My computer doesn't work

Hi, when i turn on my computer, some message comes and says that ''the last attempt to resume the sustem from its previous location failed. Attempt to resume again'' then it is said to ''use the arrow keys to highlight your choice'' but the keyboard doesn't work and I've changed the keyboard to another one but no one worked. So this is my problem, hope anyone can help me !!!!!

It's probably that your Keychain password is not the same as your login password. If you configured your computer to log you in automatically, you may not have used your login password in so long you forgot it.
There is no way to retrieve the "login" Keychain password, but you can reset the Keychain from the Preferences menu: select it in the Keychain Access menu and select "Reset My Default Keychain". This will create a new, empty Keychain but the old one will be saved should you ever remember its password.
The result of this is that you will have to supply passwords for everything that requires it, since without your Keychain they will no longer automatically fill themselves. However, once you supply them and store them in your new Keychain, they will be remembered.

Last month, the software is deactivated and asked me to reinstall it, however, the serial number I have doesn't work anymore. The computer is still the same, operation system is also the same. Itunes on new computer doesn't work

Just setb up a new Imac and Itunes doesn't work. Says it is because it was copied from a previous Itunes. If want to download just do so, but I don't get an option at all.

Check to make sure that iTunes is up to date. Alternatively, you could create a new iTunes library and then import the media that is already on the iMac. The articles below will assist you further.

The keyboard of my computer doesn't work

**** apple community, i have a very serius problem with my macbook.
Today, i iniciated my computer to start working as usual, but i discovered that my computer do not recognize the keyboard or the trackapd that are attached to it. These are not external devices, they are built in my computer. Also, my macbook tells me that she can not find a bluetooth keyboard/mouse. My Macbook is normal macbook model mid 2009, with OS X (Lion) 10.7.5.
Does anybody know how to fix this?

So who you're talking to here is a peer to peer network of Apple users.
That said if your keyboard was failing, the power button is integrated into the circuit of the keyboard itself. So it wouldn't be surprising that the power button circuit would fail as well over time.
Normally a repair depot will replace the entire upper case and that's what's probably so expensive. However your Apple store should be able to preform a "Depot Repair" which would be a flat $300.
It is possible to buy a new keyboard for around $30 (Price for a 2011 13".) but the replacement is massively labor intensive. Everything has to come out of the MBP, the keyboard back light has to be carefully peeled away. There are over 80 #0000 Phillips screws that have to come out, the new keyboard carefully fitted and 80 screws put back.
Don't hold me to the 80 screws, I did try to count them but gave up and the count appears different depending on the keyboard.
I've done 3 so far!

Sending multitrack Project from FCP to STP on another computer doesn't work

I attempted to search the forums but can't find my specific problem mentioned. I apologize if I overlooked it!
I am attempting to send a Soundtrack Pro Multitrack Project from Final Cut Pro 6.01 to Soundtrack Pro 2.01 on another computer. When I do, the video comes through fine but the audio fails to transfer over.
Here's what I did:
First I open the Final Cut Project, highlight all the clips in the sequence to send and click "Send to Soundtrack Pro MultiTrack Project". I select all options including the "Fully Rendered Video" Option. This project opens up great in Sound Track Pro on the original computer. In Soundtrack Pro I "save as" and make sure I select "Collect Audio Files", "Collect unused audio files", & "Collect Video File". As far as I have read, this should be all I need to make sure all of the audio and video clips transfer together with the STP file.
However, when I place this folder (including the media files) on a external hard drive and transfer it on to our other computer (set up for audio recording and editing) and open it up in STP I get no audio. The clips visually transfer and all the clip lengths match up with the video, however there is no waveform showing. A straight line at 0db is all that shows up. I check the clips in the bin and they show the same file size as on the first computer. When I select an audio clip and take a look at the actions tab it shows the name of the clip and under it it says "insert silence" (which was not there on the original computer). When I de-select the insert silence the audio still does not play (the straight line on the waveform disappears). I try deleting the "insert silence" action and the same thing happens.
I have tried doing this operation mulitple ways with the same result. Am I doing something wrong? The only thing I can think of is the file starts out on OSX 10.4.11 and is transfered over to leopard 10.5. I just tried doing the reverse operation (creating the file from the audio computer and sending it to the video computer) and everything works fine. No idea what this means. I need this to work the other way around so I can begin the extremely intensive audio work on this film while our editor continues the video edits so thank you very much for any help that you can lend me. It is greatly appreciated.

Could be a difference in OS's causing the problem, but I can't say for sure. You could try using the OMF export option instead. I almost guarantee it will work.

