My computer died and i need my adobe x pro reinstalled
Who can I contact to reinstall my software that I already bought
Hi scottd5419303,
I'm sorry to hear that your computer died. I checked the account tied to the email address/Adobe ID you use to post here in the forums, and don't see any purchases tied to that Adobe ID.
If you've registered your copy of Adobe X Pro, then you should be able to locate your serial number by logging in to your account using the Adobe ID/email address that you used to register the software. You'll need that serial number to activate your software. For more information about locating an Adobe serial number, please see Find your serial number quickly.
Then, you can download Acrobat from this page: Download Acrobat products | Standard, Pro | DC, XI, X
Best,
Sara

How do I sync iPhone to a new computer and not lose all contacts on the phone. The old computer does not work and I Can't sync with it.
Enter one contact in the supported address book app on the new or different computer. This will provide a merge prompt with the first sync for this data, which you want to select. Syncing contacts with a supported address book app on the computer is selected under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.

Old computer died and I am trying to install Illustrator CS5 on new computer.
Last version I had before CS5 was/is Illustrator 10,which has been installed on new computer.
CS5 install says I need CS2,3 or 4 before installing 5, but old computer went directly from 10 to CS5.
How can I repeat this 10 to CS5 install? It does not seem likely that CS6 was upgraded from version 10. You might want to check your purchase history in your Adobe account to see if there is some missing link in the chain of purchases you made.
You can always try contacting Adobe support thru chat to see if they can find information or otherwise assist you in this matter.

My itunes aacount was on my home computer that me and my brother both used. The computer died and we will need to buy a new one. We thought that if we just logged into our account from my laptop all the music would be there, it's not. Can anyone help us?
Go to the iTunes Store and select "Purchased" from the Quick Links side bar on the right. Go through all the tabs to download again for free

my iphone is disabled and locked due to my 2 year old pressing too many numbers on my lock screen, but my computer had died and I need to sync it to open it and use my phone. Can I sync it on a new computer, or how can I get it to work and open again as I have text messages and EVERYTHING on my phone I need.
Sorry, just getting back. Since it is a used phone, you may have to contact the prior owner to see if they cleared their Apple ID and passcode. You could not force it into recovery mode? It sounds like it is still locked with someone's passcode. This may not help but I will link it here anyway: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141

My printer died and I need a printer that is compatable with OS 9.1/9.2. Some printers say they are compatible with OS 9.1/9.2 but do they need a driver or is it included with the install disk that comes with the printer?
As long as the printer is accurately described as being compatible with OS 9.1/9.2, if it needs to have software (such as drivers) installed that software should either be included (usual) or downloadable from the net(usually from the manufacyrer's website).
Not all non-Apple printers need drivers installed. Some, such as many Postscript ones that connect via ethernet, are quite comfortable using the LaserWriter 8 printware that's part of OS 9. Some of those, though, may need to have a model-specific PPD (Postscript Printer Description) installed, a small document that informs the printware of the capabilities of the printer. -
I performed a time machine backup without plugging my labtop into a power source. My computer died and all the settings were changed, ie the clock and date were changed back to 2001. So I tried to restore my computer using a previous time machine backup. (which I now know was wrong). However, when time machine tried to restore it said there was not enough room to do a backup. It seems that it did a half backup because some essential files such as system profiler are now missing. Can I undo this restore...? What can I do to fix this
You need to do a full system restore, per Time Machine - Frequently Asked Question #14.
If that sends a message, please note the exact wording. -

My computer died and I have a new one. How do i Authorize my new computer to synch the content of my iPod?
Authorization
iTunes Store- Authorize or deauthorize your Mac or PC.
In iTunes you use the Authorize This Computer or De-authorize This Computer option under the Store menu in iTunes' menubar. For Windows use the ALT-S keys to access it. Or turn on Windows 7 and 8 iTunes menus: iTunes- Turning on iTunes menus in Windows 8 and 7. -
Hi, I'm an ipod newbie, and unsure of what product i have-i believe it's an ipod nano, but can't seem to find any info on itunes that will identify my product.
how do i move ipod nano music to a new Windows 7 computer? My old computer died and when i try to sync to itunes on my new Windows computer, it says it will erase what's on the ipod. I can't seem to de-authorize the old computer (it's been recycled). Does this mean I have to start all over and read in my CD's into itunes? seems very inflexible/inelegant...
thanks for your help, sorry if this question has already been answered before! Is there no ANSWER TO THIS PROBLEM?

