My computer is blocking firefox from loading from the logo shortcut it prompts me to choose a program to open it!
1.I click on logo.
2.a window opens that says I must choose from
a list of programs to open it.
3. The list includes Adobe, Internet exp. and a couple others.
4. No matter what I choose, another window pops up
5. That window says Run or Save.
6. I click Run and it refers me back to #2!!!!!
In terms of searching i have searched for photos on my finder. However, none of the photos that appear are from my iPhoto Library.

Search for any file with "ThumbJPGSegment" in the name. If you added at least one image to your library, the library should contain a file with this name, see OldToad's post: Re: Since I updated to iPhoto 9.5.1, my library is not listed or available. How can I find it? Can I use the time machine to restore it?

Please help! I am trying to get at my iPod (2nd_Generation) from a new computer. I have iTunes loaded but the Setup Assistant doesn't come up to allow me to access my iPod Shuffle. When using iPod in the 1st computer (which I no longer have), the iTunes Setup Assistant comes up but not on this 2nd setup on a new computer? The manual doesn't clarify how to do this. Thanks.

If the same website is opening each time you launch a browser (Safari?) hold down the shift key as you launch to prevent previous pages from opening.
Have a look at your settings in Safari > Preferences. Especially General and Privacy.
Reset Safari to remove cookies and other stored data.

How do I block pings from the outside to the ASA 5505 outside interface?
I was asked to block pings from the internet to the outside interface of our ASA-5505 firewall. I found a post that said to enter "icmp deny any outside", however that does not do it.
I created an ACL to try and do the trick, also to no avail:
access-list outside_in extended permit icmp any any echo-reply
access-list outside_in in interface outside
access-group outside_in in interface outside
Anyone have a clue what I'm doing wrong? I'm not the firewall guy as you can tell. :/

Block / Deny ICMP Echo (Ping) on Cisco ASA Outside Interface
Most networks that you protect with a Cisco ASA device, will probably want to deny ICMP (maybe not all ICMP types, but a lot of network admins will want to block ICMP Echo, etc.) on the outside interface. This will make the network harder to find through external enumeration, but not impossible.
ASA5505(config)#icmp deny any outside
You will deny ICMP on the outside interface, but if you include ICMP as a protocol in the default global policy map, you can ping from the inside to any host on the outside, and it will be permitted back through the ASA, as it knows about the previous ICMP “connectionYou are allowing echo-reply, thus it will reply to a ping

To create a new apple ID, if I sign out of the current Apple ID account, and then sign in with a newly created account, will I lose any songs or apps on my Iphone and Macbook Pro computer that were downloaded from the old apple ID?
No, you will not loose anything. However, if you ever need to update any of that previously purchased content, or re-download it, you will have to use the older AppleID. Purchases are permanently tied to the AppleID you use when making the purchase.

I use a Windows 8.1 operating system. Not the RT version or a new version; just the standard version of Windows 8.1. I have an app for Mozilla Firefox on my start screen, and one pinned to my task bar. I deleted the shortcut to Firefox from the desktop, and deleted it from the hard drive, but now I wish I hadn't I can't find an operating system option to create another shortcut, and I can't find the same or similar option on Firefox. When I press autorize, it comes up with a unknow appleID. When I use apple ID's that work - it comes with the message that the computer is autorized. but then the autorization message comes back.You can't change the Apple ID that the Authorize dialog comes up with by default. It's showing you that Apple ID for a reason: it means that the items you want to play were purchased using that Apple ID and therefore you need to authorize your computer with that Apple ID. Changing the Apple ID given completely defeats the entire purpose.
If you don't know the password to the given Apple ID, then you will no longer be able to play those items. -
while trying to sync with my iphone I recieve the message: This computer is no longer authorized for apps that are installed on the iPhone “Terri George’s iPhone”. I have authorized the computer but keeps giving me the message above.
I recently had my mother board replaced but my hard drive was spared. Ever since the replaced mother board I been getting this message.You can't change the Apple ID that the Authorize dialog comes up with by default. It's showing you that Apple ID for a reason: it means that the items you want to play were purchased using that Apple ID and therefore you need to authorize your computer with that Apple ID. Changing the Apple ID given completely defeats the entire purpose.
If you don't know the password to the given Apple ID, then you will no longer be able to play those items. -

I have been trying to install Windows 7 on my macbook pro (mid 2009, MBP53). I have successfully created a bootcamp partition using the assistant. When the computer tries to boot from the windows 7 install dvd, the screen is just black. The dvd spins for a bit, then stops and the computer is just black (no blinking cursor).
Any advice would be very appreciated.

You can use any DVDs that are hardware specific. Only the full non-hardware soecific DVDs work on the Mac.

If you right-click an image on a web page you can select to
"Block Images from [the url of the site]".
This works well, particularly to make the page printer-friendly, but how do you reverse this choice to see the images again?You can see all permissions for the current page in Tools > Page Info > Permissions
If it is from a different domain then use this:
*A way to see which images are blocked is to click the favicon (<i>Site Identification</i> icon) on the left side of the location bar.
*A click on the "More Information" button will open the Security tab of the "Page Info" window (also accessible via "Tools > Page Info").
*Open the <i>Media</i> tab of the "Page Info" window.
*Select the first image and scroll down though the list with the Down arrow key.
*If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "<i>Block Images from...</i>" then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.
