My computer is crashing regularly and goes into EFI SHELL.
This is what it says:

When I type "exit" to get to the bios, I restore to default settings, save changes and reboot. Then Windows starts and everything works fine for a little while.
I have also tried to reset the CMOS without any luck.
This is my PC:
Motherboard: MSI Z97M-G43
SSD: Crucial MX100 2.5" 256GB
CPU: Intel Core i5 4690K 3,5GHz
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 4GB PhysX CUDA
Please advise.

I am using the Optical Out from the Apple TV to my receiver, the Apple TV is hard Wired to the Network, the IPAD is Wirelessly attached to the network (it continues to play the Audio Stream). When the Apple TV is turned back on it resumes playing once I manual select it for output from the IPAD. All device are on current releases of software. I have no Video hooked up to the Apple TV. How do I correct this?

Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel or adjusting your multicast rate.
There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first. Networks that have inherent issues can be seen to work differently with different versions of the same software. You might also try moving the Apple TV away from other electrical equipment.

I assume you have checked your sleep settings in System Preferences>Energy saver
I also assume this has just happened recently and spontaneously, not after installing any particular hardware or software or you would probably have mentioned it...if anything new has been added recently, obviously just remove it!
It could be the battery - have your tried it just on mains? If it's a pre unibody MacBook try it without the battery at all. This could happen if you have a non-Apple (cheap Chinese) replacement battery.
Try NVRAM, PRAM & SMC resets (Google if you don't know how)
Try booting from the install media and repairing or reinstalling OS X. (Back up first!)
Just out of interest if you boot from a DVD or go into Open Firmware or Boot Select modes, does it still sleep after 30 seconds or is it just in OS X?

and i mean the phone would have been activated in the first place with the sim card you get given when you first get the phone.

Updated to windows 10 and now my computer stays black when it goes into sleep mode

I just updated my computer to windows 10. Whenever it goes into sleep mode and i try to move the mouse it just stays black and i have to turn my computer off and then on again. after that it finally works but its just annoying. I already tried updating my card driver, but it said it was already up to date.

My iMac i7 quad was having the same symptoms with the blue screen and long startup times a couple of months ago. Apple Care told me to bring it in to the local Apple Store, and after some diagnostics, the hard drive required replacing. It took one day to replace the hard drive and my iMac is running great. I only had the iMac for about 12 months when the drive needed to be replaced. Not sure if that is your Mac's problem, but it was for mine.

Macbook is extremely slow and goes into overdrive when nothing is open

Starting a few weeks ago my MacBook has been acting strange. A few times it will go to sleep, and I am unable to wake it up again. Now, even after running Disc Repair and restarting my computer everything takes a really long time to load (like a few minutes to switch between applications) and the internet is even slow to load (and on my iPhone my connection for internet is just fine). My computer has also been going into overdrive a lot even if I don't have anything open. This is seriously affecting my school work as it takes me 5x as long to do ANYTHING on it. Any suggestions?

By 'overdrive', I assume that you mean the internal fan is running at high speed. You didn't mention the 'spinning beachball'. Does that also show up frequently when you try to switch applications?
Both are symptom of the CPU working at a high % of utilization, and that is often caused by an out-of-control application program process or 'stuck' print job.
1. With no applications running after restarting your computer, open Activity Monitor, view All Processes, and click on the % CPU column to sort programs running in Highest to Lowest CPU activity. If you have any process using more than about 15% CPU momentarily, or anything showing in red as 'Not Responding', you should Force Quit the process, and restart the computer. Check again to see if there is anything else using a high % CPU. Viewing Flash Video on a web page, such as YouTube often causes my fan to come on and CPU utilization to exceed 25% (I've got an older Core2Duo MacBook.)
2. Do you use the computer on a soft surface such as a blanket or pillow? That can restrict airflow. If the computer is used in a dusty environment, maybe there is a significant accumulation of dust & dirt inside the case that is restricting the fan and/or airflow.
3. Check free space on your hard disk. (About This Mac, More Info, Serial-ATA) Less than 15% free (e.g. less than 18Gb free on a 120Gb drive) is likely to cause slow system performance as the hard drive has to keep looking for free space.
4. How much RAM memory do you have? (About This Mac) If you have 1Gb or less, more RAM will increase apparent performance because processes will not have to write memory contents to hard disk, such as when switching applications. But unless one memory stick has recently gone bad (which should generate a Kernel Panic screen) you're not going to notice a SUDDEN decrease in system performance.
5. Have you loaded recent Apple software updates? Have you searched Apple Discussions for other 'slow performance' threads for your computer model? I've taken to waiting weeks or longer before installing the latest Apple updates after checking the forums to be sure that any issues reported do not affect my MacBook model and OS combination.

Process not getting correlated and going into manual recovery stage

I have developed a bpel process which implements correlation. I have unit tested it and is working fine. But am encountering issues in case of load.
The process which should correlate to the running process is going into manual recovery and the correlation is not happening. Whenever is restart the managed server, and then recover the instance things are getting completed and correlation is happening.
Can some one suggest what might be the problem in this case

This occurs because your process has not dehydrated to the dehydration store yet.
The process has not failed but it is waiting for a response from some partner link in your BPEL process. This can be common when calling async ESBs and the ESB fails.
To try and debug this you will need to look at the domain.log and see if any error is generated. Have a look at your BPEL process and see what partner link cal cause a failure yet not send a response back.
Is the DB adapter the only partner link or are there others?

