What have you tried so far in terms of troubleshooting this issue? Are you plugging the iPod into a high powered USB 2.0 port on the back of your PC? Have you tried a different USB cable?
What shows on the iPod's display when it is connected? Does it still charge?
What happens if you try to reset the device with it still connected to the PC?

The mic is not working on skype, and its not muted
Every time my sister or myself go to use Skype on the IMac, the mic does not work, we can hear the person on the other end but they can not hear us, the mic is not muted, and when you go into the sound settings the mic is on the proper setting from what I can tell, and when I go into speech (under speech recognition) the microphone option for built-in microphone is grayed out. I don't what exactly this all means, but if someone else does, and can help me fix this problem I would greatly appreciate it.
I find it quite frankly perthetic that this issue still occurs and is simply ignored by Apple. You find this problem over and over, mic doesn't seem to work, but calibration does pick up sound, and there is no clear indication what is wrong, and what could possibly be done about it.
Like Dragonlover above, I have the same problem, and while looking through various Forums, I see that A LOT of other customers have the same issue. Help on this is virtually been zero from Apple. I now need to use an external mic which is just what I had in mind when I bot the Macbook Air...
Hope that the next 56 views will not just look and leave but post of they have the same problem, just to show how utterly sad it is that this is clearly a problem not just on the iMac, but on all Macbooks too. Sad Apple...just sad... -

So I tried renting a movie.."Alice In Wonderland" the old one the 1951 one..and it just won't download and last time I called iTunes they say just wait a few days and then once you have plugged it into iTunes it will download..and it hasn't..please help.

Itunes does not read id3 tags and its a problem
Ok I have 60 gig of music and all of it is labeled correctly in id3 tags. But when i add them all to itunes some of the songs are blank with no information at all but if i go into "show in explorer" the information in the id3 tags instantly pops up. I'v searched google and found nothing so i hope someone can tell me a fix or another program to use that will organise my music like itunes does and also can put music on my ipod. So please help me with the problem.
ThanksIt doesn't work. I'v already tried that. I'v even tried converting the id3 tags and then removing them from the libray and adding them again. Still nothing. It might help if someone could tell me where itunes gets it information for its tags when you add music to its libray seeing as it doesn't use id3 tags for the information like any smart program does.

Mememory not read as DDR400 and 4sticks not showing
Ok I have a problem. No 3 problems one is my device mananger is showing a modem unidentified.
My second problem is the board is reading my corsair DDR400 twinx pc3200CL2PT as DDR333. Also when I place all 4 stick 512x256x512x256 it only reads 512x---512x--- it won't pick up the other pair same in windows manerger or the BIOS when I pull the one pair out they feel very warm to the touch. Now is this a BIOS problem or is this board MSI K8N Diamon plus 7220 v 1.0 fuked?DS,
Motherboard companies have two school of thoughts regarding colour coding RAM connector slots.
MSI has choosen to identify their A & B Channels by colour coding consecutive pairs A Green and B Purple. This requires customers who want to acheive dual chanels to put identical DDRs in either the first two or the last two connectors.
Other companies have elected to do it differently by colour coding two consecutive DIMM connectors as yellow or orange. In this case the consecutive yellow and orange connector pairs each contains one A Channel and one B Channel connector. I have never owned an Abit motherboard but they could also be using thie afore mentioned method to ID their Dual Channel Connectors.
No matter what DS paired Dual Channels must hold IDENTICAL DDRs.

I did the software updae 7.0 to my ipad and its now showing the itunes symbol and the usb cord
i bought a new ipad2 everything was working then i did the upgrade oo 7.0 and the ipad never worked after it shows the ipad symbol and the usb cord!
Sounds like it'sgone into recovery mode : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808 - you will need to connect it to your computer's iTunes and you can then restore/resync your content to it
