulted to white during a software update.
    The solution is very easy: go to Mail - Preferences - Fonts & Colors. Check the box that says "Color quoted text" and then choose three diferrent colors in the boxes below. Enjoy.
    P.S. Make sure to also check the "Include all of the original message text" option under Mail - Preferences - Composing