After working fine for over a year, 160 quits working and goes into recover

So, I've had my 160gb iPod for awhile, and it has basically worked fine for a while.
Occasionally, it skips, but I just said whatever, and let it be.
Anyway, today I listened to it frequently, and it started to take about 15 seconds to actually start a song that I picked. So eventually, I became tired of it.
I went to play one song, and it skipped it and the other tracks after it.
I had this problem before, but after converting them to .m4a they worked fine.
However, these songs were already .m4a, so there wasn't too much I could really do.
So, I decided to restart the iPod with the standard Hold on off, select-center button at at the same time thing.
And then I tried to turn it back on, and when I did, it informed me that I needed to restore the iPod.
It showed me a snazzy picture of the USB cable, and explained it to me in a few in a few other languages.
So, I plugged it into the computer to try and get around it, and it informed me that the iPod was in recovery mode?
I've never heard of this, and I ultimately have no idea what to do. I don't want to have to restore, but I guess I'm going to. I'd really like to know why it freaked out on me though.

So after a lot playing around with some stuff, I tried to run a Start Up disk, which is now stuck in my Mac and it just goes to a GRAY screen everytime I go to power up my Mac. Have tried all sorts to get it going, but to know avail. There's not even a start up Chime. HELP PLEASE Thanks in advance.

No startup chime is usually the sign of a hardware failure. If you have an installer disc (or if the disc that's stuck in the optical drive is an installer disc) then you need to try booting from it. But the first thing you need to do is:
Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM
Next:
Booting From An OS X Installer Disc
1. Insert OS X Installer Disc into the optical drive.
2. Restart the computer.
3. Immediately after the chime press and hold down the "C" key.
4. Release the key when the spinning gear below the dark gray Apple logo appears.
5. Wait for installer to finish loading.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
If you can get this far, then you may be able to reinstall OS X without erasing the drive. But you will need to tell us what version of OS X you are using.

It's true. I was loaded down like a mule, approaching my car, needing a free hand, and thinking "I'll just set this on the roof for a moment..."
I drove about 1/2 mile and turned left into rush-hour traffic. No sound, no horns, no frantic hand gestures from fellow drivers, and no sinking feeling whatsoever for several minutes. My iPhone 3gs is shutting down and going into un-recovery mode?? : (

Hi, its my first time on here, due to the fact that I have never ever had any problems with my iPhone 3gs.
Until 3 weeks ago.
It all started when my e-mail decided that it was going to be difficult. so I go to restart my iPhone and my screen lock/ power button does not respond at all. then the trouble ensues.. two days later, (after I ran the battery to nadda so it would turn off) and was fully charged, my phone cut out while I was sending a text. I was connected to wifi. the cell service bars were gone, and 3-5 seconds later my wifi disappeared also. at this point I was thinking dude? and the touch screen was still functioning. so I checked the network settings and my screen became unresponsive. my phone then went instantly to a black but still lit screen and then was off. my lock button still would not work so it wouldn't turn on with that, so I hit the home button and it showed a screen with a iTunes symbol and a USB cord, and a slide for emergency call bar. also there was a little quetion mark circle thing so I tapped it and a screen with two four letter acronyms and a number set for each showed up. long story shortened, I call apple and am on the phone with them for 5-6 hours over the next two weeks. they were of absolutely no use, and proceeded to lay into me about how I am using too much data.. and that my phone is probably not going to be fixable.
I get it to work by popping my sim card and restoring it then puting it back in and factory reset it with the sim card in it.
I get it working again and it is fine until last night. same exact thing.
what can I do?? im lost.

If I was in your shoes, I would choose to restore the iPhone with iTunes and then choose to NOT restore a previous backup. I'd then go on to set up the phone as though it were totally new, and choose the stuff to load onto it.
The reason I'd go through that trouble.. even though it meant losing a lot of settings and having to set stuff up again .. is because I wasn't sure I could trust the backup that it's restoring from.
If you have trouble again after doing the fresh reload -- especially if it's soon after you do it -- you may have a hardware issue with the phone, such as faulty flash memory or a processor chip that's failing. If that's the case, you'll want to consider your repair/replacement options at that point.

Hi, I have a 32gb 3gs, fully update to 4.2.1. In the last few days, the mail application has become almost totally unusable, and safari frequently so. With mail, it's fine when I open the app, and I can even compose/send messages fine. But when I select an email to read, the app crashes, and I'm back at the home screen. It isn't doing it 100% of the time, but probably 95%. Safari is less consistent. Sometimes it works fine, other times it crashes as it's opening. When that happens, and I open it successfully the next time, it displays a page with my bookmark menu, and my open pages are gone.
I've done a soft reset and a hard reset, restoring from my backup in itunes. Am I really supposed to pay $30 to get tech support for this? Any help you can offer would be appreciated. Thanks!

What is the difference between a soft reset and a hard reset?
Is this powering the iPhone off and on and an iPhone reset which is similar to a computer restart?
