My computer keeps saying it is still importing
My computer will not quit. It keeps saying it is still importing. It has been saying this now for over 12 hours! I am trying to import new photos, but it will not let me. Help!

Yep tried that and it would not stop. I tried running portable Firefox and couldn't, no surprise as it is already running. I had to reboot my PC. You may think that acceptable. When it takes 15 minutes and you don't normally turn off your machine as it needed on then it's a bigger deal.
I ran the portable version again as V5 is crap, basically and there is nowhere to find version 4!!! Thanks for that Mozilla.
It tells me that Firefox is running. I did manage to kill that version at least but why or how is FireFox running after a reboot and using 62 Mb when doing nothing to boot.
Firefox 5 is really slow at remembering URL's when typed in the whole app slows right down and it take 10-15 sec to come up with the same as V4 did straight away. I have to admit my PC in the office does not behave this way with version 5 but this is the real world. -

My MacBook Pro will not allow me to shut down my computer. Their seems to be a glitch in the iPhotos. It says it is still importing photos into iPhoto. It will not allow me to quit either.
You could always hold down the power button to force the MacBook to turn off. This is usually a last resort step though, but if nothing else is working and you are sure it isn't importing photos then you might consider it.

sorry, i don't have the answer, but i think i have the same problem if i may expound:
I did a windows 7 update.... and today i tried to modify some song info in iTuens... I selectd an album with 12 songs in it, right clicked for "Get Info" tied to update album info including year, album artist, etc... but it would not take. I checked the security setting in the windows folder and confirmed i had admin rights etc...still no go... -
I am trying to log onto a Mac Mini I haven't used in awhile and I forgot the password. I am trying to reset the password with my apple ID but the computer keeps saying the Apple ID and the password are incorrect whenever I know they are, as I am using the exact same ID right now.
I have switched my password in the past, so my theory is my mac mini thinks that my password has not changed and it will not update because The Wi-Fi password has also changed so it cannot connect to any servers...Does that sound like I am on the right track?

That's one word with no spaces. Then press return. A Reset Password window opens.
Select your boot volume if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Follow the prompts to reset the password. It's safest to choose a password that includes only the characters a-z, A-Z, and 0-9.
Select
▹ Restart
from the menu bar.
You should now be able to log in with the new password, but your Keychain will be reset (empty.) If you've forgotten the Keychain password (which is ordinarily the same as your login password), there's no way to recover it. -

It's difficult to be sure without doing some network packet sniffing, but if it were another app syncing, it would be an awful coincidence, since it seems to happen only while I'm in Reminders.app -- as soon as I click the home button and go back to the home screen, it stops; when I launch Reminders again, it starts again.
Moreover, it happens when I am not in the house, which rules out iTunes syncing.
Note that it's not the syncing spinner (i.e. two arrows chasing each other in a circle) -- it's the data access spinner (like the wait spinner in many apps and the apple.com search box). -

My computer keeps saying it is no longer authorized to play purchased items, and will not upload to my ipod. When I click to authorize, it says "this computer is already authorized.(Windows 7) What can I do to keep from losing everything?

Let me tell you Sir, I have ways...
Use this to pur your ipod into manually manage:
iTunes: Syncing media content to iOS devices and iPod
Once you do that:
On the left of itunes you will see the word devices.
Under that is your ipod, to the left of it is a sideways triangle.
-Click that
You will see the Apps option under your ipod under devices.
-Click Apps
You will see your App in question, the one that needs authorizing. Do a right click on it. Left click get info.
There you will see the summary of the app and which account purchased it.
Then Authorize the account on your computer. Click store at the top then Authorize this computer.

IPhoto 9.2.3 keeps saying "photos are still being imported"
About an hour ago, I plugged in my DSLR and tried to import photos. However, I accidentally clicked "import all 538." Which, of course, was a mistake. I tried stopping it, but it just froze, and now when I try to import photos, a notification box comes up saying, "Photos are being imported to the photo library. Please wait for photos to complete."
Nothing on the sidebar shows anything importing. How do I fix this?Force Quit iPhoto (that's under the Apple Menu) and try again.
