My computer died and I cannot de-activate it...Please HELP...

I had Adobe Premiere 9 on my laptop...Then we bought a new desktop computer and I put it on there..After 2 weeks the new computer died..We took it back and they gave us a new one...Which means that I cannot de-activate that computer and put it on the new new one..(Hope that makes sense)...Called for support and all he would do is charge me $200 to fix it...CRAZY!!! What can i DO? please help.....

You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.
1. Open iTunes on a computer
2. From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."
3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
4. Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".
5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.
After you "de-authorize all" your authorized computers, re-authorize each one as required.
If you have de-authorized all computers and need to do it again, but your year has not elapsed, then contact: Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us.

Documents in my dock are showing up as question marks and I cannot open... please help!!

I save several excel documents on my dock. Today I went to open one of the documents and the files were showing up in my dock as gray question marks. I am unable to open the documents or find them anywhere else on my computer! Please help!!

That may result in losing Dock icons for the Office applications (don't know why it should?) but shouldn't cause document icons in the Dock to disappear.

IPad died and won't open again. Please help

I was using facetime when my iPad died and it won't open again. I charged it and after 15 mins. I tried holding down the home and sleep/wake button for a long time but it didn't work. Shall I bring it to the service center?

Interestingly, I could not SEE the Preview plist file in there when I looked, but when I did a 'find', there it was. Strange eh?
Once deleted, the problem was solved.

Hey people, earlier on i was just generally using my ipad, facebooking and stuff, it was on around half battery, i looked at my tv for a minute, looked back at my ipad, and it was dead! it will not turn back on, no buttons do anything, plugging into itunes does nothing, and charging does nothing!! it has never been dropped, or harmed in any way at all, and im really scared, please help me! any suggestions will be strongly appreciated! thanks

A system Reset cures many ills and takes but a minute to perform:
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.
A Reset does NOT delete apps, photos, movies, music or any other data. A Reset does NOT delete any settings for email, network access, etc.
Also, you might wish to download the 4.2 User Guide. Pay special attention to page 170.

Computer restarted and now iPod won't work, please help!

I've been using my iPod shuffle since September, and there have been no problems, I updated it with the newest software and everything. Then today, I was changing the songs on it, and right in the middle of updating, my computer shut off and restarted. Now my iPod will not work, and iTunes won't restore it (it keeps saying an unknown error occurred (1415)). How can I get my iPod to start working again?

If it is disabled it is pretty safe to assume that the device was locked with a passcode. If it is disabled for this reason you can restore it in "recovery mode" ( unplug the device> power off> hold the HOME button for about ten to fifteen seconds> while still holding the HOME button plug the device in and continue to hold the home button till you see a message in iTunes that says that it has detected an iPhone in recovery mode> hit OK and then Restore iPhone.)
Note: this WILL wipe the device and if you restore from a backup it could restore the passcode lock. If it does repeat the process above and start as new iPhone when it is ready to set up.
Should be good to go form there!

You cannot redownload audiobooks.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.. Copy them from your backup copy of your comptuer.

When I get my new computer, obviously I will download Itunes. My Ipod still has all the music on it and the external hard drive is ok.
I don't want to "erase" or lose any information when I sync with a new itunes that is "empty"
What are the steps? After I download Itunes and set the folder location to my external harddrive what is next? Will Itunes recognize my IPOD? Will it load the music/list from my ipd or external into itunes?
