My Computer DOesnt work on Any Internet

Ok, We have a wirless router, and 3 computers, My sisters hp worked, my brothers iMac exact same as Mine worked wirlessly, but mine didnt work, wired or wirless,? Now What?
And i deleted my safari, but now i can do anything??

you might want to try looking under your support on the computer. it may tell you there. you might just need your updates for the internet. ive had that problem on one of my other computers and that worked for me. but this problem im having doesnt seem to have a solution

The way iCloud works is that it isn't actually 'syncing', though this is how it's often referred to. The data lives on the iCloud server and is read from there by the various devices (just like webmail). Therefore when you make a change on your iPhone you are actually changing the iCloud website (there is an internal procedure to allow you to make the changes while you are offline, and they are then changed on the site when you next connect).
Therefore any device whose changes appear on the iCloud site, and who can read changes on the site made by other devices, is working: and any device whose changes do not appear, and which cannot receive changes made by other devices which have appeared on the site, is failing to connect. This appears to be the issue with your Mac.
When this happens, sometimes signing out and in again resets the whole setup and corrects the problem. If another device such as your iPhone is connecting to the iCloud server correctly then nothing you do on it will affect your Mac. (In fact even if it isn't connecting it has no effect on your Mac, only on its own ability to transmit changes to the iCloud server).

Password Manager not working with any internet browsers

I have Thinkvantage password manager installed (v. 3.20.0311.00) on my Thinkpad X201. I am running Windows 7 professional, 64 bit. Password Manager works for all programs except IE8 or Mozilla Firefox (eg. works for Outlook, works for iTunes, etc.). When browsing, the program simply never pops up. It worked previously, and I still have many saved website login details, but it never logs in for me any more and new sites do not activate the program.
I have made sure that the add-on is enabled and I have checked the box next to "enable 3rd party browser extensions" in the advanced tab of internet options. I have also tried resetting internet explorer settings. As mentioned above, this in not only a problem with IE8; it also occurs with Firefox.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

Same problem here. I just recieved mine (Win 7 pro 64 bit, X201 Multitouch) last week and password manager not working at all in ANY web browser. It recorded my .net password just fine, but i can't get it to work in IE8. Who pays this kind of money for something that doesnt work?

Installed update for Quicktime for Leopard. It indicates successful installation but actually hasnt installed. Did it a few times and also deleted my existing version and all QT preferences. Still doesnt work. any ideas?

I have downloaded Quicktime for leopard fo rmy iMac (2 years old). It indicated successful installation. Then I purchased Quicktime Pro. It didnt work. So tried a download again. The same thing happened. So I deleted absolutely everything including my old version of QT and also any preference files I found. I tried again but the same thing happened. It indicates successful installation but a search doesn't reveal anything anywhere. I have had no previous trouble downloading any new programmes . They always install with no problem straight into applications. there is lots of available memory. Now I have no Quicktime whatsoever.
Any ideas anyone? Have tried speaking to the apple call centre in India. He couldnt understand me and vie versa. No use at all and it cost me a fortune for the phone call. On the phone for an hour while this chap kept going to his supervisor. Why do companies continue to use call centres overseas?

I have used Firefox since Firefox 0.7 or 0.9 but may have been 0.5. Seems like it was called something else but my memory is not that great.
Before that I used Seamonkey and other variations of Mozilla. Before that I used Netscape. I even have/had a CD that I sent off for with the different releases going all the way back to the beginning (I think).
I was a Mozilla crusader. When I saw someone using IE I would talk to them like they must be dumb until they switched haha. I have converted everyone who is close to me to firefox except my wife and I think she uses IE to irritate me.
I work on the Internet. I spend no less than 12 hours and up to 18 hours a day with my fingers touching a keyboard that is connected to a computer or phone that is interacting with the Internet. I have Firefox on my Android phone, two laptops and my desktop. All of them crash constantly.
When it crashes I lose work and time. Not to mention getting big headaches.
I am very appreciative for the browser and yes I have made money donations. Not saying that makes me good. I look at it more like I am paying for great software.
I never thought the day would come that I would say no more to Firefox. The day has come.
When Firefox first came out it was small, good and fast. As time has went on it has become big, bad and slow. I feel like I am turning my back on a good friend but i can't take the crashing any longer.
I am using Chrome now. Dang I hate to use anything google. Since I can't make my own browser I have to use what's out there and Chrome is fast. Sort of like Firefox used to be... except of course Chrome has all those phone home goodies.
I won't be trying to convert anyone to Chrome but neither will I try to convert them to Firefox.
I am not trying to start a flame war or anything here. As nuts as it sounds I felt like I should tell Firefox bye.

