My computer has been crashing when i am using firefox. I was watchung a new video first, then when i was trying to update my flash player like support suggested
It started the first time when I had Firefox. I would be watch an online video and the picture would stop and the sound would become a buzz or a slow buzz and the sound trying to play. It became more and more. I chanced to chrome for a while. I wanted to try out fox again but it started all over again. It also happen when it looked up possible fixes and tried to update my flash player like suggested. It got to the point where it was downloading and the computer crashed. the only thing I can do every time is do a hard boot and start my computer all over again.
I don't think I ever had to do that with chrome. Help me, I really do like Firefox a lot but I am going to have to go back to chrome. Also, another thing that is happening is my firewall program is popping up more with a TCP warning.
Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

My whole Mac has crashed a number of times both yesterday and today. This is very unusual. I'm not positive it's because of Firefox's new update, but it seemed like a good guess, and it was usually when I was on various websites (I was going through a lot of emails from news lists and clicking on links). I use Thunderbird for email, and Firefox is my browser of preference. It crashed three times so far today, over several hours, and yesterday I guess it probably crashed about 6 times -- not sure.

I get a "connection error" when trying to update/install Flash Player
I have a previous version of Flash player so I was trying to update it. The installation doesn't make it past 5% before saying "connection error". I have tried all the troubleshooting steps and even tried to uninstall it. When I try to download the uninstaller, I get a page on safari that says "safari cannot connect to server" (I also tried on firefox too, same problem). I have tried to locate it in my toolbar and applications to uninstall it from there with no luck, it has completely disappeared. Not in my trash, nowhere. Not sure what else to do. I am running on Mac OS X 10.7.5. When I have Adobe check to see if it is installed on my computer, it says that a previous version is installed, 16.0.0.

When trying to update Adobe Flash Player, message says no ActionList found.
When I try to view videos on CNN home page, it tels me that the video is optimized for flash player 10, and when I click on the appropriate buttons to download that, it tells me "ActionList not found".

Hi, first time posting on the forum. I own a 2011 IMAC i5 with 12gb of ram 27 inch. Over the last five days the computer has been crashing and running very erratically. When the computer has crashed the entire computer has become unresponsive and frozen, requiring a reboot or two. At other times the computer has slowed way down and the dreaded spinning beachball has appeared and the computer takes its sweet time trying to process something. Iphoto has also crashed independently when the beahball will not disappear. THE entire system is running way below its usual stellar quad performance. I have run a ram test and everything has come back clean, I have fixed any broken permissions, and deleted any newly added software (starcraft2). There is over 250Gb of hard drive free and the activity monitor shows no unusual processes. The computer automatically updated it self recently to 10.8.1 has this caused a conflict with some software? Or is there a deeper problem?
Below are the console reports. There are also reports for unversalaccessd , mdworker, Isregister, loginwindow, iphoto, DMproxy which can be supplied.

Last night, my system was still using Firefox 3.5.8. I was playing Farmville on Facebook and everything was working fine. This morning, I log onto my computer and find that I am upgraded to Firefox 3.6. I have been trying to play Farmville all morning, and the Adobe Flash Player keeps crashing. I have tried to update the Flash Player. I have tried restarting the computer. Nothing is working.

When trying to update Adobe Flash Player on My iMac I get a message that says "blocked Plug-ins." When going back to previously viewed studies, including youtube, I get the same message. What changed if the update was never installed? How can I reverse this situation? Thanks for any ideas?
PS - not a techie :-)Are you actually getting a Java error too, or are you only getting a Flash error?

Firefox has been crashing all the time after I updated to the newest version. I tried to uninstalled firefox and all addons. Restarted the computer to reinstall Firefox and it's still crashing all the time. Please help.

Apple TV: "Check that any firewall software running on this computer has been set to allow communication on port 3689" alert in WindowsAfter a few hours the same issue started again. (Port 3689 error) I checked my router settings and it shows ATV asd connected to my netrwork. ATV also shows in iTunes devices. It asll works till I try to sync. Then the error pops up
I tired restoring ATV to factory settings. Even backed iTunes up to version 8 and every combonation therein. I started an older Gateway running Vista 64bit and it syncs fine with ATV although it's slow and I have to transfer movies from my Win 7 to tyhe Vista machiner.
I cannot find any reason for this issue. Can anybody solve this before it dribves me crazy? (Crazier) -

When I was editing a picture that I reposted on instagram, I hit the edit button and then a white screen appears and randomly shuts down. I have also noticed that my iPod has been crashing about every single 30 minutes! Please help!
The iPod crashing when editing a photo is a known bug in iOS 5.1.1.
For the other problem.
Try the following:
- A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
If you still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order -

I think my Mac just got hacked into. I was working on a doc. that had personnel information- names. Phone #s and my home street address. my mac book pro froze up and when it unfroze, all of the names, phone#s and my address changed to ?/-\|# After I stared at the screen w disbelief for less than 1 sec. Word closed it down. After 2 min. Word brought the 2 word doc. I was working on back onto the screen. I looked at the personnel info, and saw the names, phone numbers and my street address in numbers and words. It looked like as if nobody touched my Mac. What should I do? I need help badly. If my computer has been hacked, the information they took, can they steal identity, credit card #s with just phone #s and first&last names besides my street address. I havent touched my computer since thus happened. I'm my iPhone. Should I turn off my computer? Also ididnt save the doc. I was working on. a box came up and said "this file is read-only. To save a copy, click OK and give the document a new namein the Save dialog box( AutoRecovery save of document1)". What should I do? I'm not making this up. How do I know if my computer has been hacked into?
I am having two issues with my iMac. One is with my wireless -- in the past few days I've received a few times an IP address error, which seems to be solved by renewing the DHCP lease and restarting. Also, at the login screen when I restart, it takes two tries to log in -- on the first one, my password only partially registers and the screen "bounces", then the second try works. Could this mean that my computer has been compromised? We had some workmen alone in our flat while we were away recently, so there are a few people who've had access to the physical machine as well.
