    Steps to be followed:
    1. Use the unlock code posted above to enter the BIOS
    2. Disable all passwords that are enabled
    3. If asked for current password - type the unlock code
    4. For new password, just press ENTER key
    5. Repeat the same for verify password column.
    6. Then leave the BIOS by saving & exit option to save the changes.
    Troubleshooting:
    Incase if the Password doesn’t work please try a Hard Reset as follows.
    1. Shut down the notebook
    2. Unplug the AC Adapter and then remove the battery
    3a Hold down the Power button for 30 seconds
    4. Plug in the Power/AC Adapter (Leave the battery out for the moment) & Start the Notebook
    5. If you now see a password box, Please type the same Password I shared before and press enter

    I'm helping someone that changed and forgot their laptop password. We're getting the request to Enter Admin Password or Power on Password. Not knowing the password, it comes up with System Disable 50757764. Any help with the password needed would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    I suggest trying the update again after an hour or two.  Sometimes, the notice that an update is available comes an hour or two before the developers actually sends the revised app out to be downloaded.

  • Caps Lock Won't Disengage - Cannot Enter Admin Password

    I was using email when my Caps lock key would not longer disengage. Believing that I had hit a combination of keys that had somehow bypassed the caps lock key and locked caps, I restarted.
    Restart was slow and included a grey bar scale on the bottom of the boot screen that I have not seen before.
    After restart, the log on screen came up in 'Safe Boot' mode.
    My password is an all lower case sequence and my caps key is still locked on restart (reboot now?)

    The 'shift' key was physically stuck. I was unprepared for this as I never eat or drink at the computer. But, it seems to have something in there regardless.

  • Can't enter admin password

    I have just updated to Mavericks. When I am prompted to enter my administrator password I cannot type in the username or password box.
    I can delete the preloaded username information but cannot type
    The username and password box get a blue glow when I click into them, but don't accept any text
    I tried using the software keyboard but it doesn't recognise I am in a text field. Not a hardware problem
    I can sign in as a user, it is only the admistrator sign-in I have a problem with.
    I tried restarting twice to no effect and downloaded the latest OSX updated

    I have found that you need to be the administrator. If you have already deleted the administrator account and created a new one, and the problem still persists, I'll give you the same advice I was given, reinstall your current operating system. Mine was having this problem on lion. I have not yet reinstalled lion however, so I don't know if this is a 100% fix.

    Hold the lock and home buttons untill you see the apple logo. This is called a hard reset and is the equivilant of pulling the battery out and putting it back in.
    Also if you have never set a voicemail pin the phone is asking you to set one.

  • Keep getting a message to enter network password-won't go away.

    I don't know if this is a mozilla problem, a windows problem, or a gmail problem. I just know that for the first time today, and in a span of 20 minutes, it has popped up on my screen 60 times. Annoying. I keep putting passwords in it, but none of them work. Top says Enter Network Password. Server smtp.gmail.com. Then User Name which is jennyjank, password, then save this password in your password list. Then it gives me an option to hit OK or Cancel.     It sounds like there is a persistent network check somewhere. Is this happening only in webmail?
    Do you use a firewall or an antivirus that has a filter for gmail smtp servers?
    Please also try noscript or ad block plus to detect if there is a script on the page you can stop temporarily until the source is found.
