DVD Studio Pro is being really buggy, help needed.
The main menu has been authored with the tracks included but the other day i ran into a problem. On the "writing lead-out" it just got stuck. Nothing occured for hours and the dvd burner kept making this weird noise. I was forced to force quit the program and retry. The second time it worked perfect. The thing is when the master DVD pops out it doesnt seem to want to play on certain DVD players. It is almost as if it is just encoded to a degree where cheap dvd players will not read the dvd. Is there a solution to this problem? Thank you in advance.

I believe the problem is just that, top deck players. We do encode using compressor. I authored it again but a lot differently. Sure to not use the same footage in the dropzone as in track 1. I feel if you drop too many of the same things while authoring that are included in Tracks that it some how gets confused at times. As for Toast i believe we will be getting that, just so we can burn at a much slower speed. I just did some tweaks and it is working fine once again. I found a compatability list of top deck players that helps alot. I thank you all for your time and help. Even little things you have said have helped set my mind in a new direction. I somehow erased iphoto from my computer when i was clearing out all unwanted pictures fromt he all images folder , i have no idea what i did, my computer went from 83 g left to 103gs now so i'm panicking !!
please help me i have no idea on what to do!Did you erase iPhoto (an application in your applications folder), the iPhoto library (a database file in yoru pictures folder) or images inside of the iPhoto library which will cause iPhoto to not operate correctly?
If you deleted images inside of the iPhoto library using the all images display (it is not a folder but a display of all image photos on yoru computer) and have emptied the trash then your optiopns are very simple - restore from your backup prior to deleting the images, purcshase file recovery software like file savage for one - http://subrosasoft.com/OSXSoftware/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id= 1 - have a file recovery company recover your files or go forward without them.

Artist on my ipod are being duplicated! HELP PLZ!!
The artist in my library are organized but when they get trasfered on to my ipod i will have duplicates of artist and the songs will be split up with how ever many duplicates of the artist that is on my i pod is there any way i can fix this please help me!
The problem is probably extra whitespace at the end of your artist name. Just one space at the end of an artist name will cause it to appear as another artist. I have spent alot of time weeding out these spaces in my collection (7000+ songs). If anyone from iTunes development happens to read this, it is an issue that should be addressed.
This issue is not confined to artist name. I once had 3 different 'Rock' genres show up on my iPod.
The fix already discussed is the way to go. It just seems a bit unnecessary, our software is supposed to be smarter than this. -
Using iWeb to publish my mobileme photo gallery -really weird bugs help plz
I have a really weird problem and have tried searching the forums already with no luck.
I'm using iWeb09 to put mobileme photo album on my website. When I initially add the widget onto my page, the widgets will show a "preview" of what pictures are in the gallery if you hover your mouse over it. Later during the day, I'm not sure if I did anything to mess it up but that "preview" is no longer there. It's just a black box. It still works however if you click on it because it takes you to the mobile gallery.
The only way for me to fix it was to delete the mobile me album and create a new one. Then re-add the widget onto my iWeb.
This has happened twice to me already and I cannot figure out why it happens. I'm sorry if my description is vague. Please help.There is no point in re-installing iWeb, because after you have published it really is not an iWeb problem - if there is something not working on uploading the files, then it is really nothing to do with iWeb after html pages have been created.
If you are using Fetch to upload, then you have obviously published your site to a local folder? If so, are the photos there when you look at your local site? If they are there when you publish to a local site, then it is an error in uploading and if photos do not show, it means that some things are not being uploaded to your server correctly.
Have you tried using Cyberduck instead of Fetch? Cyberduck or Transmit are two of the better ftp programmes to try. -
Text in Hebrew has gone really weird in Motion and FCP - please help!
Hi,
I have been working in a project for a long time, and produced hundreds of simple titles in Motion in Hebrew. The font I have used throughout is Arial Rounded MT Bold.
In the latest title I added one text object and made it Italic. Since then, all my Hebrew text in this title and now any previous title I open appears really weird (the vowles are disjoined from the consonants). I have turned off the Italics option on all the titles but it still does the same thing.
This occurs even in a brand new title, where I paste the Hebrew directly into a new text object.
I am desperate for someone to help me, as I have a tight deadline on this one. All previous titles I open appear the same, even though they were fine in the past. I have tried deleting the preference file.
I am using Motion 4 (FCS 3) on a iMac bought last year, quad core intel.

The font doesn't match what I was using before. I have no idea what it was using previously, but at least I can proceed from here. My previous projects have all been output to movie files so even if the motion files are now messed up, it's not the end of the world!

Is there anyone that can tell me a little bit about what is going on?I've restored it several times with no backup at all and it doesn't seem to help. Almost all of my apps crash I have deleted almost all of them hoping if it was a memory prob it would be fixed but no the main one is safari it crashes all the time. It also just acts really weird. When I am typing anything on safari the letters will drag and then slowly catch up when I'm typing. It will also go to a different kind of screen format like its trying to figure out if it's a computer or phone when I rotate the screen. I have go in and delete the website data and clear everything almost everyday and it still does this. Hope that helps, if you have any idea on what's going on or any other advice on how to fix I'd love the help thanks

HELP ME! My computer is posessed! Very weird power problem!!!!
I am using an iMac - first generation of intel-based iMacs - and I have a very weird powering-on and powering-off problem.
When I plug my iMac into the wall socket, it starts up on it's own. When I shut it down (using BOTH the apple menu OR the power button), it starts itself right back up. When I put it to sleep, it goes to sleep and then wakes up immediately. It does restart normally, though, so it seems that my iMac simply has a problem with being OFF!
Help meh! I'd like to save a trip to the Apple Store if I can help it!Hello DrackerDesign

If the SMC and Energy Saver Preference changes do not cure these problems, then you will need to seek service help.

When I convert my pdf doc to word, the fonts go really weird and it also puts some text into boxes. when I try to select the text and change the font, it does not change it properly? This is making it impossible to amend.

If the PDF that you converted already has searchable text, please try disabling OCR as described in this document: How to disable Optical Character Recognition (OCR) when converting PDF to Word or Excel. (If the PDF was created from a scanned document and doesn't already have searchable text, disabling OCR isn't a great option, as the text won't be searchable/editable in the converted Word doc.)

Dock acting really weird - Please help!
After installing the Mobile ME update and iTunes 7.7, my dock has been acting really weird.
1. I usually set the default dock size at the smallest possible. However, now when you left click on the separator of folders and applications, it allows the dock to become smaller than possible when setting from the Preference Pane
2. The dock automatically becomes smaller over time until the icons are really tiny.
Is this a bug encountered by anyone else? It really bugs me that I have to keep pulling the dock to a standard size. Can someone please help me out of this mess?Hey VK
Thanks for the quick response.
I did just that. Deleted the com.apple.dock.plist under my user home directory/Library/Preferences.
While it reset the dock, the problem still remains. You can view the problem by
1. Setting the dock to the smallest possible size via the Preference Pane
2. Turn on magnification and bring it closer to the left side of the adjustable bar
3. Now, use your mouse to drag the dock by the separator
Observation: The dock will become smaller than is "set" by the bar in Preference Pane
4. Click on the bar in the preference pane, set at small, the dock will resize itself again
5. Choose the dock to be set on the right
6. Choose it to be set at bottom
Observation: The dock is a LOT smaller than it could ever have been.
7. Click on the smallest possible size in the preference pane, the dock resizes itself
8. The dock keeps getting smaller over time still. =(! -
My ipod has been disabled for 22,777,704 mintues and when i try to restore it is says it cant be restored because the ipod is locked. there is no where to enter the password. i font have the computer it was originally synced with. help please!!