Is there any way to redownload a movie? I bought a movie a while back on an old computer and now the computer doesnt work. I really want the movie but there is no way to get the computer running again.

What you are hearing is correct. There is currently no Mac app for iBooks, so no way to get them on the Mac.
You can use many of the other e-reader apps like Kindle on all of your devices and your Mac.

Time Machine doesnt work with McAfee Internet Security Software

I recently installed the McAfee product All Access Internet Security on my 2011 iMac (10.9.4) and configured the real time scan, spyware, application protection and firewall features. All appeared to be running fine with no performance degradation which is great, but after some testing I discovered that the firewall feature prevents Time Machine from connecting to Time Capsule and back ups don't work. Upon deactivating the firewall feature but leaving all other McAfee services running the Time Machine works fine again and all is well.
I'm wondering if there is a way to make a change to a setting that will allow the McAfee firewall to run as two layers of protection (Desktop Firewall and Time Capsule firewall) would be ideal.
Has anyone experienced this or have any suggestions on where to start ?

Just did it here and its working.
My first language is portuguese, so I will try to guess what the similar in English, ok?
1- Go to Mcafee "Preferences"(clic on the Mcfee icon in the upside of your monitor)
2- Go to "Firewall"
3- Here there is a choice in the little window: "Type: public" is the default option. I changed it to "Type: house or work".
Its working now. Already made two backups in Time Machine(Time Capsule). Don't know what will happen after a day or two.

Adobe Flash (latest) not working with any Internet browser

iMac with latest OS 10.8.3, installed Flash Player plug-in (latest). No flash videos will play in any browser (Safari, Firefox or Chrome). Based on other posts, I cleared Safari cache (deleted stored data), uninstalled Flash, and then re-installed. Still same problem.
I don't see any Preferences related to Flash plug-in in Safari or Computer Preferences.
Suggestions?

Hi i have installed the latest patch on my macbook pro for os lion and now my computer will not turn on. It restarted after the blue screen but now the screen just stays black is this a common problem or is there something wrong with my computer as it was working fine before the update

there is nothing wrong with the computer.
Try booting to safe mode ( hold down shift on startup ) see if it will boot.
if not - boot to recovery ( CMD + R ) then reinstall the OS
the data will not be lost as the reinstall only affects the OS files not data so it will be fine.

Ipod photo doesnt work with any of my devices

ipod photo 20gb, it works fine and is upadated in itunes,
but i have 4 devices i would like to use it with and it works with
none of them, my gf's ipod touch works fine with them all,
is there an adapter or updated firmware to get this ipod photo to
work with newer devices? or are old ipod owners forgotten about and left
in the dust?

Had ipad, just got iphone, computer doesnt work. Now what?

I have had an iPod and iPad for a while now. Today I got an iPhone, but recently my laptop crashed that had my itunes library on it. Not all of my music is synced to my ipad and ipod. I have my dad's laptop to use, with his itunes library on it. I realize I can make my own user account on his laptop and have my own itunes account there, but I will only have the music and other content already synced on my ipad and ipod. I am attempting to have my laptop fixed, but in the meantime, or in the event that my laptop cannot be fixed, what is the best thing for me to do?
Please let me know if this is hard to follow.

How do I install an apple usb SuperDrive with my macbook that already has a superdrive but doesnt work?

I bought a macbook off of a friend but the CD drive to the computer doesnt work and was broke awhile ago. I needed to install some software onto this computer so I bought the Apple USB SuperDrive thinking it would work, but later finding out that it is only compatible with macs that dont have a superdrive built in. An Apple support technician told me that it could be done through a process, but she couldn't help me with. So it would be greatly appreciated if someone can help me with this problem. Thank You!

Hifi mode doesnt work after xp reboot

To get the hifi mode to work, i have to remove the power plug at the back and put it in again, after restarting windows xp. Then it works. I hate doing this
ps even the hifi button doesnt work!

The Hi-Fi mode switch can not be used when the computer is turned on BUT if using the MMC III you will notice that the HI-FI will light up. Can you give us some more information on this ie does it happen if you start up XP and do not use the MMCIII, what happens if you shut your computer down by holding in the PC button? Have you tried this with your CD and AGP cards installed, has this always happened, Have you tried a boot disk to see if the operating system is upseting the LCD. If it works fine off a boot up disk then I would do a fresh install of your XP.
