It should tell you what version it is trying to update to. There is an update to Firefox 3.6.16 available. If you prefer you can download and run the Firefox 3.6.16 installer available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html

Hi there, I have a 2009 Macbook - running on OS X V.10.6.8... but I'm looking at upgrading the Operating System to V.10.10. Will your latest version of LIghtroom (the one I can currently get a free one month trial of from your site) work with Apple's latest operating system - Yosemite V.10.10? Or will LR only work with V.10.7, 10.8 or 10.9?
Thanks, SeamusHey, problem solved. One of the drives was faulty. I erased the 2nd drive (which was showing up as the degraded raid slice), deleted the RAID set and restored the 2nd drive from a back-up disk image. After that, when I booted using 'option' I was presented with two boot disks but only one that worked. And when it did boot up only the reformatted disk was showing in Diskutil so I'm guessing the second one is knackered. With it still in place the server still wouldn't boot up from a full shutdown, but the moment it was removed it booted up no probs. Wakes up from sleep as well so it seems sorted.
So now just need to decide whether I'll bother with replacing the second drive or just use an external back-up. I have just bought a 1TB drive to back up to so will probably just go with that.
Btw, is there anyway I can test the drive I removed to see if can be saved?

I just got the solution (that worked for me, anyway) from a Sony support rep. No PC or VMWare needed.
OK, you've installed Sony eBook Library v3, and Adobe Digital editions, you've set up your acocunts and authorized your computer on both of them, and you've authorized your Reader with the Sony Library application.
You go to the public library ebook download page, either through the Sony Library or just through a bookmark.
You check out a book, and open it in Adobe Digital Editions, which still won't recognize your Reader.
BUT, in the Sony Library app, you can now click "File, Import.." and go find the pdf you downloaded with the Adobe app.
On my Mac, it was in ~/Documents/Digital Editions
Import it, and drag it to your Reader.
The first time you do this, it will ask you to authorize the Reader with your Adobe ID.
Worked like a charm. -

Firefox 4 does not work on any Pogo games, neither did the latest version of 3.6.14 and since downloading the beta version of 4 I've had nothing but troubles and pages either not loading or taking forever to load. I do not like this version at all.
After trying everything else under the sun, I finally figured out that the problem was with the Adblock Plus program. Some of my games were not loading at Pogo.com, like Boggle, even though I made sure to clear all the caches and made sure my pop-up blocker wasn't on, the games still wouldn't work. Then I read something about Adblock Plus could be blocking some applets causing some games not to load properly and that's exactly what the problem was. The Adblock Plus preferences are found under the Tools button.I could've just disabled the Adblock Plus, but that made me a little nervous, so I just unblocked the items that were for the specific game that wouldn't load. To do that, I went to that particular game page where the room choices are. Not sure if you have to have Adblock Plus opened or not, but I did in a seperate tab. Then I hit cntrl + shift + V and it opened up the items that were blocked on Adblock Plus. The items in red are the items that are blocked. I just clicked on those to unblock them and the game loaded like a charm. Hope this info helps.

This morning I started my computer and firefox like normal. When I started firefox is said it was updating even though it didn't ask to update, which is normal for firefox. Then it restarted my entire computer. I haven't been to any strange websites lately and I have Norton, AVG and something else. This SAID it was Firefox, but it sounds like updater.exe is somehow a virus. Does Firefox ever update without asking and then reboot your computer without asking?

Sony digital camera wouldn't work with macbook after OS 10.4.7 update
I am having problem with the my sony T-1 digital camera, after I plug it into Macbook, it will not show that the camera is being connect at the USB port.( with OS 10.4.7)
The guy at Genius bar told me that there could possibly be some problems with the software and ask me to reinstall the OS X software that came with Macbook. I did. I erased everything and reinstall the whole OS X. Right after that my Macbook was able recognise the digital camera that was plugged into the USB.
However, after I updated my software to 10.4.7. Now it would not recognise the camera at USB port again...
What should I do now, please help. Thank you.USB and Firewire Zip and Jazz drives exist which work with Mac OS X a lot better than SCSI. I would suggest selling the old SCSI one to someone who can better use it, and get yourself more up to date drives:

Computer hacked; asking for update that I don't need. Spyware?
I believe it might by Spyware. Despite the fact that I'm running latest version of Firefox, a new link opens that tells me I need to upgrade to latest version of Firefox, which I mistakenly did. Now I have pop-ups galore. And I constantly have new windows opening up. I can't get any work done, I must use Firefox for my work. For example, I have had, I estimate, 10 windows or links open up in the short time that I have typed this message. Very frustrating. I am using Windows 8.

GTX 780m won't work with my games
I just bought a new laptop (MSI GT60 2OD-261 3k Edition IPS). I put Everquest, Everquest Next Landmark, Elderscrolls Online, Dota 2, and League of Legends. Even though my 780m is set to default. I cannot get these games to use my 780m. It only shows my Intel HD Graphics 4600. I have updated the drivers, right clicked the games and chose which video card I want it to run. Still it only uses the Intel Graphics.
I also cannot use my "G" button on this laptop. From what I'm reading its supposed to put the processor in turbo mode.
I have Upgraded my processor to the i7 Intel 4900MQ. So I had to update all my drivers from MSI's website and Intel/Invidia website. My Intel graphics driver is up to date and my Nvidia driver is up to date. I have downloaded all drivers from MSI's website for Windows 8.1 Pro x64.
If anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this it would be greatly appreciated.1) In order to use the iPod you need iTunes 7.0.2 or later.
2) You need to meet the following minimum system requirements to install iTunes.
3) Windows XP with Service Pack 2 or Windows 2000 with Service Pack 4.
4) The iPod is not going to work with this computer until it meets those minimum system requirements. -

Extended keyboard no longer works with some games
I've searched the discussion groups; can't find an answer. Some games that used to work with my Power Mac G5 start up fine, then going into the mission/action/etc. my extended white wired keyboard stops working (no keys work at all). The mouse works, but not the keyboard.
So far the games affected are Battlefield 1942, Medal of Honor, Myth II and III, and the new game, Babylon 5: I Found Her. Ghost Recon works fine, just in case someone wants to say its the game.
I've tried resetting PRAM, opening in Safe Mode, plugging the keyboard into the other USB port, and deleting all the game plist files. All these games worked before with the same hardware, but before 10.5. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.Thank for responding. I'm running 10.5.6; haven't "updated" since I know there are problems. I'm convinced from its behavior that something in the 10.5.x series is the problem. The mouse (connected to the keyboard), works.
