My computer's fan is so noisy. Should I replace my fan for a new one??

Hi everyone,
I bought my Gaming series AIO PC for about one and a half year. I love it's big screen and slim size. I always use it playing online games or watch some movies. But recently, when I use my computer, I heard a loud noise behind my computer. No matter how many time I restart my computer, the noise just won't disappear. :nooo:Is it too much dust traffic in my computer's fan?? How could I clean it?? Please give me answers. I will be really grateful for all the answers .

MSI AIO PC has smart fan function and it has different fan speed for different CPU temperature.
Example:
The fan speed will be highest during full loading.
The fan speed will be higher during helf-loading.
So this symptom should be normally.

Really hot, as in too hot to touch? Have you tried a reset, or a restore on the device. You need to do those things before you take it to Apple for evaluation. It is Apple's decision if it should be replaced.

Fan is alway running on my new dv7-4290us. Should I exchange for a new one or is this normal?

I just got my new dv7-4290us from the HP store and after a little while of playing with it, I noticed that the fan seems to always be running. It's not spinning very fast, just kind of a soft blowing or purring sound but audible for sure. Is this normal for this notebook or notebooks with quad cores and dedicated graphics? I called HP tech support and asked them if it was normal for the fan to run all the time, but they where kind of clueless with, 3 different guys giving me 3 different answers. I did mess around with some power management settings and the HP Thermal program but that didn't help. Turning off the fan always on setting in the bios just causes the fan to blow up every 20 seconds, so that is not a solution. There wasn't a bios update on the driver page, so I don't know about that as a fix. Otherwise everything seems to be functioning properly with no BSOD or lockups so far. The computer doesn't seem to be running hot (core temps stay under 50°c under light load) and the fan doesn't sound unhealthy like it has a bad bearing or anything. I just want to know if the fan always running at a low speed thing is normal on these machines. From my expereince with notebooks the fan alway running is a sign that your system is not cooling properly, so I wanted to get a second opinion from fellow users before I go through the hastle of exchanging this for a new one.

Does this happen on AC power only? There maybe an option in BIOS for 'Fan always on while on AC power'.

If the problem persits after restoring the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod then you likely have a hardware problem. In that case an appointment at the Genius Bar of an apple store or returing it to Apple is in order.

This is not possible. If the old computer is unusable the only option is "deauthorize all".

I am looking to buy an imac, should i wait a bit for a new version to come out soon? I use it for photo and video editing

ok, i think i posted all my question in the title LOL, I had sync my ipod to my computer over 2yrs ago, my computer crashe and now i have a new one. It will not let my sync my ipod with out reseting my ipod which will delet everthing on it. The problem is all the songs i bought on itunes is backed up on icloud, but i have alot that is from cds that i know longer have and if i did a reset i would lose all that. I'm a worship leader and children's church leader so alot of these songs i need and use ever week. is there any way i can do this without losing alot?

What did you do with the SIM from the iPhone 4? You need to "activate" the phone, but it does not need to be a SIM that is connected to service. It is just what happens when you update the phone. In this case, activation does not mean to activate it on a cellular carrier, but just to activate the phone so it works. I used an external hard drive for my backups via Time Capsule. I bought a new computer and I want to transfer all my old fonts over to the new one but when I go into the Font Library from the hard drive backup but my downloaded fonts aren't there?

I used an external hard drive to back up my computer using Time Capsule before I bought a new one. I am slowly transferring information fromt he backup to my new computer and I want to transfer over my old font book. When I go into the Font folder on the hard drive the only fonts that show up are the ones that came stock with the computer not any of the ones I have downloaded over time. Could they be downloaded somewhere else?

The answer to that would probably be "Yes." If you don't remember where your fonts were stored, you may want to search your backups for any of the font files you know the names to. See where that takes you.
Ideally, Font Book and other font managers will temporarily store the fonts you "installed" into the System when you run the OS. When you shut down, etc. they are removed and reloaded on restart. The permanent place fonts reside is where you saved them when or after you downloaded them. I typically create a Resources folder on the root level of the computer and place a Fonts folder there. Then I install fonts from there, and they are available to all users on that iMac.
Perhaps if you did not have that kind of a strategy, perhaps many of them are still in your Downloads folder?

I had an old Windows XP PC that I had my iTunes library on and I would purchase music through iTunes and it could be shared with my kids 2 iPods and our 2 iPads. I also have an older 30gig iPod Video that I would sync with my old desktop computer. I did iMatch and have everything stored on iCloud. I bought a windows 8 PC to replace the old desktop and thought that I could simply log into my Apple account with my new computer and essentially "download" my library onto the new computer. That is not working for me. I can see all the music listed in iTunes but the text is greyed out and I cannot play any of the music from my desktop. I deauthorized my old computer and as far as I can tell I authorized my new one. I cannot see my Purchases music folder on the new computer. On top of this, my son wiped everything off of his iPod Touch (4th gen) and I am trying to get the games and things I purchased from the App Store reinstalled on his iPod. Can anyone tell me what I need to do? HELP!!! LOL

Material in warranty should be returned, but not before receiving new one

I would like to know how does standard SAP manage this situation:
Imagine I have received one material but then, when checking the material I discover it has some defects, so I have to return it.
The thing is that I shouldn't return the material while not receiving the new one. So I should be able to create a new order for the new material which is going to substitute the old one. The new material should be received at price 0 and shoudn't change the average price of the material. Once this new material is received I should pay the old material's invoice.
Imagine this same situation happens when the material is being used after some months. This material is supposed to have a warranty. How would standard SAP treat this case?

You can make return of the material through return PO, with 0 value,
then the second material is received in migo as goods receipt against other with movement 511,
which is free of charge delivery, this way no cost of material gets hit and you receive and return the material.

Should I get Microsoft office for my new MBP?

I ordered my MPB 13" online and added iWork. It was much cheaper than Microsoft Office and looked nice and fancy Should I get Microsoft Office too? I had it on my old laptop (not a mac).
I'm a university student so I am unsure if iWork will be as compatable with lecture ppts and notes etc.
Any suggestions?

It may depend on what your major is, but iwork should be an excellent program for your use at college. I've used both Microsoft office and iWork for years. iWork is much more intuitive than MS office and is less $. You can save documents from iWork in MS office format. I've heard there are some advanced features in MS office that iWork doesn't have, but I've never needed them in my professional use.
You might try iWork and see how it works and if you need to get MS office in the future it's pretty inexpensive since you are a student.

Well, it depends how long you can wait. We can't discuss rumors on here about release dates.
Look at what you actually need though and decide how soon you need something.
What you'll want to realize is that every year or two something new will come out.. so you have to learn to fight off the "I need the new one" bug if you want to be satisfied with your purchase. At your age you probably won't get the opportunity to upgrade for a while, so you'll have to learn to live with your purchase decision longer.
If the iPad 2 in it's current state does everything you want, and you enjoy playing around on it a lot, I'd get it now and be happy. If you feel like you want the newest of the new and are willing to wait (in line and for it to release) then you should wait for the next release.
The iPad 2s are finally becoming available after many months backlog, so keep in mind the next release will likely be the same way and think if you could really wait that long to get something.
Alternatively you could also consider getting a used iPad 1, then use that while waiting for the next version. The used one could then be resold for a fair amount once the new one comes out. Apple products tend to have a pretty good resale value, and the iPads are extraordinarily popular.
