My computer is constantly restarting

Hello, my computer is constantly restarting. It started four days after installing Mavericks. It would restart with no advice and sometimes it gets into a restarting loop and restarts over and over.
Another symptom is that most of time, when coming back from sleep, the screen would stay black, they keyboard is lit and responding but it need to be forced to shut down and restart in order to respond.
At the beginning I noticed that this happened when using Aperture, I had a big library so I made a new library and it worked fine for two days, after that it kept on restarting. I don't if it's a software issue or a hardware issue, this is the panic log:

Phone constantly restarting with ios5+

I upgraded to ios5 from 4.3.3 and my phone is constantly restarting itself every few minutes. I have tried to restore it and restore it in DFU, both from a back up and a new phone and nothing seems to fix it. I have also redownloaded ios5 to see if it was a dodgy download. The only way I can stop it is to turn wifi off altogether. This will make the phone stable but it still might restart once or twice a day. I was hoping 5.0.1 might fix something but that didnt change anything either.
Is anyone else having these problems or knows of a fix?

When you set up the new phone did you set it up as "restore from an icloud backup" or did you set up the phone as a "new phone" and then signed in with your apple id? If you chose "restore from an ic,oud backup" then there might be something wrong with your icloud backup. You can try restoring the phone as "erase all contents and settings" and when it asks you how you're setting up your phone you can chose "set up as new iphone" and then sign in with your apple id and you should get your contact synced over at least. You can then go to the itunes store and app store to manually download your purchases. Or you can plug in your old phone to your computer and use itunes to "back up to my computer" and once that is done you can plug in your new phone to your computer and use itunes to "restore from a bckup". Hopefully that is more helpful.
Also, what exactly did the Apple Store say as to why they "couldn't help you"?

160 GB iPod constantly restarting

I hadn't updated the firmware on my iPod for a while since it's formatted for Windows but I use Mac. After installing it my iPod would just keep restarting. After two hours I unplugged it, restarted it, but nothing worked. I can put it in disk mode and the computer will see it then. All files seem to be intact so I don't think it's a harddrive problem.

Hi, sorry to "jack" this post in a way, but I'm having the same problems. My iPod 160G Classic is constantly restarting, and after I had only put a few text documents into the 'Notes' folder on the HDD. I am also using Linux (Ubuntu) instead of Mac, so is there any program that is compatible with Linux that can help with this problem?
EDIT: I'm new to Linux and such, I just installed it last night, but any help wil be greatly appreciated.

Macbook pro 2007 is constantly restarting since an osx 8.4 upgrade.

Hi I'm a macbook pro 2008 user which is now constantly restarting. I've fixed disk permissions from the restore partition and reset the PRAM removed the battery and only on power supply as well. without success now I believe it an issue with the upgrade as access and logging into the restore partition is not a problem or logging into OX.6.8 on a firewire external drive - this rules out hardware.

Give this a try:
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions - Lion/Mountain Lion
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.
After this is completed download and install 10.8.4 Mountain Lion Update v10.8.4 (Combo).

160G Classic Constantly Restarting - Using Linux

Hi all,
I got one of the 160G iPod's a while ago, and everything is up to date. I installed Ubuntu Linux on my computer last night, and I'm now having problems with my iPod. I put a few text documents into the 'Notes' folder just by browsing the iPod and copying them into there. I also put a folder in there with a couple of .exe files that had to be transferred to another computer, could they be causing my iPod to constantly restart?
I can turn it on, go through the menus for a couple of clicks, then it just shuts off and restarts, so I let the batteries die last night (I thought it would help), but it still does the same thing. I found a topic about this, but they were using Mac, so I was told to make my own topic. I am also fairly new to Linux, so anything you can tell me will be greatly appreciated. If it helps at all, I have Wine Windows Emulator installed and it's working fine.
Also just to add, is there a version of iTunes that will run with Linux/Ubuntu? I searched the Ubuntu forums, but the latest they said that will is version 7.4. I tried installing the Windows version using Wine, but it didn't work, and the Mac version's '.exe' just won't start on Linux.

An update tries to run, but an error message stating "The update could not be installed. Please make sure there are no other copies of Firefox running on your computer, and then restart Firefox to try again." I can't open Firefox

I click on Firefox and it says that Firefox is installing your updates and will start in a few minutes. Then I get "The update could not be installed. Please make sure there are no other copies of Firefox running on your computer, and then restart Firefox to try again." this cycle never ends. Do I need to deinstall Firefox and re-install? If I do that, do i lose all of my bookmarks, etc?

