My Computer monitor wont turn on

Hello.Today i noticed that my desktop PC's monitor wont turn on.I tried various method es to configure this problem but nothing worked. My Desktop model is :HP Media Center m7250n Desktop PC. My Monitor Number Is HP w2007.Please Reply!

ComputerLover18,
The HP w2207 has a power button on the top right quadrant. It glows either yellow (no video) or blue (video) if power is applied. Does the Menu key render anything?

  • T61p 6459CTO monitor wont turn off

    Hello,
Been having a problem with my thinkpad T61p (bios dated 6/6/2008)
I'm using windows XP pro 32bit, fully up to date and have killed all non essential programs from taskman that i can think of and my computer STILL wont turn off its LCD monitor (via energy star count down or FN-F3 shortcut)
it shuts off fine for a couple minuets but then randomly wakes up as if i have touched the mouse or a key...I'm thinking it has to be either a service or an application im overlooking but have no idea where to start...i will provide logs upond request.
    Can anyone help?

everything i could see in bios relating to waking has been disabled from the start.
Ubuntu 8.10 has no problems keeping the monitor off until i move the mouse or hit a key, its just windows XP ... is there a way to see what handle or program is interupting the sleep mode on my LCD?

  • How do you deactivate home shareing on a computer that wont turn on?

My home sharing says i alredy have 5 computers on it and i just got a new one, so i need to deactivate my old one that wont even turn on

As kelly9159 said, you can probably deauthorize all 5 computers.
Go to the iTunes Menubar/Store/View my Account/Login.  In the Apple ID Summary/Computer Authorizations: Select Deauthorize All.
Then on the 2 computers you're using, go to iTunes Menubar/Store/Authorize this Computer

  • Ipod 4g touch is not recognized by computer and wont turn on or restore

I bought and ipod touch off a friend because he had drained the battery and forgot his passcode. I charged it in my car and he entered the wrong passcode too many times so it said ipod disabled connect to itunes. And then it shut off. I have not been able to turn it on since. I tried connecting it to my computer. My computer won't even recognize it. I tried to restore it. Nothing happened. And then while i t was still plugged in, the apple logo screen flashed on and off for about 5 minutes. After that, nothing. Any ideas? I called apple support and they couldn't help because I don't have the serial number. For some reason it is not on the back of the ipod.

    Start her:

  • Music purchased on my Itouch will not load to computer &  ipod wont turn on

I have the 1st generation Itouch and my songs purchased on it will not load to my computer. There's also a big problem, the itouch won't even turn on. All I get is the apple screen. I have tried restarting, restoring, taking it in to best buy, pretty much everything. I don't want all my money spent on music to go down the drain. Do you know if there's any way apple will credit my purchased music on my Itouch?

Where did you pay for the music? They're responsible for handling refunds or financial irregularities. If they ripped you off, contact them.
If you used the iTunes Store, they maintain a record of purchases; you would have received a receipt for same in an email.
You mentioned that the music was purchased on the iTouch. How, exactly? Which platform did you use for the transaction? I doubt Apple will credit you for music unless the purchase was made on the iTunes Store.

  • My comp turns on but my monitors wonT!

so i turn my computer on and my monitors dont. they act as if i didnt turn the computer on. ive tried another monitor also. what could possibly be the problem?!! helpp meee

Ok so a little update. After being fustrated for a bit, i just left it alone and used my dad's old computer. after a day, i just try my luck and turn on my computer that wasnt functioning right and surprise! the monitor turned on with the comp! yay!
so after saving the few documents i needed i was able to play games for a while and watch matrix revolutions. fun! but during thing time of bliss, i get an error that said bios checksum error or cmos checksum error 2 times during the day, and i cant really recall...dang it... then at night it like, reboots, but the monitor doesnt reboot with it. and i turn it off and turn t on again, and hooray! the same problem, my monitor doesnt turn on with the comp. sweet right? so i just leave it be for the rest of the night and i go to sleep and my monitor still wont turn on with the comp....even tho everything in teh comp turns on.
its gay. im gonna try to change the mobo battery. or something. lol. cause i was reading somewhere if it was a cmos checksum error, a simple battry change would do the trick. but for the monitor not turning on, im still and pissed at it.
when i get a laptop, im just gonna RMA every piece of that hardware. so any other comments or suggestions? any would be appreciated.

  • How do I turn off computer monitor when watching DVD movie on TV monitor?

I think this is really a Leopard question because it involves setting up 2 monitors in System Preferences within OSX. 1) I have a wide screen TV connected to my iMac (Intel White Late 2006) through the Mini-DVI port and a separate audio cable. This connection works fine. 2) The purpose of the TV screen is only to watch DVDs using the DVD player and iDVD in my iMac. 3) In System Preferences->Displays->Arrangement, both my computer monitor and the TV screen appear as separate monitors. I have the setting to mirror each other. With this setting, the DVD movie plays on both the iMac computer screen and on the TV screen. 4) FINALLY, MY QUESTION: When watching a DVD on the TV screen, I would like to turn off the monitor in my iMac so that the screen is dark (in sleep mode to save power, etc.); I want only the TV screen to display the movie. How do I turn off only the iMac screen? Thank you. Dale

That's impossible. It can only be done on a laptop but not on an iMac.

what do i do? HELP! thank you.

    Hello jabez2440,
Not being able to use your device can certainly be frustrating. After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help with your iPhone. It contains a number of troubleshooting steps and helpful advice for the issue you are experiencing:
iOS: Not responding or does not turn on - Apple Support
Your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch may occasionally stop responding to buttons, switches, or touchscreen input and may exhibit one or more of these symptoms:
Does not return to the Home screen after you press the Home button
Does not wake from sleep after you press the Sleep/Wake button
Does not turn on (or power on) when you press any button
Does not start up past Apple logo
    Appears frozen or unresponsive
Is unable to "Slide to Unlock" or "Slide to Power Off"
    To troubleshoot these symptoms:
If a single application is not responding or stops responding when it opens, you can force it to close.
If the device is unresponsive or if certain controls aren't working as expected, restart your device.
If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on), reset your device.
If there is no video or if the screen remains black, verify that the device has enough charge to turn on:
If you are using an iPad, ensure that it's connected to the USB Power Adapter supplied with the device.
Let it charge for at least twenty minutes, then see if it starts normally.
If there is no image on the screen, press the Sleep/Wake button to attempt to wake the device.
If the screen displays a red battery icon, continue charging the device until the battery is fully charged. Learn more about charging iPhone and iPod touch, or iPad.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes:
Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane. Learn more about restoring iOS software.
If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try to force the device into recovery mode, and then restore it.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, contact Apple.
Thank you for contributing to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    BobbyD

  • My ipod 5 wont turn on at all and my home button is broken, i tried connecting it to itunes on my computer but nothing works please help!!!

My ipod 5 gen wont turn on at all

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
Ignore the reset and when it says place the iPOd in recovery mode
Place the iPod in recovery mode using one of these programs:
    For PC
RecBoot: Easy Way to Put iPhone into Recovery Mode
    or
    http://joshuabailey1997.wordpress.com/2010/09/02/recboot-v1-3/
    If necessary:
    Download QTMLClient.dll & iTunesMobileDevice.dll for RecBoot
    and
    RecBoot tip
RecBoot may have problems on 64X windows, then try:
Tenorshare ReiBoot – Enter & Exit iPhone, iPad, iPod Recovery Mode with a Single Click
    For MAC or PC
    The Firmware Umbrella - TinyUmbrella
    Installs blootware on PC too
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar
