My computer just stops working sometimes.

Hello, About 2 times a day when i'm using my computer it will just stop working. It will not close anything i have open, but it will not enable me to use them. For example ill be listening to Pandora on my desktop and Google chrome(and explorer) will stop
playing the music and will just sit there. I close the window and try to open it again, and it lights up on the task bar like its about to open, then it just slowly fades and never opens. At this point i go for the restart button and sometimes that does not
work, and i cant access anything so i'm forced to hold the power button then it works for a while after that. Please help me, this is getting very frustrating.

Computer just stops working

So this happens maybe 4 or 5 times a day.. I'll just be doing work, or surfing the internet, or whatever, and then the computer just completely freezes, no mouse movement, no keyboard action, nothing, I've even left it over night to see if it will respond and nothing happened. I've sent a diagnostic to Apple, I've upgraded to 10.5.4 and nothing seems to work, has any body got any ideas what it could be?

You may have a separate hardware test disc that came with the computer. If not use the install disc 1 and hold the option key down at startup to bring up bootable volumes one of which should be the hardware test. Holding the "c" key down at startup with a hardware test disc inserted should boot from it but sometimes holding the "d" key down is necessary. Your manual that came with your computer will be helpful in deciding which method you need to use. Tom

X205-S9810 Computer just stopped working No beeps just black screen

Yesterday my laptop which was running just fine, went to sleep and I couldn't revive it. When I turn it on the fans start, the hard drive initializes then stops, the DVD starts and stops then the fans turn off and that's it. Black screen the entire time. Battery or AC Adapter makes no difference. The clock light flashes amber then red. I always have the AC Adapter plugged in.
I don't understand what could have happened I was using the machine just a few hours before.
I am an experienced builder and I am comfortable doing just about anything with hardware but this one has me puzzled.
Help please I need me computer back.

Try:
- Another cable
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My computer just stopped working... urgent help needed please!

Hello all...
Strangest thing just happened, and I'm on a pretty tight deadline.
Powermac G5, dual 2.0. This morning the computer was working just fine. I left for a couple hours, came back, pressed the mouse to bring it out of sleep, and there was no display on either of my monitors.
I forced a shutdown, and restarted thinking it was just a fluke... but once I restarted, no picture on either monitor. The monitor says there is no signal coming in from the computer.
Everything sounds normal with the machine, so I tried turning up the volume from the keypad, but didn't hear anything. Tried ejecting the superdrive; nothing.
Like I said, everything SOUNDS normal upon startup, and it even came out of sleep mode when I hit the mouse (I heard it startup), but I'm getting no response of any kind and no video out. HELP?
Any ideas here? I'm right in the middle of an editing project, and I HAVE to have it finished by Monday (it's friday right now).

OK, after input from another forum, I ordered a new video card thinking it would solve the issue.
Just installed it, and my computer is still not working. Everything starts up and sounds fine, but I have no signal to the monitors, and no keyboard response.
I tried starting in "firewire target mode" to my laptop, and it did not work.
I took out my main hard drive, connected it to my laptop via USB, and it works fine.
So... it's not the hard drive, not the video card... what else could be going wrong here?

My Airport Express just stops working. Computer keeps searching for it. DSL modem is OK. Have to unplug Airport Express and replug to get it to work again. Starting happening sporaticaly some time ago, but now it is about once a day, maybe twice a day. Ha

Sometimes my iMessages sync to my iPad and sometimes it just stops working

My wireless used to work but not it just stopped working and it works sometimes but mostly not.
I have three other mac laptops in my house and a few computers and they all work with the linksys router and they get on wireless fine.
but when I try to connect with the windows vista laptop it says this computer does not have a wireless network adapter installed and configured...?
and the wireless switch is always orange no matter which way I turn it.
how do i connest to wireless!

Nano just stopped working???

My ipod has just stopped working. I was listening to it this morning and there was more than enough charge in it. I go to turn it on now and nothing, checked to make sure it was not locked and still nothing. Connected it up to the computer and it doesn't even see it as and external device - it's just dead. I only purchased this ipod less than 60 days ago. I did have a weird thing happen about 2 weeks ago as well.......the music stopped and all the pictures were scrambled lines all the graphics on the ipod were gone. I did manage to reset and re sync with my computer that time, but I'm thinking maybe I got a lemon? How do I go about getting this issue resolved? Looking forward to anyones suggestions. BTW I did try to take it back to Walmart where I purchased it and they won't take it back after 10 days what a bunch of crap.