I cant install an update to Firefox and cant remove the old version because a "Setup" pop up window "Your computer must be restarted to complete a previous upgrade of Firefox. Do you want to reboot now?" appears, reboots change nothing. What should I do?

A friend said she downloaded an update to Firefox (a version of 6, I believe) but didn't install the update, but the desktop icon was gone. The only way to launch Firefox was from the Programs folder. When clicking on the Firefox file, a "Setup" pop up window appeared stating "Your computer must be restarted to complete a previous upgrade of Firefox. Do you want to reboot now?" Clicking "No" does not launch Firefox and clicking "Yes" reboots the computer, but nothing changes after restart and the same series of events keeps re-occurring. When clicking on the safe mode file, Firefox was launched. I went to "Add/Remove Programs" and found Mozilla Firefox 3.6.3. When attempting to remove the program, the same reboot "Setup" pop up appears, and the same non-results as previously described, persisted. I deleted all Firefox files and deleted the update set up .exe files. I again tried to remove the Firefox 3.6.3 program, with the same outcome as the previous attempt(s). I went to the Firefox website and downloaded the updated Firefox 7.0.1 set up .exe file, saved and ran it. When I reached the Setup Wizard page that prompts a "Standard" or "Custom" installation, I clicked on Standard and the same reboot pop up window appeared, again with no change after the reboot. So I have a Program installed (Firefox 3.6.3) with no files, and which can not be removed, an executed update/download .exe for Firefox 7.0.1 that can not be completely installed due to the failure to update by reboot problem. Try a clean reinstall.
* Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
* Firefox 7.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
* Uninstall your current Firefox version.
* Do not remove personal data when you uninstall the current version or you lose your bookmarks and other data in the profile folder.
* Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

Tried to install ff4 got message "your computer must be restarted to complete a previous upgrade of firefox. do you want to reboot now" I rebooted computer now firefox will not start at all and i have tried to uninstall and get the same message

have also tried to reinstall older version of firefox and get same message

i have been trying to figure out how to fix this same issue as well for the past 2 hours or so. it is very upsetting that you can't even uninstall it try to redo it all or just use the old version. everything seemed to be ok untill i got to the set up part of the process that is when i kept getting the same message: ''your computer must be restarted to complete a previous upgrade of firefox. do you want to reboot now" and to no avail. please help. i really enjoyed my firefox/mozilla. now i can't even use it i have to go back to internet explorer for now...........

I have multiple Windows Server 2008 R2 machines in which I am attempting to do an in place upgrade to 2012 R2, and it is repeatedly failing.
Setup gets all the way through, and it says Getting ready, followed immediately by an error saying: Setup can't continue. Your computer will now restart, and your previous version of Windows will be restored.
I am attempting to install:
Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter (Server with GUI)
x64 Date modified 3/18/2014
I have found several posts, many discussing how disk space can be an issue, I have increased disk space so it shouldn't be an issue. I have also made sure the only only partition on disk 0 is C: and system reserved.
I have disabled all unessential services and went through and removed all unessential applications, and extras. Still getting the error.

trying to do a in-place upgrade of a Domain Controller Windows 2008 R2 to Windows 2012 R2.
The problem was the separated System Reserved Partition. After I removed using this instructions:

The upgrade ran ok, and now have my DC as Windows 2012 R2.

If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop

* Install the new version that you have downloaded

I guess Im having the same issues as some of the others but I cant seem to remove. I just wanted to upgrade to FF7 and now I continue to get the message above. Actually, I figured it out...apparently I had too many add-ons...? Wouldn't allow me to click on tab items or type in Yahoo! search...
Removed some unwanted add-ons and extensions and I'm all good.

The icon on the taskbar is not the usual Firefox one. It is like an installation one. In short, I cannot open Firefox (I am having to use Internet Explorer to gain access to the Internet), I cannot get it to install properly and I am unable to uninstall it to start again with an earlier version. You would find firefox.exe in a Mozilla folder in your program files, but y0u would not want to delete it there, you would need to use the Control Panel which you have already identified and do it from there -- but generally you would not need to do that, and there is nothing in what you have posted to indicate that you should. But if you did do that, then don't let the install start Firefox for you as you would want to use you existing desktop icon or method of starting Firefox, and should decline having Firefox install start Firefox for you. When the install starts then invoke Firefox in your normal manner. This should eliminate problems of creating a new profile rather than using your old profile.

This problem arose when I attempted to upgrade my existing FireFox browser to the new FireFox 7. I clicked through the auto-update, but didn't think that anything changed, as the browser didn't look like the image in the feature explanation image I was viewing. I then tried to download Firefox 7, and when I tried to instal it, this process began.
