My computer and search bar open up, freeze, then close

When I open up My Computer it freezes, says "This PC (not responding)" at the top bar and then closes, then I can use the computer like normal. When I try to use the search bar for windows 8 at the top right, my entire computer freezes, however I can still ctrl alt del to restart. This just happened today and it's weird because I can still open up games and play them almost like normal, excluding the general performance decrease I've had over time, however I cannot do any solutions to fix anything because obviously when My Computer doesn't work... you get the idea. Also noticed today Catalyst Control Center: host application instantly says not responding when I start up my computer. Can't fix that because of the My Computer problem stated above. I've had exactly 2 blue screens over the past month which I didn't have before, and I've noticed more and more small things not working anymore, since recently. Constant freezes and lagging when using almost anything. When I tried using the support feature on this website, I have no updates and stuff. I don't know what to do from here other than ask you guys what's wrong. If more information is needed I can say, just ask. Anyone know what's going on here?

I understand that you are experiencing some general performance issues, including some freezes, failed boots and blue screens. I am happy to help with this. Based on what you describe, I would suggest you look at checking your system for malicious software, possible driver related conflicts, as well as unnecessary applications at start up. The address bar and search bar freeze when I open a PDF document in Firefox 4. I have Adobe Reader X installed.
This means you cannot type anything in the address bar for that tab or any other tab until you close that PDF.

Oh it was a problem with Adobe's Plug-in. As per [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/804580#answer-167069 MrKoffee's answer ], I noticed that I already had Adobe Reader X installed but nevertheless I went to adobe.com to download it again. When I installed it this time, it said "installing updated patch". Went back to Firefox to check and problem solved! :)
Ps. did not need to disable any previous plug-in or even close Firefox.

My husband and I use the same computer. The address and search bar has disappeared from Safari on my desktop but not his. How do I get it back? All I have is the Apple page when I open Safari.

Choose Show Toolbar or Customize Toolbar from the View menu and put it back.

How to Print a interactive report without action button and search bar

I am working on printing an interactive report. If there are 20 columns in that report i need to select some columns for printing. For this purpose i used actions button which is in the search bar of the interactive report. But i do not want to get that Actions button and search bar to get printed in the printing page. Can any one give a solution to sort out my problem

Turn off Private Browsing mode.

Put tabs below the navigation and search bar.

Firefox4 always resets my new toolbars where i placed location bar and search bar.

i disabled GmailManager and toolbars starts appear.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

Do a clean (re)install:
* Download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
* Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
* Don't remove personal data when uninstalling.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
You can initially skip the step to create a new profile, that may not necessary for this issue.

We have some renamed documents, but other documents link to the old names. To solve this I created a Word document with the text : OldDoc is now NewDoc. NewDoc is a hyperlink to NewDoc on the LAN. I then created a pdf from the Word document.
Clicking the link opens NewDoc, as it should, but I would like to close OldDoc after opening NewDoc. I had expected that I could add execution of a menu item (File>>Close), but that only causes Acrobat to "blink", and OldDoc remains open. Apparently the Close command is being carried out on the new document rather than the document in which the command is located.
If I try File>>Exit instead I get a message "Since one of the action [sic] results in closing a doc, the rest of the action will not be executed. Do you want to continue?" Then NewDoc opens. If I click OK, OldDoc closes. If I click Cancel, both remain open. The result is acceptable, but of course the pop-up message is not.
If I reverse the order (close OldDoc, then try to open NewDoc) it just closes OldDoc, as I expected, but I figured it was worth a try since it doesn't work to open NewDoc first.
For what the program cost this simple action should be possible. What am I missing?

Never heard about the crash and that does not sound normal. Be sure to do the updates to Acrobat in case that resolves the issue. You might also check the font settings in the settings file and check to ignore the error if the font can not be embedded and Distiller should use what it considers to be the closest system font.

PDF viewer removes text from tabs and search bars

Often when I open documents in the built-in PDF viewer Firefox freezes for a few seconds and then when it returns to life all the text not associated with a particular webpage is gone. The tabs for the Firefox windows have no text. The search bar has no text. The address bar has no text. The bookmarks bar has no text. If I right click I get a menu with no text. If Firefox opens any windows (such as below when I click "Automatically add") those windows have no text. I have a screenshot of this phenomenon but don't see any way of attaching it. Restarting Firefox only occasionally resolves the issue.
This was happening while I filled out this form and collected the troubleshooting information below (by guessing which textless window buttons did what.)

I've downloaded the most recent version. 14 May 2014 and have two lines of repeating symbols appearing above the URL and search bar. How do I fix?

When I hover over the symbols, I'm prompted "Subscribe to This Page..." This only appeared after the last update. The symbols are the same as appear to the right of the search bar, and all the symbols that now appear in the Open Menu feature.

Sounds like an incompatible extension.
