I have a dual core 3 ghz procesor and 4 gb of ram with 64 bit windows 7 runing plz help me my 60 percent procser is used by itunes how can i make it faster by comsuming les procesor

are you saying that when you connect your MacBook Pro to a monitor, your Internet connection slows down, but when you disconnect the monitor, it speeds up again, and that this is reproducible from one day to another?
Does this happen both under OS X and under Windows 7, or only under one of them?
How are you currently connecting your MacBook Pro to your monitor?

hi, i don't know if any of you ever experienced this as well or not, but i don't feel happy with how it goes so slow when i open my mac.
soo.. i just installed OS X Mavericks on my macbook pro 13" (2.4 GHz with memory 4 GB), since then it feels much slower for me to wait for my mac loading into the desktop screen, is it normal?? but i can work with the applications normally after it's opened, not even as slow as the opening part. is this normal too?? or should i downgrade the OS? what indicates that mac isn't compatible with the OS?
i see some has posted that teir macs running slowly too after installing Mavericks, if you experience it too, is it the whole thing you do on your mac getting sloweer or only at the opening part as what's happening on mine?

When you next have the problem, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.
If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Each message in the log begins with the date and time when it was entered. Scroll back to the time you noted above. Select the messages entered from then until the end of the episode, or until they start to repeat, whichever comes first. Copy the messages to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of it useless for solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. ITunes Store won't open and iTunes goes incredibly slow when i connect my iPod

Hadn't used iTunes for a while until a few weeks ago. Updated it but now when i try to open the iTunes Store the loading bar gets less than halfway before it gives up and just goes to a blank screen with "iTunes Store" written on it. Also when i connect my iPod it shows up under devices but if i try to click on it everything just goes really slow, no matter how long i leave it it won't bring up the page showing the details of my iPod. I emailed the support people about it but they've been no help at all so far, just wondering if anyone had any advice.

I also have the same problem except when you sync your iPod part. I also just see a blank screen on iTunes Store, even on the home page even if my connection is good. I just had this problem after I updated my Java program on my laptop (because they just released an updated version) so went updated mine. Since then, I only see a blank screen on iTunes, but when you search for a certain app for a game, it will show as normal, but when you go to the Apps tab and scroll down and click Games, it will load up but will only give you a blank screen. What's going on? Please have this fixed ASAP.

I have tried uninstalling iTunes completely from my computer and installing it back, but problem continues. With those symptoms, I'd try the following document:

(If there's a SpeedBit LSP showing up in Autoruns, it's usually best to just uninstall your SpeedBit Video Accelerator.)

Computer forced to restart when closing iTunes

I've updated to the newer versions of iTunes, and occasionally, when I shut down iTunes, the computer locks up and is forced to restart. Any ideas why?

The problem I am experiencing is a slowness of response between changing from various applications. What steps could I take to clean up the boot speeds, the applications speeds and general performance of the computer? I would like to restore the speeds of that when it was new.

Computer goes power-off when using flash player

Hi,
When using Linux (both Fedora 20 and openSuse 13.1), the latest updates installed, with latest flash player, recently my computer either starts rebooting continuously or just goes power-off. This happens between 15 seconds to 1 minute into a video. Earlier I thought it was the computer hardware being at fault, but after thoroughly cleaning it, it still happens and without playing a flash video, the computer just keeps running. List of my hardware (from dmesg): AMD Sempron(tm) Processor 3100+, ATI RV620 LE [Radeon HD 3450] video, 2 GB RAM.

It's either graphics drivers or a heat problem (but that would be more the turn-off, but not the rebooting symptom).
You can disable hardware acceleration in Flash to try and avoid it.
Video playback issues

SLM 2048 GOING dead slow very often

Hi,
We have bought 1 of SLM2048 for our office to upgrade two old switches to one 1GB network. I wonder what is the reason that eveery now and then the trafic slows down to about 10 to 20 kB/s and I need to reboot the switch to get it working again. it is going on in different intervals some times twice a week somtimes twice a day (as today) .
Does enybody have idea what causes it. Is it overheating or is it some firmware issue? It is realy anoing. And Im now getting blamed for spending £600 for the switch which does not do any good.

A few things you will be asked about:
1) have you upgraded to latest firmware and performed a reboot?
2) is this related to processor or traffic loads?
3) if processor, we will need to see the configs in order to see if anything is 'funky'. Also some logging will help, syslog events.
4) if traffic loads, which ports are causing this?
5) In the middle of the 'slow down' which ports have their lights constantly on?
6) can you disconnect ports one at a time to find the culprit?
Just a few thoughts to help speed this up ...

