My computer randomly logs me out for some reason. Help?

It happens sometimes when I'm chatting on RockMelt or AIM, but that's not really significant since I chat with people all the time on those services without having problems. I tried repairing my disk permissions and thought the problem was solved, but apparently it's not because it's still going on. Could it be a background process I don't know about, could I have a virus, or what?

Launch the Console application and look at the file list on the left side of the window. Under System Diagnostic Reports, you will see one or more crash logs for either "WindowServer" or "loginwindow." Post the most recent one.
By the way, despite what you read in these forums, repairing permissions is a waste of time unless you have a specific indication of a permission error, which you don't and probably never will.
There are no known Mac viruses. Mac malware does exist, but it doesn't cause the kind of problem you're experiencing.

Alright, I've had this problem for a while now, and I'm at my wit's end. Hope someone can help me.
First of all, I'm running Windows 8.0 on a Lenovo, using iTunes 11.1.5, and an iPhone on iOS 7.0.6.

On top of that, every time I plug in, my phone gives me the same "Trust this computer?" prompt, like it doesnt recognize the computer I told it to trust 5 seconds ago. A couple times, I got lucky and iTunes dignified me with a "An iPhone has been detected, but could not be identified properly." prompt. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the mobile device driver, updating everything, uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes, resetting my iphone settings, but nothing works. Any ideas?

My MacBook Pro randomly logs me out and in. HELP!

My MacBook Pro 3.1 (late'07) is randomly logging me off when it is under load. Like running Lightroom, Safari stuff like that.
It also happens, when the MBP is running for a couple of hours and I play a video in VLC or Safari and maximize it.
The display turns all of the sudden blue (the blue you see, when you start your Mac), logs me off and instantly on.
All Programs are closed, no work is secured.

In another forum someone said that the WindowServer could be the problem. But I can't find any solution.
Reinstalling the system did not change anything
Another symptom was also a flickering display (both, the external and the build in) and a total freeze.
I don't think that it runs to hot because the MacBook is on a stand and it has also happened in winter.
The Logic board has been exchanged twice because of the Nvidea GPU failure.
Please Help!

Yep! It's' a known problem I'm afraid, very common indeed with that card. Nothing that can be done AFAIK.

We use an Airport Extreme in my office, which works fine for me. Occasionally we need to have more than one computer running on it, but for some reason it won't connect to the internet. It says we have internet, but won't connect to wifi. What's going on?

I use my computer everyday in our office and have no issue connecting to the internet/wifi, but when my boss comes in and tries to connect it doesn't work. It tells her she has internet, but won't connect to the wifi. We've tried a few different tactics(the basic ones I've seen on here), but nothing seems to be working for us. My computer automatically connects to our wifi.
Just recently the Airport Extreme has started with the blinking amber colored light on the front, which I believe means something is wrong? Can anyone help us figure out what's going on and why we can't get my boss' computer to connect as it should?

Here's an update:
Now the light is not blinking. It's a solid, consistant green. I don't know if it helps to narrow it down or anything, but I just figured I'd mention it.

I can't figure this out for some reason.

I want to use a template in DVD studio pro and have the button text fade in at a certain point and have it be highlitghed when it is selected. It seems like it should be a simple thing but I can't figure out how to do it.

You would need to animate the background then bring the overlay in (fade in fade outs as part of movie.)

Fcp menus gray out for some reason

what does it mean if your menus gray out after a render (i have to force quit)?? i upgraded to tiger, is there conflict problem with fcp 4 in tiger? i don't remember having this problem in panther.

I have only had this happen twice and the second time was just this morning. On my laptop running Tiger latest version and FCP 4.5 and QT 7.1 (I think)
Did a long overnight render and this morning... all greyed out.
It's one of those things that make you question wether you're really awake or not because you think it's just that you haven't got the program selected or something equally as simple. And of course, I couldn't remember what caused it last time. (which I believe was pre Tiger)
But after trying everything I could think of, I finally had to Force Quit. Good news is that the only thing I could get to work was SAVE from the keyboard. But it would not quit from the keyboard.
Opened the project after the restart and all was fine.
PS, my computer was set to not sleep.
I had no second monitor attached or selected.
This is the only small issue I've had when using FCP 4.5 and Tiger, otherwise all has been worjing great including capture and PTV.

How do I get all of the music on my computer to transfer to my Iphone? For some reason, itunes has picked up some songs but not others. example, I have several CD's loaded in which only 1 or 2 songs from the CD shows up in itunes.

I have about 70 Cd's loaded on my computer as I had previously owned another MP3 device before I got enamored with the Ipad and Iphone. My problem is itunes will not recognize all of this music. To give a specific example, I have an old Bon Jovi Cd "crossroads" , itunes only recognizes 2 songs off the Cd. How can I get itunes to recognize these songs? They do not show up on itunes anywhere but if i go to my music folder I can locate the songs and it even shows the itunes logo but, the songs will not play with itunes. I've got a few hours of music i would like to have on my iphone. Can anyone please help me with this?

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for this very occasion.
Use your backup copy to put everything on the computer, then sync.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup, not good, then you can transfer itunes purchases from your iphone to your computer - File>Devices>Transfer Purchases

As I said in your original post, iTunes U is not available to any institution, government or otherwise, in South Korea. If or when Apple will extend iTunes U to your country is something none of us here can say, and Apple will not until such time as they're ready to make an announcement. What Apple's criteria and requirements are for being able to open iTunes U in a given country is unknown; there is no "procedure" that any of us here can state or direct you to that you could initiate. It's totally up to Apple, and if they are working on this, I'm sure they know who in the SK government they would need to work with.
Sorry, but you will just have to wait and hope that something develops in the future.

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)

W520 Randomly logging me out

I just bout a W520 and it acting werid recently. It will randomly log me out to the login screen for unkown reason. It log me out while i was typing, moving computer, watching video, closing the lid and also not doing anything. I have Lenovo autolock disabled and have turned off everything that even related to logging out while idleing. Please help, Thanks.

I am trying to connect to my Wifi Network. It is a Galaxy Nexus. I am trying to connect to this Hotspot. I have an iMac that works fine with my network but for some reason with this computer I cannot connect.

So far I have pulled the system configuration file, I have reset safari, I deleted all old passwords from the wifi network in Keychain I restarted both devices. I am at the end here and I cannot get it to work I have an iMac that works fine with my network but for some reason this computer will not connect. It is system wide specifically to my personal hotspot. I can connect fine to any other network (wifi) but just not mine. I have not changed any wifi settings. I have been trying to figure this out. I have a MacBook Pro Late 2006 model running Lion (10.7.5) So any ideas anyone? Please help!

12. At a WiFi hotspot, you can't get connected. The most frequent reason is the login screen for the WiFi hotspot is only able to be connected with a single type of browser. If Safari doesn't work, try Firefox, Chrome, Omniweb, or Opera.
