My computer crashed while I was exporting photos and now it won't let me open that
catalog. It says keeps telling me another application has that catalog open and I need to quit the other copy before it will open it. The problem is I don't know what program has it open or how to close it. Help please! It will let me open my other lightroom catalogs.

Check your catalog folder. You will find a file called catalogname.lrcat.lock in there, which you can delete. Then restart LR.

This message indicates the videos were encoded using codecs for which the current "playback platform" is not currently configured. Either use a third-party media player having the required codecs built into the player or install the required codecs on your system if available.

I need to change my apple email but the only other email I have is my back up one and it won't let me use that

I have found a temporary solution, allowing the previous version of iTunes (v. 11.1.3 (x64) in my case) to be re-installed. It will allow you to re-establish use of iTunes until the Apple software engineers fix the most recent disasterous upgrade (v. 11.1.4). The installer for iTunes free download says when installing "The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail." Go to HD>Library>Receipts - remove the iTunesX.pkg receipt. Drag the iTunes app to the trash.
Repair permissions with Disk Utility - reboot - then try to run the installer.

Hi guys, i just want to ask, why my PPro, doesn't want to start, it only shows the startup and then shows the application with white screen, after that it closes by itself. no error message or anything. it started when my laptop crushed while i exporting the movie. the screen went crazy. so i shut down the laptop. after that my PPro CS3 won't start. i try to uninstall and reinstall, still the same...now i've tried the CS4, but still won't work. still remain the same. what's the problem...can anyone help me?it's been 4 months i tried to solve, but still got nothing. please help me...

ok, the case is, i use Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 before. i was using it doing my personal project, basically only combining .avi video. it's finished, and then i want to export it as a movie. but when it's still rendering, my laptop crushed, the screen went crazy (looked so colorful(u know what i mean?^^)), then i couldn't do anything. so i just shut it down forcefully. since then on, i can't use the PPro anymore. i've tried to reinstall, still the same. the startup screen still appear (the loading of all .prm file), but when the application come in, it directly shuts down. with no error message. i also install the PPro CS4, but still the same...is it my laptop or the PPro?
any info i didn't give you, just ask...

I tried to download from the app store. It will not download. It shows up under "other purchases" but the action button is blank. I have tried to re-download it and it won't let me do that either. Any suggestions?

There is nothing wrong with my iTunes, is more of the App store that I am concerned about. And I've tried the "Authorise this computer" yes it does download when using iTunes, but no luck with App Store. And, yes I am logged onto iTunes when doing purchases.
I find this really fustrating because the App store works fine on my ipod but once it comes to my macbook, it does not download. A few seconds later after I click on an app to download, the pop up message notifies me that the purchase cannot be downloaded.

You have to download and RUN the library updater. Applications folder ==> utilities and double click on the library updater then after it runs launch iPhoto to complete the upgrade

Command, option and escape keys will open the "Force Quit" window when you can close Mail.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.