I had an HP laptop with Itunes on it and kept my library on an external hard drive. I had a 160gb classic Ipod.
My computer died and i am buying a new one (mac is out of budget)
When I get my new computer, obviously I will download Itunes. My Ipod still has all the music on it and the external hard drive is ok.
I don't want to "erase" or lose any information when I sync with a new itunes that is "empty"
What are the steps? After I download Itunes and set the folder location to my external harddrive what is next? Will Itunes recognize my IPOD? Will it load the music/list from my ipd or external into itunes?
Thanks in advanceThe following user tip is worth checking through:
Recovering your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device -
I have an old ipod (it's the very thin oblong one in purple, the one before the one that does video) and want to know how to get everything off it and into my iTunes library. My old computer died and the original library was lost, so don't have any of the content saved anywhere else. I now have an iPhone 5S and listen to music on that, so want to be able to listen to things from the old ipod too.
Can anyone help please?
Thanks very much
JaneApple normally does not get involved in handling lost objects like this. Since a real name is not installed it will be much more difficult.
You can try contacting Apple support at the US number, assume you are US going to BWI from the listing: http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57 and explain the situation and see if they offer any suggestions. -
My computer crashed and I need to reset up my phone. I do not have a backup. Iphone 3 running software Version 4.2.1
After researching this, I understand that I will need to reload iTunes on a new computer, deactivate the prior computer and authorize the new computer with iTunes. I can then restore any apps and music purchased through iTunes. (Insert Question 1 Here.) Then Sync the phone with the new account, taking care to do it manually so as not to overwrite the information on the phone. This should restore the apps and music to my phone. (Insert Question 2 Here.) This process will not restore photos (Insert Question 3 Here.) I would like to over write my current phone calendar (start fresh remove all appointments) and have it sync with a different iTunes. (Insert Question 4 Here) .
Am I forgetting anything or misunderstanding anything? Thank You!
Question 1: Apple help states that you can download previous purchases directly to phone with iOS4.3.3. Then later states that iOS 5 or later is required for iPhone (CDMA Model). ON this page http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519 I am still running Version 4.2.1 on my iPhone 3. Will this cause difficulty with restoring apps and music (purchased through iTunes) to my phone?
Question 2: What happens to data stored in the apps within the phone? Like password information stored in Splash ID, Files Stored in Air Sharing, or photos stored in a separate app (not the standard photo library)?
Question 3: Will the photos in my iPhone standard library be deleted when I sync? Does anyone know of a way to save them other than emailing them to the computer, prior to syncing?
Question 4: Is it possible to have my calendar and contacts sync at my office computer and have the other items sync to my personal home computer? How does that affect my restore process? I want to ensure the contacts are NOT deleted, but I want the calendar to be overwritten and start fresh. The software update process does not touch any user data or settings. Fact is, merely updating your software should not have deleted your contacts. Something else is going on here. First of all, the only signed firmware available for your phone is iOS 4.3. So, how were you able to update to iOS 4.2.1, since that is no longer available from Apple? First thing done when you update software is an iPhone backup. Included in that backup are your contacts. Connect your phone, iTunes running, DO NOT SYNC, right-click your phone in the left device pane & select "Restore from Backup". Select the backup made when you started to update your phone. Note: this will also install iOS 4.3 on your phone.

I have burned numerous cd's onto my old computer. Many of these songs cannot be purchased on Itunes (Garth Brooks for example). My old computer died and now I can't transfer these songs from my ipod onto my new computer. How can I retreive my data?
What options do you have enabled from under your iPod's Summary and Music tabs for syncing preferences?

Since upgrading my Intel iMac to 10.6.8 a few days ago, it is slow to go to sleep. After clicking on sleep, (or using Opt/Command/Eject), it takes between 20 and 30 seconds to go to sleep. Same problem when shutting it down. Restart is still as fast
