My computer keeps recognizing my iPad 2 as a camera when I try to sync with iTunes.

I'm unable to sync my iPad 2 with my computer because the dialog box that comes on when I hook the USB up, does not recognize my iPad. It recognizes it as a camera. The source list on the left-hand side of the iTunes screen, doesn't have a "Devices" in the column.

The iPad does have a camera so your computer is acting correctly. Via this you can use the built-in Windows tools to import photos directly from the iPad (or an iPhone).
If you want to sync more things thant that, then you need to use the iTunes software. This will let you sync music, videos, etc.

WHen i go to sync onto my PC the PHOTOs don't show up as available. I was traveling to go see family so i downloaded 5000 pictures to my Ipad. It should be able to copy any photos that you have in the Photos app - it sees all the albums and the photos that I've synced from my computer, as well as the photos that I've taken with the iPad and copied to via the camera kit and saved from emails.
When you open the app you should be given a URL to type in on a browser on your computer - that should then allow you to select an album, and then one or more photos within that album to copy to your computer

Why is my computer shutting down when i try to sync with itunes

does anyone know why my computer is shutting down when i'm trying to sync my i pod. I have tried reinstaling itunes but it hasnt helped.

I had this problem. I held down the power switch to power down completely. Takes a few seconds. Then use the power switch to turn on. Might take a couple goes.

As I said - look whether your original file is damaged or not. If not, I wouldn't change it and find out what in your system makes it sound like it's clipping.
Good sound file, with volume maxed out. No need to change anything.
The same song clipped - no chance to repair.

is there any important stuff saved to your emails? if so you could log on to your emails from a seperate device and back them up. im not sure what else you could do :/

HT1386 I have been syncing my IPad to only one PC computer successfully for over a year. Now when I try to sync I get the message that the ipad is synced with another computer and can be synced with only one. How can I correct this?

Hi Can anyone help. My iPad 2 has been updated with ios7 and now when i try and sync it with itunes (vs 11) I get this error: "the iPad cannot be synced because the computer is no longer authorized for purchased items that are on this ipad". When I try to authorize the computer it says its already authorised as one of the 5 available. I have tried many times and now at a loss. It worked 100% before updating. Please help!

Try reset all settings
Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings
Note: Data will not be affected but settings will be reset.

Sometimes simply restarting your iTunes, the computer and the iPad is all that it takes to correct an issue like this so try that. Quit iTunes, reboot your computer, and restart the iPad. Then try the sync again.

It really doesn't matter what operating system you are using right now, but when you connected the iPad to your computer, did iTunes start up on its own and then give you this message?