Officejet Pro 8600 Plus: Scan to computer doesn't work with Win8.1 [solved: problem with USB3 Boost]

Since I installed 8.1 (pro), I can't use my 8600 Pro software for scanning to the computer (via USB). It looks like there is no communication with the printer as for the scanning software, but printing works as usual.
Tried to use the HP Printer Assistant: when I click the "Scan a Document or Photo" button, I get a "Scanner Unreachable" message. Also after a restart of the printer.
When I try to scan from Photoshop, the system first finds the printer but then fails to connect to it.
HP Update says that my system is up to date.
HP Print And Scan Doctor 4.2 finds and shows the printer on the Welcome panel and seems to be able to communicate with it, to a point.
It gives me a "Driver error" (sorry if is not called so in English--it takes over my keyboard language, which is French and says "Erreur du pilote") and states that no communication could be established between the scan driver and the printer, and that I should reboot the computer...
So I did and reran the Doctor software, which gave me the very same error message. This time, I clicked "Ignore" and let it do its things. It ran a "Scan Test" twice and indicated that everything was fine or had been repaired. But strangely nothing happened on the printer during those "tests". And at the end, as it offered me to make a scan test myself, I clicked OK and I had the "Scanner Unreachable" error message again.
So I made my scans on an USB key, as I had to do a few times already, and that went very well. But I'd be glad to have that "Scan to computer" function back. How?

I am sorry to hear that you are still having a scan issue. What antivirus program are you running on the computer? Can you try to scan through Paint and Windows Fax and Scan on the computer? When you run the HP Print and Scan Doctor what error message are you getting?
In this document for Windows: HP Scan Software Does Not Open or Scan on a Printer Using a USB Connection are steps for checking the WIA and for checking software.
You can also Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files that may resolve this issue.

Transfer to new computer doesn't work

I have followed the instructions carefully on 3 occasions. However, I cannot tranfer my son's library onto his new computer. I believe the problem is twofold. First, the ipod is an IPOD Video. When you open the Ipod there is no "tunes" folder. Instead there is a folder labelled "Itunes Music". The instructions in the support thread say to drag the Itunes folder from Itunes to the desktop then drag the Itunes folder from the Ipod to My Music. The name of the file is different is different. I have removed the folders and reloaded Itunes twice. I tried renaming the folder. Nothing works. Any ideas?

Ideapad u310 touch, removed screen now computer doesn't work

I recently removed the screen from my ideapad u310 touch, hoping to connect it to a usb monitor to use as the primary display (or to my android tablet for portability). The hinge for the original screen broke and the screen started cracking so I couldn't close the screen anymore. Other than that the computer was working perfectly. Once I removed the screen and put the computer back together, I connected it to my tv using an hdmi cable. But now when I turn on the computer all I get is a green screen on the tv. Is the lcd laptop screen vital to the computer functionning or did I perhaps not connect all of the cabkes correctly when I put everything back together?

I have never tried this with your model, but it can work on some laptops. Unless someone visiting this message thread has already done it and shares their experience I am afraid you will have to do a little experimenting. I would disassemble the laptop and plug in the original LCD display and then do the HDMI connection to the TV. See if the TV now has the proper image instead of green. If it does then power everything down and disconnect the LCD laptop display. When powered back up then see if the green reappears on the TV. If it does then try just having the video cable to the laptop screen connected without the laptop's LCD screen connected on the other end and try again.

Cannot print and even the Save it on my computer - doesn't work

I have some very basic questions about WebIntelligence. I can't believe that I am stumbling
on something simple - here it is:
1. I created a report and want to save it on my computer - I click Save to my Computer and
select the "As Excel" option. It just flashes - if I choose the PDF option its the same. What
could be wrong?
2. I want to print my report. I create a report, hit the print button, comes up with the
Make Printable Version and I click OK again it flashes and doesn't want to print.
I have Adobe Reader 9 installed.
Any clues what I may be missing?

Syncing Iphone computer doesn't work. deletes songs added to playlist on phone.

no matter what I try to do, iTunes continues to ruin all of my hard work. I create playlists on my computer, but I often add songs through my phone. when I sync my phone to my computer after adding a bunch of songs, the computer thinks the playlist should not have the songs I added on it, so it removes the songs or renames the playlist as Favorites 1 or Favorites 2. it is a really big pain and I would really appreciate it if someone could tell me how to connect the playlists to the cloud so that whenever I make a change on one device, it automatically changes it on my laptop and iPad. Thank you.

Import after reinstalling on same computer doesn't work

After a computer crash I reinstalled Thunderbird. Trying to import all the email addies, etc I get to a box that says something like "import from" and click next but nothing happens. What am I missing? Thanks for any suggestions.

For a "Thunderbird to Thunderbird" transplant of data, it's recommended to copy the profile. Or at least, redirect the new installation of Thunderbird to use the old profile.

I deleted the "audio" folder in my HD library preferences, now my computer doesn't work right. Imagine that.

I recently clean installed Mountain Lion on my mac mini and I was unable to switch between my HDMI output and the headphone port in sound preferences. If the headphones were plugged in it wouldn't let me switch to HDMI. I read a thread where someone suggested deleting the audio folder in preferences. Like an idiot, I went ahead and did it. Now my computer's all screwed up. Audio Midi Setup gives me the pinwheel-of-death and I have to force quit. I also get the pinwheel when I mouse over the stuff in the top right corner of the screen. A lot of stuff is giving me the pinwheel.
How can I fix this?

OOH... In the nick of time. I was getting ready to nuke it from orbit(clean reinstall). Lucky you chimed in when you did. Running the installer should be considerably faster than wiping the HD.
I put ML on a usb drive. Does this mean I just go into the thumb drive and click on Install OSX Mountain Lion?
