I need to know how to re-download my itunes,
If there's any way to do that.
Like, with all my songs on it.

Computer deleted everything from iphone after syncing

i backed up iphone so i could transfer everything to my new iphone 4s. after syncing to iphone 4s everything seemed fine until i synced it to the computer again to add more songs. the computer then deleted all items on the iphone to the previous backup which was 6 months ago! how do i get all my stuff back? have tried restoring from itunes but it only restores to the last backup 6 months ago. i have gone into the back up folder in my mac to try and retrieve the files but it only extracts the last sync as the phone is under the same names from my iphone 3 to my iphone 4s. i can see in the backup folder the time i synced my iphone before i lost everything but don't know how to extract them. the files are under long names such as "82a9272c06438d47bd97a651891a86b80d7ea425" and can't be opened as i don't know what files they are.
does anyone know how to fix this?
i have important notes that ive made that i really need urgently.

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer files/docs/pics.music/etc,.
If you have failed to do this, then it is gone.
You should move your music rom your old computer to your new one.

I need a bit of help.
My old computer died, it was running Windows XP. I've got myself a new computer running Windows 7.
I have a copy of my iTunes folders from my old computer (taken 2 days before it died)
How can I use a new computer without deleting everything on iPod touch?
I've imported all the folders (music, apps etc) into the new computer's iTunes, but when I sync my iPod
I receive a window asking if i want to sync i need to erase and replace with the iTunes library on the computer.
I particularly don't want to do this.
My wife also uses my iTunes for her iPhone.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Make a backup of the iPod by connecting the iPod to the computer and right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and selecting Backup. Then restore the iPod from that backup and sync as necessary.

I have also noticed all my settings won't stay set, example....I removed the check mark from "third party cookies", the when I close Firefox and reopen the check mark is back, also my tool bar has screwed up....can't reset, been having trouble the up grade.

TC was designed to backup your Mac. The TC literature is pretty clear about this:
If your Mac's hard drive has a problem....it will sooner or later....you can use your backup on the TC to rebuild your Mac.
But.....if you move all of your data to the TC from your Mac....you only have one version of that data now, and it is on the TC.
Have you thought about what will happen when....not if....the TC has a problem? Since the only version of your important data was on the TC, and the TC has failed......you lose all of your data.....because you have no backup.
A much better plan would be to add a USB or FireWire hard drive and connect it directly to your Mac. Move the data on your Mac over to the hard drive.
Then, the TC will backup both your Mac and the hard drive. So, you have original data on on one drive and backups on another drive.
That would be a minimum backup plan. Most of us have more than one set of backups.

Hi, do you know if this works if I then want to move my library to a new computer as that is my main intention bacause my old computer hasn't got enough space for me to add new albums so I want to ditch the computer (its got to be about 100 years old and doesn't seem to cope well with modern technology!!) and start using my laptop for my iTunes. I am at the point now where i'm ready to throw both my computer and iPod out the window!!!! I might point out as well that in trying to clear space on my computer I accidently deleted the Bonjour programme which is aparently needed to use the home share option, oops!!!!

Okay so my friend asked me to watch his house while he was away. He told me that I was welcome to use his computer or anything else in there. I went to log on to his iMac, but all the accounts were locked! So I searched for a way to get in (with my phone, online) and I found a process with the following steps:
1. Reboot
2. Hold apple + s down after you hear the chime.
3. When you get text prompt enter in these terminal commands to create a brand new admin account (hitting return after each line):
* mount -uw /
* rm /var/db/.AppleSetupDone
* shutdown -h now
4. After rebooting you should have a brand new admin account. When you login as the new admin you can simply delete the old one and you’re good to go again!
I did not plan on deleting the old one, I just wanted to create a new one. But after following these steps the computer went into setup mode as if it was just being started for the first time out of the box! Please, I really need your help because e has important files on the computer that he did not back up anywhere and I hope I didn't delete everything! He is upset with me already, but said we would be alright if I found a way to fix it. I really need your help, please answer as fast as possible!!

When you saw this dialog box, did you choose "Erase and Sync"?
If you did, your iPhone was erased, then your iTunes Library was transferred to it. If your iTunes Library was empty, your iPhone will be also.
Your previously purchased music, apps, books, and videos are still yours. You just have to download them again.

It sounds like you are trying to upgrade your Mac to a newer version of OS X, after completing a fresh install of Snow Leopard.
If you have already purchased and downloaded OS X Lion and Mavericks, you should be able to find these items in the Purchased section of the Mac App Store.
You may find the steps in this article helpful with finding the items:
