My computer somehow restarted then deleted all my progress from Word documents. Is there any way to get these documents back without purchase of a data recovery software?
Recently when I open my Mac the screen stays black until I press the start button a few times. Usually at this point it's in sleep mode. This time, however, the computer restarted completely, losing any word documents that I had left open prior. Is there any way I can recover these files without a purchase of a data recovery software? I've tried looking in the 'recent' tab, but it didn't save anything I have done in the last week, and finals are this coming week. Please help!
If the system just Restarted on it's own, Shut down while you were working on something then started back up all those changes, edits, you had done in that app, document, are gone.

I linked my outlook express with icloud, not realizing it would change my outlook express contacts. I deleted email addresses from my iphone, not wanting them there which in turn deleted them from my PC. Is there any way to get these addresses back? Seems I no longer have an outlook contacts list.
It's Outlook, not Outlook Express (different program) and if you have now deleted them from iCloud and do not have a backup they are gone.

I had to restore my settings - my phone shut down - so when i put it in computer ALL my daughters memory came to my phone - how do I get my stuff back on my phone
Did you backup your iPhone to iTunes?
You can restore your iPhone from a backup.
If there are multiple backup devices, look for your backup and restore yoyr iPhone from that backup. -

lost all my notes in my iphone 5s and so i went to my ipad and pulled the notes up and seen them for a Sec then they were gone. Please is there any way to get my notes back?
Do you have a back up?
If not you're into using file recovery software like File Salvage - you can download a free trial and it will scan the disk for you and tell you with might be recoverable. Actual recovery will require that you purchase the app. There may be many files with the same or similar names. Always recover the largest file size.
There are other such apps. Search on Macupdate or the App Store -

Ah, well, then the notes are probably gone. Did you save any of the email from that account on your computer? The notes might be there if you did.

just restored my iphone to be like my ipod and I lost all my photos and videos..is there any way to get them back?
You restored your iPhone with iTunes from the backup for your iPod Touch?
If so, photos/videos that were in your iPhone's Camera Roll should have been imported by your computer before doing this. You could then transfer these photos/videos back to your iPhone via the iTunes sync process. -
my computer crashed and lost my itunes, now i have a new computer...is there any way to get my music back from my account
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion.
Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to backup, not good, then you can redownload some purchases in some countries.

My old computer crashed and I had several redeemed movies on it. Is there any way to get them on to my new computer?
Unless you have a backup copy or can use the drive from the old computer in an external enclosure, no.
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519 - enabled with iTunes 10.3 and newer; not available in all countries; only apps, books (not audiobooks), music, and t.v. shows (not movies). Discontinued items not available. For items not included in the iCloud list, or locations or computer systems where iCloud is not (yet?) available, you only get one download per fee paid. Apple notes it is your responsibility to back up your purchases. -
Hi, my daughter connected her ipone to my mac and lost all of her pictures, music, etc. is there any way to get the information back?
<Edited by Host>Does she normally sync to the MAC? IF she does, she can restore her phone from a backup, if she has one.
If she doesn't normally sync to the MAC then she can sync back to her PC and then restore to her backup.
If those options don't work then she is sol -
Is there any way to get my playlists back, or do I need to create them all again?
Just installed iTunes on HP Envy running windows 8.1 and downloaded my music from external drive. On my previous device I had my music sorted into playlists. Is there any way to get my playlists back, or do I need to create them all again?
Hi there msc74,
If you still have access to your previous computer, the easiest way to accomplish this is to transfer the iTunes library to your new device. Take a look at the article below for more information.