You may need to reset it. So first thing to try is...
Put the hold switch to the OFF/White position. Now toggle it ON/orange then back off again. Then press and hold both the MENU and center buttons on the iPod and hold them for a good 15 seconds or so. Your iPod should reboot starting with the Apple Logo screen.
If it doesn't work the first time, give it a second or third go. Sometimes it takes a few/several tries.

Maybe this has already been answered and I'm sorry but I didnt know what word to use in english to find the exact problem in google lol.
Well, The problem is that my wifi connection seems to stop working sometimes, it takes about 1 to 10 min and then it just comes back. I can notice it because Safari stop to load pages, the appstore doesnt load, and I tried with google chrome : same results
I experience this about 2 to 5 times a day, it's just pretty annoying. The wifi logo shows that it is always connected, it never shows that he is reconnecting
May this be a router problem...? Or simply the computer
My specs : 1,6GHz, intel core i5
2go of RAM. It's a 2 years old MBA

I have tried to charge it but it doens't start and when I tried to connect it with my computer it didn't work either.
I saw that you could hold down the "home" button and the "power" button at the same time but my home button doens't work so I can't do that.
Is there any other way I can fix it or do I have to go to an apple store?

WRT54G - wireless just stopped working on all devices

Hi All,
I've had my WRT54G for a couple of years and have my Desktop hard wired (to the router) and 2 laptops and an ipod connecting wirelessly succefully for the past 2 years.Woke up this morning and nothing will connect wirelessly,finding the router is intermitent and when it does it cannot establish a connection with it. I can connect the devices via the network cable directly to the router and all works fine, it's just wireless that has suddenly stopped working.
I have tried 'turning it off and on again" turning WEP off, changing WEP password etc. but nothing seems to work. Im at a loss as to why my entire wireless network/connection has just stopped working?
Any ideas?

I'm having a similar problem. This past month or so, the router just kicks my wireless computers off the network. Then I can't find the network at all. My work around has been to go into the wireless setting (via my hard-wired computer) and change the wireless channel from 9 to 11 or vice versa. This keeps the network connected for a day or two and then kicks us off again until I change the channel.
I've looked into the solution previously posted of upgrading the Firmware but I'm having a difficult time doing so. I'm on a Mac and the firmware downloads seem to be for PC. The other problem I'm having is that my model is WRT54GS (no version number). Should I assume this is version 1.0? I think so. Anyway, like I said, when I download the firmware for that unit, it shows up as a bin file (WRT54GSv3_4.71.4.001_fw,3.bin). I then expand it and it becomes a cpgz file (WRT54GSv3_4.71.4.001_fw,3.bin.cpgz). And back and forth, over and over again.
How can I upgrade my firmware on my Mac?

My iPod 5th Generation charger just stopped working??

Both my mother and I have iPod 5's and we've only had them maybe 6 months. I've never had any problems with the charger I have which is the white regular one that came with the iPod when I bought it. Today, when I got home from school, I tried to charge my iPod, but it simply wouldn't charge with the wall adapter. I then tried to plug it in to the computer and it still wouldn't work. I then thought it was the charger, so I tried my spare charger, yet it refused to work as well. I also tried it on my mothers iPod and it would not work either. The cables are not broken, I have just used them today. Also we thought it could have been the wall adapter and we used the standard white one by Apple, yet when we plugged it into the wall it said it was not compatible. I don't understand why they would just stop working out of nowhere, when nothing has been done to render them from working.

Is your pc. laptop, whatever Windows -ana what version, like Windows Vista, or Windows 10.
What bit is it? 32 or 64?
You can get that info by right clicking on "My Computer" Uusually on the desktop) and selecting Properties in the drop down menu.
And what version of Fire Fox are you using?
And which plugin are you using, and is it for Flash Player?
This info will help someone to answer your question.