Computer goes to sleep when unplugged and won't charge...

I've only had my laptop for a year and change, and all of a sudden this evening something weird started happening. It says the battery is completely dead even though I keep it on the charger. Last night I shut it down for the first time in a few weeks (I have a nasty habit of just putting it to sleep instead of shutting it down properly). Now, this evening, if I let it go to sleep on its own (from inactivity) it refuses to wake up no matter what I do, and if I try forcing it to cut off (by holding down the power button), it will not turn back on until I attach the power cord. If I unplug it, no matter how long it's been charging, it will automatically go to sleep, and the battery recharging "restarts" from zero.
Why is this happening and what do I need to do to fix it? Please help!

MacBook Pro says its connected to wifi but doesn't work(or goes super slow)when the wifi works for everyone else Help!

I have recently gotten a MacBook Pro (through my highschool so it is monitored by them) and ever since I brought it home it's been having wifi connection problems. It says the wifi is working fine, it shows full bars, but when I try to connect to the Internet it acts like there is only one bar or no bars. Although every one and a while I can get a great connection but it lasts for about 10 minutes. This I do not get because the wifi works perfectly fine for everyone else in the house and for our phones too. So if anyone else could help me I would be soo happy. Thanks.

I have had the same issue and searched the forums and found nothing that helped. I contacted apple support and this is what they told me to do:
First we’ll do the SMC reset
1.) Shut down the Mac and connect to power source.
2.) Unplug external devices, flash drives, external monitors, external HD (Keep the Mac plugged into power source)
3.) Hold down “Shift” + “Control” + “Option” (On the left side of the keyboard) + Power key for 30 seconds.
*The Mac should remain powered off during the reset, the LED on the MagSafe Adapter may change colors.
**The “Option” key is also known as the “Alt” key on some Macs.
Awesome, now let’s reset the NVRAM
1.) Locate these keys “Command”, “Option, “P” & “R”
2.) Power on your Mac
3.) Immediately press and hold all 4 keys “Command” “Option” “P” “R”
4.) Listen for 2 boot chimes and then release.
**The “Option” key is also known as the “Alt” key on some Macs.

Thank you Thomas in fact I have seen your guide before and had gone thru the steps including repair disk which didn´t work. I am erasing disk before checking hardware. I have posted a photo of the 4 decrypted files in the disk utility and also of the adobe icons in the dock and question marks. Some people say if the adobe appears in the dock is because it is the trojan flash player and they keep jumping in the dock. If this is not malware it seems to be an incredible coincidence that when I start seeing these things in my dock and the decrypted files in my disk utility is when my computer goes so slow (I am typing this in my macbook air because to write this message in my imac would be about 6 hours, I am not kidding, it is completely useless at this point it took me 2 and half days too instal mac os x after disk repair, it took me 3 days to transfer just 100 gigabites and now is taking the whole day (and it says another day more) just to erase the disk. Despite all this the icon of adobe keeps jumping in the dock so, although I am no computer and mac expert, just an user, I am inclined to think that it is malware and it is a shame that mac doesnt´recognize it or have anything here to help me get rid of this. I am not even sure if erasing the disk will work since repairing didn´t work... all advice is welcomed.

Computer suddenly extremely slow. Now grey screen.

Almost overnight, the computer became extremely slow when running apps. I tried multiple solutions -- verifying, repairing, etc. Yet as of now, its refusing to boot. Is there a way of restoring the system through time machine on an external HD on Mountain Lion? Does anyone strongly suspect (as I do) that this is the last gasp for the hard drive and a new one is in order? Or is the situation perhaps even more critical given the age of the machine?

It booted just now after many attempts, but is still extremely slow and unresponsive.
Once again, please: any help with the matter would be immensely appreciated. Would putting in a new hard drive solve the issue? I read somewhere that moving your computer when it's running can cause the drive to get corrupted. And in fact, that is more-or-less when my problems began.
Or should i try restoring the computer first through the OS X DVD?

Can you elaborate a bit? Is your mac fast when doing other things?
When you say it is slow in Safari, is that true on all sites? Or one site in particular?

What were you using before you bought this new mac? Was it fast on the same connection?
Its kinda hard to fingure out what you are saying, and its very unlikely for any computer to be slow when running one program, btu fast when running others.....
